Does the power usage go crazy when traction control kicks in? Does the vehicle jerk and vibrate? Both of these things occur in my ICE cars when the traction control activates. Perhaps since Model S is able to quickly stop/start the motor in low-traction situations, these things are avoided?
Traction control works by modulating the power it sends to the motor, so power usage doesn't spike, it goes down or stays low. There is no jerkiness or vibration with the TC, it is very smooth. ABS does the normal jerky braking to stop.
Uh, not to be a dick but the whole point of this video was to show you driving it in snow, to show its performance, the initial demonstration in the parking lot established a difference, but going up the hill was THE POINT. It was THE DEMONSTRATION. So first, there is no reason to post this video without it, second, skeptics will assume you shut it off because the car failed.
Is it just the cam or are those wiper blades noisy?

up by point of the mountain lehi?
Is your MS dual motor or single motor?
The P85+ is rear wheel drive. Check my other videos for a dual motor run up the same hill.
HighTechJoe thanks Joe
BS! Your camera shut off right when you were basically slipping backwards... there's no way you got going!
The whole validity of your vid is down the toilet with the vid cutting right at the most vital point... FAIL
This in Minnesota?
Looks like Utah to me. In a Mormon Church parking lot.
Makes me dizzy.
Was that up in traverse mountain?
