Outstanding Star Wars collection 👏😎 Came here on a recommendation from TK421 and was not disappointed 🎉 Those later era Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars figures were made in collaboration with Hot Toys, so they really are mostly hidden gems 💎 I've managed to collect quite a few of those Sideshow Imperial Stormtroopers from the "Militaries of Star Wars" line and they are great army builders 😎👍 Cheers 🍻

Yeah, I totally agree, I didn't know they were in collaboration with hot toys at that point, interesting to know. Yeah they have some great figures, I worry with the troopers buying them used and being old because I've even so many that's legs have gone really loose, have you had any issues with that?

That's great! I was hoping that someone would watch this and see something from sideshow that they didn't know existed and would love for their collection. There are lots of figures from sideshow that aren't up to today's standards but there is also some that I think are definitely worth having. Glad I could show you something new and interesting. Fantastic video mate! Loved the custom Hoth Han! Absolutely amazing diorama shelves in the detolfs for the Forest Moon of Endor and ESB Dagobah, they look superb! And that 4-LOM!!! Wow! Your video really makes me want to get the Sideshow Bounty Hunters, especially Greedo and Bossk (I say “Boba Fett” both ways interchangeably too btw)! Loved the posing throughout the collection tour, it’s spot on. And massive thanks for the multiple mentions my friend!!

Thanks dude, I'm humbled that you managed to stick with so much of the video, it's a bit long haha. I thought you might be tempted by some of the Sideshow figures, it's a shame so many people just see the junky old human figures and don't even find out about some of the really good ones.
The dioramas are something I really enjoyed making, I actually just got the sideshow hoth han last night. We had trade credit and it's been looking at me for ages tempting me. I was surprised how good the head sculpt is, it's the only one sideshow made of a human that I actually like.
So what's your favorite sideshow figure, you don't have from my collection? 4-lom? That is a cracking figure, it still impresses me.

@@TALON80s you're right its a shame, when I first starting collecting 1/6 scale the general reputation of Sideshow figures seemed to be quite poor which definitely influenced my thinking. But then I got the Tie Fighter pilot at AT-AT Driver and it was instantly clear that the Sideshow critics don't know what they're talking about! I think my fave Sideshow figure from your collection aligns with your fave... and that has to be Greedo, closely followed by Bossk. They look exceptional. 4-LOM is amazing also!

Working on updating my collection and displays right now. Glad to see someone else who has a mix of all types of 1/6 scale figures (Hot Toys to Hasbro). Just bought the hasbro battle droids and super battle droids and about to repaint all of them...yours look fantastic. Can't wait to see more.

I'm very impressed by your scout trooper display. Having both troopers flanking that helmet looks superb. A real eye catcher.
I think you're right when you say the detail on Darth Maul is amazing. Until you zoomed in on his head I'd never noticed that his horns have ridges in them, as well as the graded paint work. You got the little droid's name correct too, it is a "Sith probe droid" to go with his "Sith Speeder".
I also agree with you that Lando is an underrated figure. The tailoring is good on him and, as you say, the detail on his gun is remarkable.
Your custom Hoth Han is something special indeed. You've done really well assembling him.
Oh wow, you have a Tarkin. I am so jealous. What an outstanding figure. A definite contender for the best head sculpt that Hot Toys have ever done.

24:54 Once again I have to agree completely with you: Old Ben is another one of Hot Toys best head sculpts. He's the current figure I am searching for, to complete my four main heroes (ANH Han, Hoth Leia, Snowspeeder Luke) Old Ben has incredible shelf presence and graces any collection he's in.
A couple of times you say that you only got a figure because you traded a bunch of things, as there is no way you'd pay the price. Can you explain what you mean by traded things? You swapped other figures with collectors to get them, maybe?
I think a lot of Sideshow figures are underrated. While they may not be quite the quality of a Hot Toys, they are nonetheless great to look at, and if HT aren't going to make the character then I'm glad sideshow gave us them. The AT-AT driver is one my list of figures I am longing to get, he's so good.
Thank you for the compliments and for watching. I agree Tarkin and Old Ben are two of the best Hot Toys star wars head sculpts I've seen so far. I did a TH-cam short with both of them side by side.
To answer your question in relation to trading. We sometimes visit a store here called "Toy Traders" I did a video on their Hot Toys display on my channel. At the store you can trade collectibles in for store credit. We've bought a fair few figures using store credit from trading in other collectibles.
@@TALON80s Toy Traders sounds like a good thing to have as an option, if it allows you to get the rarer, or more pricey, figures. Don't think we have anything like that here in England.
@@MindFiend Yeah it's pretty cool to have that resource, we wouldn't have gotten a lot of figures if we didn't have it.

The Cad Bane, Greedo, Bossk and 4-LOM are really nice figures. An overall a nice collection.

