All major companies are still mass producing modern .380 firearms and modern ammo. It's far from its way out. Thanks to Rugers LCPmax and Sig's P365-380 it's in more than ever. .380 and 9mm ammo prices have just about equalized. That says it all.

A bicycle or car tire Schrader valve remover works flawlessly in place of the take-down key Walther supplies you within the package.
Another option is HVAC supply houses selling parts to A/C companies who go to people's homes and repair their A/C and Heating units. Each and every supply house usually gives out free little reversible "front pocket sized" screwdrivers and on the one end is a Schrader valve remover/tightener. Just a free hack some might find useful as I have.
Thanks for the review and God bless bro.

A few things I'd point out. Galloway precision sells a captive spring guid rod. Even with the light spring, there is very little recoil. I know everyone seems to say how much they hate the takedown. This for me was a great feature. It makes it super easy when you can only use one hand. Same thing for how easy it is to rack. The other wonderful thing is when you knock home a magazine that is loaded the slide will release itself. Again great when you only have one hand. I get it may not be the best for everyone, but it sure fills a need for some of us. Oh, if you loose the tool just buy a schrader valve tool. Not a big deal even sell ones that go on your keychain.

Just an FYI...there is a recall for a failure to be safe on certain serial numbed, PK380s they are supposed to pay the shipping and check the operation of the pistol free of charge..after It has been checked a stamped "Z" can be found under the slide when the mag locks It open.👍

A few things I'd like to clear up.
First, there is a trick to get the guide rod back into it's place, it only takes me 10 seconds, but if you find it that difficult, you can actually purchase a after market guide rod that has the spring retained, and it's cheap.
Second, the notion that the .380 is going out of style or not being effective, that is false, there are numerous types of ammo that is more than effective.
As a Emergency Physician know all to well what a .380 is capable of doing to a person, you really don't want to get shot by one, this PK380 has a longer barrel than most .380 and has about a 100 fps more muzzle velocity.
Many people like this PK380 because it's stupidly easy to rack and shoot for people that are recoil sensitive or might have a hard time racking a 9mm.
Third, while it might rattle a bit when not under load, it has no effect on it's performance, it's a very accurate gun, I have over 2000 rounds through it and functions without issues.
My wife loves it because she doesn't like my CZ75 because of it's recoil and size.
Absolutely love the paddle magazine release, it's quick and you can use your index finger or thumb from either side.

Just because something is phasing out doesn't mean it's ineffective, look at 357sig or 40sw
I love 380 but it's become more scarce and more expensive

    • @Diemerstein
      @Diemerstein ปีที่แล้ว

@@BOB-wx3fq Sure the .380 is a bit more expensive, but not crazy more expensive, we are talking about $3 to $5 for 50 rounds of range ammo over 9mm.
As for more scarce, hardly, I find stacks of it at all the stores I go to, just purchased 10 boxes last week at $24.00 per box.

@@Diemerstein It went up to 49.99/50 during the pandemic and stayed that way, I've only seen it come down slightly
Regardless, it truly has been dying, if it wasn't for the ultra compact pocket 380s that got really popular a few years ago I think it would be as scarce as 32auto
And again I'll reiterate that I love 380 my favorite pistol is a cheetah chambered in it but I call a spade a spade
