sorry for late reply, i totally agree your opinion. in South Korea, if you can not hit high c well, but have quite good middle register, you may be guided to sing Baritone role. Koreans really crazy for high C, and most operas performed in Korea is Italian opera, Wagner is rarely rendered. so opera companies don't need Hindel tenor.

After a little time searching, I found that the name of this aria is "Quand la flamme de l´amour" from the Bizet´s "La jolie fille de Perth"...Hope it helps someone who didpt know this piece too...

You can't tell if a voice is a dramatic tenor just because it sounds good in a high register, probably just a good high baritone.

@SuperDarchangel Das ist die Arie die er zum Semi-Finale gewählt hat und dort hat noch niemand einen Platz bekommen ach so die Arie ist von Rossinis "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" und wird "La Calunnia" gennant. Mit "Madamina" hat er denn zweiten belegt aber kennst du ja dann bestimmt, denn die muss ja glaub ich auch gekannt werden....

Does he get at all the meaning of what he sings? The voice is not for this piece .It's like singing lieder instead of grand opera.

I guess he is not even a Bariton... he is a Dramatic Tenor... The voice sounds better in the high register. Please... they need Voice Teachers in Korea!
