@@Bojjitsu I can definitely see why this is a GRAIL, it was for me too, I was really impressed when I got it. Hmm... that's a really valid concern. I can't tell you if it will age well because I don't know but if it helps, the material is not like the hot toys marvel stuff, it feels way less wrinkly and a bit stretchy. For me, I would also worry about the jacket degrading. Unfortunately no one will know if these things degrade until years in the future.

Thanks dude, I think Hot toys are very much a business and honestly they probably see this as a niche product. It's never going to sell as much as figures from Mando just after everyone's watched a series or a main character from a movie on it's 40th anniversary, so I don't think it's a profitable move on their part. When these figures came out there were only 6 star wars movies and no live action TV series and the fans were all still really into the original trilogy, the landscape has changed. I think it's more likely that a passionate independent company will do unlicensed versions and Hot toys will not get around to it. Thanks for watching dude, always appreciated

@@TK421Collectibles I definitely think they will keep upgrading, I know of 5 figures they are most likely upgrading soon and they just upgraded Thorin which is mad because the first version is spot on! It was not easy to get the whole fellowship but one thing I'm super proud of was getting them all with fellowship cloaks. Thanks dude, glad you like it, there's only one or two videos showing people's full fellowship and none of them have the same versions and none have all fellowship cloaks. @@TK421Collectibles I'm actually going to sell the one on the left, limited space so it makes sense to sell that one. Yeah, there's just something that really pops with the cartoon version for me, the more vibrant and colourful, the more I'm drawn to it. Yes apparently you use 2 clips to put the card ok the front of the base but like you, I don't think it looks right, it covers up so much so I just don't display mine. I totally agree, for me, all the TNG ones are really good, some of the Voyager and Enterprise sculpts, not so much. I do wonder if they have different artists assigned to different series. Thanks for watching dude, much appreciated 👍

@@ode2toy619 thanks dude, for the compliment 😃 I would be curious to know if you prefer the second version they did? In My opinion this one has a lot more facial detail than the second version but the sculpts are totally different! So maybe you would see the likeness in that one. It's strange because people complained about the sculpt of this, so they made the second one as a response, however the second one lacks a lot of the fine details of this sculpt. It's really crazy when it comes to the likeness, people complained about it so they made a second one that looks nothing like this and looks way less like Sam with less detail. That's a good question, well first thing is that they are a lot bigger than Yoda, though I can understand why you may think they aren't. Price point wise, it was something I was worried about, until I got them, in my opinion, after owning 6 Hobbits, 2 dwarfs, gollum and smegal. I would have to say, you pay for a great 1/6 scale product of a character you love and its totally worth it. The same question could be asked about R2-D2 but we've both bought multiple of him and loved them. And thanks dude, glad you like the video 👍🏻

Yeah, I would agree, they definitely give me vibes from when I was a kid. Sometimes they do cartoon versions, I got the cartoon trap jaw that I haven't showed on the channel yet but he's one of my favorites so look out for that at some point. Thanks, let me know what you think of the in art Aragorn, did you get the routed hair version? Hmm well I can honestly say I don't know how I got it into that position, I just fiddled around with it and didn't have any issues. The back drops are a mix of fake plants from Dollorama and display rocks/ trees and plants from a store called Pet Smart. Some are for fish tanks, some are for things like reptile tanks. Hi, Well I can tell you what I know, there are a few figures that don't hold up well but generally all the newer ones I've never had any issues with. The ones that have issues are mainly with arm joints becoming loose holding big metal weapons and fake leather crumbling. Those problem figures are (Gothmog, Guritz and the Morgal lord). Of the figures I own, I've only ever had problems with Gothmog, the fake leather had crumbled before I bought it and one arm is loose when holding the heavy weapon. One thing to watch out for though, on the Hobbits, the older ones have very small buttons that are glued on and easily get knocked off. It seems the newer ones are sewed on. Hope that helps.

@@moldovanuiulian405 you've definitely picked some of the cool ones. Here's my opinion on those ones, Gandalf the grey, the newest version is really nice but be aware that although the new one has an excellent head sculpt, it comes with a sculpted hat, not the cloth hat that I use, from the older version so watch a video that shows the sculpted hat to see if you like it. Eomir is an excellent figure! Two things may bother you though, the head is slightly above the neck leaving a small gap but once you futs it, you can't really see it because of the hair and stuff. The other thing may be a deal breaker, without the helmet, the hairline looks fake, take a look at an unboxing to see that. Faramir is really excellent but be aware the hair is sculpted and the boots aren't split cut. The Thorin is just excellent but be aware the dwarf sword is plastic and the elven sword is metal. Hmm... I see your point about legolas, it's not a perfect sculpt, in my opinion, the main issue is his face is too full and a bit rounded but otherwise the figure is really good. Ultimately it's totally up to you what you want to buy and if you like them once you bought them but it might be worth buying one at first to see how you feel about their products. 1/6 is not a cheap hobby so it's worth having a good think about it.
