Carol, I enjoyed your wip parade. It made me feel better about my various projects. When I look at my investment in my patterns, fabric, and floss, I think about the hours and hours of enjoyment that this hobby gives me. I tell my husband that it's cheaper than a therapist, but I don't think that it is. Chuckle! Thank you...
I enjoyed listening and watching your WIP parade eventhough it is from a few years ago. So many beautiful threads, patterns, and linen. Thank you for sharing. It's your craft. If you have a 100 or just one, we are here to see your progress and be inspired. I have a few of yours on my wish list. I'm inspired to just get those out and get them ready to stitch. Time waits for no one. Love your channel.
Carole, I love all your samplers, and will go back and watch this awesome video again... I love your color selections and fabric choices...wishing you JOY...and happy stitching ❤️
I will watch this over and over, just like all your others. I have a Carol, Brenda and Laura Journal I take notes in. Love you and your videos, Liz, Marianna, Florida
I completely understand how our OCD brains won't let us sleep when we know there's a mistake in a piece!! I'm stitching Dorothy Walpole and my main boarder met up and I was so excited! I stitched a horizontal boarder only to have a heart attack when I ,,,,,,was 1 thread off...soooo I ripped it out and stitched it a second time, still off. Then and I pulled a section of the main boarder out and stitched it again...1 thread off.🤦♀️ I'm leaving it for now and I'll work around it. Those itty bitty threads always cause problems. Lol All your WIPS are beautiful. Your framed pieces you showed are magnificent! The not being able to find something you know you have....been there and go there at least once a day! Happy Stitching!😊❤
I am new to your channel. I have been cross stitching off and on since the 80's. I was never a fan of samplers until the past year. OMGoodness. They are wonderful. After hearing the history of many of them, it's hard to imagine 9 year olds who stitched some of them. Your wall and WIP's are just fascinating. I have not tried any counted fabric besides 28. When I see someone's work on 32 and 40, I am simply amazed. Your work is phenomenal. This video was awesome and I watched the entire video in one sitting. Thanks for a great evening.
Carol, no explanation or apology for beautiful WIPs necessary. Silks are heavenly to stitch with, I use them a lot. Plantation sampler is my unicorn, I know I will find it eventually! I made some notes about your fabrics, you have such a good eye. You reminded of so many gorgeous charts I have, Mary Good, Ann Rayner, Mary Gibson, Miss Manners, etc.! I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you so much for taking the time to make it. ❤️ Susan Murphy
Watching your video the other night around 12:30, and you made me crack up!!! I can’t wait to be at the Goodwill to pick up one of your gorgeous samplers!!! So keep on stitching with the silk....lol lol lol Pleasure watching, stay well.❤️❤️
Carol you are a force of nature!! Your finishes and wips are jaw dropping. I know you hear that you are a lighting fast stitcher all the time... but WOW I got a little dizzy with your gorgeous samplers finished last year. I aspire to finish one or two but now I think I need to up my game, LOL. Such a treat to have you in my stitching room today and of course I watched it all at once. Have a great time stitching till we get to see you again!
You know, Carol, I so enjoyed this video. I like to watch your videos at bedtime. ( I am amazed at your plans.) I feel like I am sitting there with you and chatting. You are very calming. You of course you are presenting so it would be calm for me. I enjoy finding out what you love. Do you ever sit on the other side of this table and just look at all your samplers? Thank you for the chat and your "showcase". You inspire me thru your love of cross stitching samplers. ❤ thank you
I'm going to name you the Sampler Queen . Never saw so many beautiful Finishes or wip's as your's. I'm like you on one thing. I'm 72 and still working full time. I don't have any other bad habit's on spending money. I've gotten to were if i want something in cross stitch i buy it, Even though have way more than i'll ever get stitched, My last finished sample was Let Freedom Ring buy Lili's Studio. I'm working on Land That I Love by Teresa Kogul now, Love the colors in it, Hope you have a great day.
Great projects Carol. Your top quilting work is not easy and takes skill. You work hard. Never feel guilty.!! Happy new year! Sending good vibes your way🌻
Sampler Lady of many BEAUTIFUL WIPS...Thank you for sharing your progress on your patterns!! Carol, I can finally say I am about halfway on HEIOTS!! So this year I've got to get some stitches in to finish the top half!! You are One of the FT who make STITCHING fun and a joy b\c you don't worry about how many WIPS you have!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2021!!
