- Located in the north part of the peninsula, the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia embraces the territories of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
This is a region where modern pro western economic values and principles intersect with robust elements of Muslim culture, an intriguing and dynamic meeting.
Many think that there are no Christians in Arabia and they are surprised when they visit the region only to face a vibrant Catholic community, despite the limitations and restrictions for pastoral care.
One can say that today Arabia is the face of a living and universal Church, a “bridge” between diverse areas of the world and therefore between diverse cultures.

In Iraq, Egypt, Syria , Palestine, Jordan & other Arab countries there are millions of Christians & they are native Arabs.. I live in Iraq , only in the capital Baghadad there are more than 72 churches & we have so so many native arabs that are christians

Hi I live and work in Oman. We share the boarder with Saudi and the UAE...There a lot of Catholics here too...and a great freedom to practice our faith. And we are grateful to The Sultan for his kindness.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many Catholics in Arabia and the fact there are so many in Saudi blows my mind!!! This is wonderful news to me and brought a tear to my eye! What struck me was the degree of reverence and that people will put themselves out to get to Mass! I am a revert and have been struck on my return to the practise of my faith,how little reverence people have at Mass these days in our parish. I think that Ireland needs a revival of the faith- who knows,maybe Arabia will send missionaries to Ireland? Seriously! We need to shake ourselves out of our apathy in Ireland,and realise how blessed we are- so many of us only have to walk a few minutes down the road to get to Mass and too many can't even be bothered to do that! These brothers and sisters in Christ put us to shame!

@cucueire Thank you and I agree that the Novus Ordo has little reverence to it;I also think all the rapid changes have confused people and they often don't know what to say anymore or they find themselves saying the old prayers from years ago like I do sometimes or don't join in when they should and do join in when they shouldn't like at the end of the Offertory. We need more strong priests I do agree,like the priest who refused that YES voting TD Communion and there a big stink about it- he was right though and ALL YES voters should have been refused the Eucharist unless they'd confessed and been absolved,anything less is sacralidge.My Parish Priest told me people had voted YES "in good faith" which shocked me so much I was struck dumb! How can one vote to take away the right to life from a vulnerable, innocent group of humans "in good faith"? We need Mary's prayers more than ever!
No need dahwah from Saudi. Saudi is not the ideal Islamic community. Slow but sure, many European will convert Islam because their logical thinking.
In this vidio, they are Arabian Christian but mostly are Indian Catholic living in the Middle East. Look...their face and name ..
Don't forget...Warakah, the cousin of Muhammad's wife, was a Christian, who jump started the new movement, as the seed already been planted there, but was not fertilised properly..now the holy spirit is reengineering the evangelism there.. Alleluia
It's the same with Muslims honestly. There are a certain groups of Muslims who cannot practice faith freely in Saudi and kid you not they'll travel hours just to attend Friday Prayers or other religious occasions. Me myself have missed prayer on Friday where as the Nearest local Masjid is 15 mins walk. Sometimes our faith takes it easy because we have all the things readily served to us. People not having it know and understand that it's real value. This reminds me that i wanna attend prayers now.

Mesti bangga karena itu keyakinan, kebenaran yang kau yakini. Tapi jangan bersedih ya... populasi Chatolic menurun secara signifikan karena convert ke Protestan, Islam dan hasil misi gila gilaan di tahun 70 -80 an di lereng Merbabu, Merapi mulai mengalami arus balik pada generasi sesudahnya. Sekolah2 Katholik di Jateng, Jatim banyak yg tutup,....kalau ga percaya, boleh cari data sendiri. Silahkan....

Beautiful how women keep their veils during mass. A reverence we women in the west should bring back into practice. Modesty is so pleasing to God.
Exactly ... a veiled woman is the ultimate expression of Humility second only to The Cross itself. If you vision/understand The Cross to include Mary suffering beneath it you have included what is necessary for Salvation. This is explicit in the Gospel of John.