Fantastic collection, yes I said it. And Boba can be pronounced however. I always enjoyed the Greedo character, the design, especially the colors, really holds the 70s 80s Star Wars aesthetics.

I have almost the identical Hoth Han Solo custom. I have the same custom head on a custom body wearing all the kenner Hasbro Han on Tauntaun clothing except the gloves because they are painted on the hasbro figure. I also did the same thing you did with the Mando stormtrooper. I removed the paultron and used the original blaster for my Empire strikes back display. Nice display. Looks very clean and bright.

@TALON80s yes I have a luke with the fake hot toys tatooine luke head on a custom body wearing all the kenner hasbro figures clothing. I think it works quite well. I've also got a new hope han custom lol smirking custom head on new figure body wearing hasbro trousers, waist coat and gun belt with side show shirt and german soldier long boots. I think it looks pretty good. I also have kenner speeder bikes which don't look much different to the hot toys ones. I also think they have better stands.

@TALON80s I will one day I guess. My star wars hot toys is limited yo empire strikes back main cast due to space. At the moment I have bespin luke, bobafett, attack of the clones r2 which works very well as an empire r2, Lando and two stormtroopers. I'm waiting for 3pO , Vader and then bespin Han ,chewie and bespin escape leia. Then I will stop there. I also collect a few marvel, threezero etc whatever I'm drawn to

Took a lot of hours to watch the whole thing in between doing trades and pricing, but a great tour video! Definitely looking forward to seeing what else comes out of this channel!

Then if you decide to buy it, I would really make sure the one you buy is not broken or loose in any way. The most important thing when collecting I think, is to ask yourself, if you could have any figure in the world, is this the one you would pick over all the others? because what ever is your number 1 pick should be your next figure if it's affordable.

I used a little weathering powder to dirty up my BikerScout's undersuit. It looked a bit too pristine compared to the scuffed up armour pieces.
My only gripe is that they should have made the handle-bars metal, since they can not support any of the figure's weight at all.
Apart from him, I have Snowspeeder Luke, ROTJ Boba Fett, Jynn Erso, Ahsoka, Rex, and a 501st Clone.
I had the Force Awakens MegaBlaster Trooper and TIE Pilot, but sold them after the movies came out and I decided I didn't like the sequels.
I also have several MCU figures, 4 Resident Evil, Neo, Alita, Jake Sully, Ripley, '86 Xenomorph, Robocop, ED209, Dark Knight, Selina Kyle, Batpod, Harley Quinn, Spider-Gwen, Briareos, StormShadow and Snakeyes.
But I think I'm done now. Unless they do 40th Anniversary Aliens figures.
Your Luke and Leia figures look great in those dios. The lighting really helps.
The ANH Han is good, but I was always bugged by his hair. Its too dark.
When you rewatch the films, his hair is a medium brown, but it appears darker in a lot of photos.
The headsculpt of that figure just needs some highlights to bring out that brown colour.

I preordered K2S0 to go with her, but the Ebay seller in China didn't end up getting that figure. He didn't bother informing me, so by the time I contacted him and found out, the figure was sold out and double the price on the secondary market. And he didn't refund my deposit either!
I learnt my lesson. Never take an offer from a seller who offers a discount if you put down a deposit outside of the Ebay system, since there's no way to get your money back.
(I thought I could trust him because I'd bought several of my Hot Toys from him.)
And I had Neo on order from him too. When I contacted him to send me mine, he didn't respond. (He might have blocked me.) So I put out a call to my Twitter followers to pester him, and it worked! I got my Neo, and he lost a customer forever.
I stopped using Ebay because I kept getting ripped off by Chinese sellers. Mainland Chinese are the worst. But Hong Kong sellers are much better. (Japanese are the best. They're polite, professional, and often include a candy, origami, or hand-written letter.
One guy even sent me a bonus DVD full of his favourite art.)
I bought all of my recent HotToys from Sideshow. The prices are fine, and you can pay by installment.
And you know they won't rip you off.

Awesome, I like the fact that you're passionate about your collection from sideshows to hasbro to hot toys, I've watched a few collector videos where they either slag off sideshow throughout the whole clip of just criticize anything that isn't hot toys. Pathetic.
I collect what I like for my own personal tastes, I modify or customize my figures following some great tutorials on sites like sideshowcollectors, customonesixth and onesixthsociety. I think it doesn't matter what version you have on display as long as you're happy with it.

I completely agree, at the end of the day it's your collection, it's there for you, collect what makes you happy and display it the way that makes you happy.
I don't really have any negative thoughts toward certain companies, each of them put out good and bad products. I try to pick the best ones from each company that I like and feel fits well with my collection. Not everyone is like that I guess 🤷