You are a breath of sunshine and humor in this troubling world!! Thank you!! By the way, you're not neurotic -- you're just HIGHLY detail-oriented!! To label project bags, some people use metal rimmed key tags, but I don't think there's enough room to write on them OR I'd have to write really, really tiny, then I probably wouldn't be able to read it the next time I looked. 😁 I think "paper gift tags" work better -- more room to write (the tags are actually made of a heavy card stock)!
Love all the wips. I don’t know what it is but seriously, I really like the crinkle sound of someone opening the stitch packages, seriously. I think it reminds me of how happy I am when I am going through stash.
You are such an inspiration!! I love your humor! You don't need to explain how you pay for things it's your privilege to enjoy. You and I could be friends I think. We do what we do because we do!!! Lol love your work!! Good job!! Enjoy your day!!
What a joy it was to see your finishes, WIPs, and 2021 plans - I look forward to watching your progress. You are not OCD, you are just on a “mission” when you are determined to find or do something!! LOL. Enjoy all of your stitching and your quilting. I also have “Seven Sheep” started, and mine is on a darker fabric too; I really prefer it. I need to get it out and work on it. I finished BBD, My Heart Can Rest, and I am now working on Oh Joyous Day; just love BBD. FYI - Alma only lives a short distance from where my daughter lives in KC. Hugs and happy stitching..................
I know Alma from many years ago before BBD. She worked at Saltbox Sampler quilt shop. I love the Overland Park area of KC! Thanks for you continued kind words.
I’m glad I didn’t miss the parade. Fantastic!!!! Loved every minute of it!!! Beautiful patterns, flosses and fabrics!!! We all need to do something that truly brings us happiness. No one should have to explain that!!! Take care and get to your stitching!!!
What a lovely way to spend some time seeing all your WIP's. I am one to start and finish each piece as I go, so do not have that many WIP's on hand. I love seeing what you have ahead to stitch. Busy, busy and thanks so much for sharing your plans. Like you, I am running out of wall space as I also collect various prints, but love, love, love samplers. Have a great week and gets lots stitched. Norma in Boise, ID
When I get the notification that you have a new video up, I drop whatever I’m doing and sit down to watch!!😊 And you NEVER disappoint!! You should not feel self conscious about your WIP’s!! NO JUDGMENT here!!♥️
If you mention the word Goodwill in relation to your masterpieces again, I may have to leave Texas and come all the way to Florida to wash your mouth out with soap. 🤣😜🤣 Your stitching is amazing! You may want to keep a computer spreadsheet with the costs of each of your samplers so that your family realizes how valuable they are and gets them into the right hands some day. Surely, your children will appreciate them! You cracked me up looking around the walls of your home wondering where you’ll hang the rest of your work. 🤣 “Oops, Honey, we need a three story house!!!” 🏠🤣 And, when you looked down not wanting them close to the ground. 🤣🤣🤣 I would lose it if my stitching got dirty from the floor. I just love your videos. I got a lot of stitching done while watching this lovely sampler marathon. Keep up the great work! I’m so glad that you get to enjoy the best silks. I wish that I knew how to sew and I’d prep a quilt for you to long arm. It is on my new year’s resolution list to learn to sew this year. I bought my neighbor’s 1990’s Singer. Now, I need to figure out how to thread it. 🤣.😊 Take care, friend! Happy stitching! 🥰🥰🥰
I soooooo enjoy our visits. I always watch you from beginning to end in one shot. You bring a bit of sunshine into my day. It’s hard to believe we are in 2021. So much happening in this world time flys by so quickly. Have a wonderful stitchy week.
Carol, I love your videos. We all have stash and WIP’s/UFO’s>. Your home is so beautiful and those walls filled with your work is mighty impressive. I aspire to make my first sampler this year. Keep them coming. And your husbands beautiful stackable boxes are amazing!
Amazing!!! Last year I stitched a piece I bought from Nicole Neville. She stitches opposite from me but I left her stitches in...it was an honor to have her stitches in something I stitched. One cannot even tell...unless you know and are looking for it. Thanks for another video of eye candy!!
