Moreover, Albert Watkins, the attorney for Jacob Chansley (perhaps better known as "QAnon Shaman"), spoke on the record with Talking Points Memo about his client's alleged role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
In the interview, published by TPM on Tuesday, Watkins used shockingly offensive language in an attempt to defend Chansley's alleged actions, saying Chansley has Asperger's syndrome, and asserting that other participants in the riot have intellectual disabilities that were to blame. "These are people with brain damage," he said.

When I'm a tourist I usually don't break into buildings.
When I'm an "insurrectionist" I'm typically not led into the building by police peacefully protesting and talking with them while in no way making an attempt to overthrow the government.

Almost all of them were waved in by police. There were a few people that broke a window. During which there is film of Trump supporters accused them of being antifa, pointing them out to police who did nothing and allowed it to happen. Now BLM killed nearly 50 people over 9 months during the George Floyd riots alone, I suppose you don't condemn that? People toppling statues, bombing courthouses, taking over parts of cities, murdering, looting, burning, THAT is Domestic Terrorism.

If only they were following the amendment process. The process is too difficult because it requires persuasion so instead they just redefine the words in the existing Constitution and call it "a living Constitution interpretation"; aka a cop out to justify illegally amending the Constitution without following the process.
I met some Oath Keepers at my American Legion Post about 10 yrs ago. The person in charge was a smooth-talking operator. I'm a law grad & he liked me alot because I successfully completed all my Constitutional Law studies. Needless to say, I avoided going there for several months and the post became defunct a few yrs later.
Needless to say, cause yeah it would be preposterous for someone to support a patriot.

Any soldier worth his salt knows that. Any decent Veteran WOULD want to be prepared because he would know the horrors of war and how fast a country's stability can crumble. A good vet WOULD be prepared to defend his family for exactly that reason. Being prepared and having the tools and skills to protect your family and nation doesnt mean you're "playing soldier." It means you're exercising your rights within the parameters of the law and constitutional rights to protect what you hold most dear. You're what is wrong with men today.

When you join the military, your oath expires the same time your enlistment contract expires. If you reenlist, you must take the oath again. While serving in the military, you may be required on occasion to reaffirm your oath. In the wake of current and former military personnel being criminally charged in connection with the events of January 6, all US Navy personnel, both uniformed and civilian, were issued an April 6th deadline to reaffirm their oath and participate in group discussions about what actions would betray their oath.

Life here in the US has gotten so comfortable that certain people have the urge for violence and disruption.
Well, life is not comfortable for many- there is no universal health system, and many people would prefer a return to slavery- like Jeff Bezos with his Amazon workers. All that some people have left is that they think America is the best country on earth, and they have the guns to prove it.
There are some countries that get invaded every 20 years. I feel like america never experienced it, so we love war. Plus. America never lost more than 600,000 people in a war. Most countries loose over 1,000,000 in big wars. America is the lucky kid that doesnt realize he is lucky.