So glad I found your channel. U-tube had figured I had watched enough quilting so cross stitch popped up. I am a fairly new widow and I enjoy having “company” and inviting you all in my home. I crafted years ago, bears, Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, cross stitch etc. My coworker sold me a Bernina and I started quilting via u-tube. Ready for a new inspiration that I can do in the evenings or at the beach. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces, truly inspirational!!!
I just found you on Flosstube and just watched the most recent two today. Besides your stitching, I love the Shaker boxes you husband made and I absolutely loved the comments about Goodwill. We don't have any children, so I'm not sure my pieces will even make it that far.
Enjoyed your WIP parade; so many beautiful projects. Looking forward to seeing your 2021 stitching progress. I'm working on my first BBD design - Mighty Acorn from Winds of Autumn, my new year, new start 2021. I'm really enjoying it. Hope you are having a great week. Happy Stitching!
Oh my goodness, loved this video! Your work is so wonderful the projects are beautiful I'm jealous that I didn't get back into this craft earlier. Started it in my late 20's put it away for along time and just restarted. Thanks for again for the video I know it must take alot of time out of your day but I think we all love seeing your work! Thanks again and Happy Stitching!
I also had a time when stitching was on the back burner. I worked and taught at a quilt shop and quilting took up most of my time. Just be thankful you’re back to it again. Ps the choice of designs is much better now too!!!
Hi Carol, I am a regular viewer but think this might be the first time I commented. I just finished Plantation Sampler and it’s at the framers right now. I absolutely loved stitching that piece! I did mine on LL Vintage Pecan Butter with a Shepherds Bush conversion to a more modern color palette. I was at the 2018 and 2019 Midwest Retreat at the crazy table with Pam and Steph, Marcy, Tara and Lynda Jo 😂 Thanks for a terrific sampler WIP parade!
I hope I am at the Goodwill near you when your samplers arrive there...I don't know if I will ever do a large sampler, but I love seeing yours....l love cross stitching, so maybe someday... Thank you for sharing your wips! They are truly all amazing...you are going to enjoy this year..
I enjoy your videos so much and look forward to each one! Thank you (and your husband) for all the work you put into them. The wip parade was fantastic! Thanks for keeping it real!
You have some beauties to look forward to in 2021! Cannot wait to see your progress on some of these! Don't feel you have to explain your collection! It brings you happiness and that is all that matters!
You have an amazing collection of stitching artwork. Absolutely breath taking 😍 thank you for showing us all your beautiful pieces 🙋♀️ I am a quilter as well and I can only imagine the heirloom quality work you’ve got in that department as well. This has been one of my favourite WIP parades 🙋♀️
Loved your wip parade! I love seeing your samplers because I see some I’ve not seen before. Also love hearing your opinion about silks and threads and fabric (especially the part about silk being a stronger fiber and would last longer at Goodwill, 😂😂). So many pretty ones. The Mary Goode one, the chart looked a little more prim than the actual part you have done, I loved it!! The HRH that Christy and you have traded, I like that you’re going to keep some of her stitching on it. I think even leaving the different stitched area is a story to tell. Thanks for the video and all the inspiration!! Happy New Year!
I’m so jealous loved all your WIPS....if I showed mine it would be a full length movie...maybe I could hope for an Oscar....I spend my fun money on my hobby it could be worse I’m hooked on and I don’t feel bad at all it makes me happy....see ya on the red carpet
I'm 'GASPING' that you are using NPIs on HRH!!! Just gasping...........guess what? So am I so we can be crazy old ladies together. LOL. We have a lot of the same WIPS. I see Anna behind you and I like how you put it on a stand. She is my current focus. :).
Me, too! I kitted up my HRHs when Wyndham Needleworks was closing and she had a huge sale on NPIs. I did this while I was still working, planning for my future stitching in retirement.
So many fabulous WIPS! It's incredible how much joy our hobby brings us. It was such fun to see them and will be fun to see which ones you decide to work on - they are all such wonderful choices! Thanks again for sharing these beautiful charts. (I agree that you should finish AOTH as you are so close and it is stunning!) Stay safe and happy stitching!
I have a small yarn dyeing business and I do the same. A lot of the money I make goes right back into crafts I love, mostly supporting small businesses. My birthday is also the same weekend as your daughter’s but I’m closer to your age, lol. I also am going to Disney the week after, We love it! XOXO
What a fabulous episode! I totally understand the whole ripping out and redoing thing for one stitch, this is precisely why my His Eye is on the Sparrow has been in time out for years! I was trying to decide whether to rip it out, or try to work around the mistake-my border is off by 1 stitch. But, I realize that if I don't fix it, it will bother me for the rest of my days. So, I plan to get back to it in 2021. Besides that one, I think I counted 6 others in your wip parade, that are also in mine. Best of luck, I look forward to seeing your progress! See you soon!
Watch in segments?!?! No way!! The long videos are perfect for weekend stitching!! Thank you for the wonderful WIP parade. I have a lot of kitted projects, and now I want to start them all! 😂
Love this video!! And it’s not too long at all - I love to watch all your beautiful stitching :)). And I now have an even longer list of samplers I want to stitch!! Thanks for sharing. You stitch what makes you happy with the supplies you enjoy using and that’s what our hobby is all about :)
Wow! I watched this all in one segment. Great. Thanks for more enabling, Carol. Lots of wonderful stichy goodness! One thin, you'll never be bored! Have a great weekend!
Thank you for your video. That was fun! It's what we love, so how many WIPS one has doesn't matter. It's therapy! I stitched along, and sipped along. 15 times, you said "I want to get back to that". Just FYI, you said it twice for Ann Unfindel (spelling?)! 😁😄 Take care and happy stitching!
My kids used to be in band and in parade competitions the highest award was an Ultimate Superior...You absolutely hands down win an Ultimate Superior in my book! Your flosstubes bring such joy and this video brought much needed distraction to a somewhat dismal week. Thank you mucho for sharing! I just ordered npi silks this morning for a first attempt so was thrilled to hear you love them...what timely reinforcement! happy stitching!
Fabulous!! How inspiring to see your WIPS and hear your plans! You accomplish so much that I have no doubt you will finish many this year. Thanks for sharing- always a joy to watch!!
Wow, wow, wow! You are such a prolific stitcher. Thank you so much for spending all that time and effort to show us your finishes and your wips! You are amazing and you never need to apologize for long videos, I think we all love them. Blessings in 2021 for you and your family 😊
Hi Carol, Your WIP pile is totally enabling. Near the end you mentioned doing a DMC to NPI conversion at Stitchville. NPI makes a thread card set. It is not cheap, but may be worth it since you use their threads so often. I think you can order it on their website. I live near San Francisco and their store is a fun trip if you ever come to this area. I played the drinking game and went through a little over a quart of water. Thankfully, I wasn’t drinking wine 🍷. 😂. I love your videos. Happy New Year and be well.
I watched Brenda and the Serial Starter yesterday and watching you today. Finally sitting outside in the sunshine, very cool morning in Parrish. I brought lot of fabric and patterns to quilt on these cool cloudy days, but hooked on cross stitch. Working on my fourth piece! Still a new beginner. Love your videos😍
Oh no, this was a one sitting viewing with a nice warm cup of tea and pen and paper!!! It's so nice to watch your WIPS parade. Inspiration, Inspiration , Inspiration!!! Happy New Year and can't wait to see your 2021 stitchings.
Love a wip parade! Yours was wonderful. I love seeing all your big samplers. I did 61 pieces in 2020. Lots of smalls. Samplers but you know my rule 150 by 150. I am so thrilled to be on your hubby waiting list. Happy stitching!
Thank you, Carol. I love the long ones. I get plenty of inspiration and get plenty of stitching done while watching. Happy New Year to you and your family from us here in New Zealand.
Hello from NC Carol! You are so inspiring and a very talented lady. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful pieces with us. I just put an All Creatures Great and Small in my shopping cart. Thinking about it. Life is never dull for those of us who stitch. It is always fun!
Loved the drinking game today. I think I got my whole day's hydration in. Haha! I love all of your works in progress. Each one of them is so beautiful and very inspiring.
What an amazing legacy of needlework Carol, it’s beautiful, every stitch, every piece. I watch your videos and get so inspired.
Love you back ♥️ Your flosstubes are absolutely wonderful Carol. Your stitching brings us a lot of joy. Thank you so much 😊
Carole, I love all your samplers, and will go back and watch this awesome video again... I love your color selections and fabric choices...wishing you JOY...and happy stitching ❤️
Your videos are NEVER too long...love everything you show. ❤️
I will watch this over and over, just like all your others. I have a Carol, Brenda and Laura Journal I take notes in. Love you and your videos, Liz, Marianna, Florida

The not being able to find something you know you have....been there and go there at least once a day!
Happy Stitching!😊❤
Yes I’ve had that happen when you’re border meets but is actually off. Those nasty 3 thread stitches!!!
I am new to your channel. I have been cross stitching off and on since the 80's. I was never a fan of samplers until the past year. OMGoodness. They are wonderful. Yes I remember you!!! Love your videos with your beautiful scenery!! Snd I think there were quite a few crazy tables at those retreats!!!! And thanks!
Wow, Carol....that was great ! It have me a push to get going !!!! Thanks for sharing .
I hope I am at the Goodwill near you when your samplers arrive there...I don't know if I will ever do a large sampler, but I love seeing yours....l love cross stitching, so maybe someday...
Thank you for sharing your wips! They are truly all amazing...you are going to enjoy this year..
Glad you found the error, they drive me bonkers too. Nice finishes, BBD 🥰 ... I’d rip out the stuff under the pumpkins, and continue. Great projects.
Love 💗 watching your video you have so many stunning finishes. Love the progress of your wips. Have a wonderful evening and happy stitching 🧵 😊💗🤗
Love your WIP parade.
You have beautiful Samplers in the works, & beautiful framed finishes.
Marilyn
Your video was wonderful! Not ever too long! I just got on my recumbent bike and rode till your video was done!
Love all your finishes and wips. Happy stitching!
It was like Eye Candy everywhere....wow....you are going have a fun year...take care and be safe
I knew there would be viewers thinking $$$$ but you ya know...... it’s all good. So glad I’m not the only goofy one.
Me, too! I kitted up my HRHs when Wyndham Needleworks was closing and she had a huge sale on NPIs. I did this while I was still working, planning for my future stitching in retirement.
Love your video Carol! You have some beautiful patterns to work on. So inspired by you! Take care!
Wow! I think my mouth was open the entire time. Amazing work
All things are very beautiful. You have been working very hard this year.
Oh my......Awesome!!! Look forward to your finishes. All beautiful!
Love- loveLOVE it all!!!! I don’t feel so bad now with all my wips! Lol! Enjoyed every minute!!!
So fun to see all of your WIPs - thanks for sharing! -Sheri
Carol, it was a delight to watch your WIP Parade. Tks so much for sharing all those beauties with us. Happy Stitching. Xoxo. Miriam
Really enjoyed your wip parade!! Beautiful work.
Thank you very much for sharing with us! I loved watching your wip parade :)
Love your videos and seeing your finish and progress and frankly my dear I dont give a damn how long! Have a great week thanks
Wow! I watched this all in one segment. Great. Thanks for more enabling, Carol. Lots of wonderful stichy goodness! One thin, you'll never be bored! Have a great weekend!
I loved watching your video! You have wonderful projects...
Carol I love you!! You inspire me to do more and become an night owl!!! You are so fun. Thanks!!
A great video! I love seeing all the stitchy goodness!! ❤️❤️❤️
Haha. Yes I’ve seen the npi thread card. I’m going to look into it again. Great idea. Thanks!!!
So enjoyed seeing all your beautiful wips. Looking forward to seeing all your progress this year (did watch in about 3 sections. Lol )
Enjoyed the WIP parade. You will be one busy lady!
Enjoyed your FlossTube and made a list of all the WIPS that you inspired me!!!
I just love you Carol! I learn so much ever time I watch your Flosstube. For me, this is a year for Blackbird!
I understand the wall space, im a quilter and my husband says we have the warmest walls in NH.🤣
So many beautiful Samplers!! You really get a lot of stitching done! 💕
Oh no, this was a one sitting viewing with a nice warm cup of tea and pen and paper!!! It's so nice to watch your WIPS parade. Inspiration, Inspiration , Inspiration!!! Happy New Year and can't wait to see your 2021 stitchings.
My goodness Carol your work is exquisite! Thank you for sharing your finishes and wips
Love a wip parade! Yours was wonderful. I love seeing all your big samplers. I did 61 pieces in 2020. Lots of smalls. Samplers but you know my rule 150 by 150. I am so thrilled to be on your hubby waiting list. Happy stitching!
Love you Darleen!
