    I love my S&W M&P M2.0 3.6 sub compact! This gun isn’t praised enough. Great size, great on recoil, easy to conceal and extremely versatile. You can carry standard OEM 10, 13, 15 or 17 rd magazines. (Even extended 32 or 40rd mags). Grip module can be short for concealment or add a sleeve for a full size grip. AWESOME FIREARM!

    If you guys are considering the Shield Plus, I highly recommend spending the extra $50 for the optics ready model. Even if you don't care about optics, it comes with night sights. The only con I can think of is if you prefer a different color night sight or have an extra M&P Shield night sight/fiber optic sight (which is still a hassle to put on compared to Glocks). Might as well future proof your Shield Plus and make it more effective

    • @chrisporter7534
      @chrisporter7534 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Just buy Streamlight TLR6 laser / flashlight combo for your shield plus and then you do not NEED night sights! Streamlight cost the same price as night sights and you do not have to paid extra $$ for gun smith or buy equipment to install the night sights.

    • @bxcongero1
      @bxcongero1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@chrisporter7534, I just put tritium sights on all my guns, still don't personally see a point in carrying an EDC or duty Pistol with an optic, between snow, rain, dirt, mud, blood, or anything that can block your sight picture in a self-defense situation deters me from putting them on any of my EDCs and is something I teach new shooters, private security, and PD when instructing them. They are fine for targeting and competitive shooting, but the Shield Plus is for shooting 0 to 10 yards. That's my humble opinion on optics for self-defense or duty pistols.

    • @abc4781
      @abc4781 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SigCan M&P 2.0 I definitely disagree respectfully, if you equip your gun with a mrds that has a closed emitter, none of those factors are issues, except fog on the outside of the lenses wich can be prevented, and maybe mud in wich you can wipe clean.

    To me, the M&P .380 EZ is a terrific combo size for carry and shootabilty. I just wish they’d come out with a double stack “pro model” and that would jump into the rotation with my P365XL. I’m getting old enough that the lack of recoil in the EZ would/could be very helpful to me very soon. I have one but that “10+1” sounds much better to me than “8+1”. And it would be an excuse to buy a new gun. 😉

Within the last two weeks picked up the ruger lcp max, it feels half the weight of the other two pocket guns and 11 to 13 rounds of .380 is not too bad.

    Thank you for this video. In my opinion, these are important considerations for conceal carry. The first one is getting a. Pistol that the shooter is comfortable shooting and easy for them to control. Clothing that allows for true concealment, which means as close to zero printing as possible. Availability of the correct holster. I also strongly recommend that a new shooter find a gun store that has a range so that you can shoot the guns first before buying.

    I personally carry my M2.0 4" IWB but then again I'm 220 lbs 5'10" regularly, I also carry the 2.0 Shield and now the Shield Plus, which thankfully both fit in the same holster. I also have in my rotation Sig P365 and M17, CZ P10F, and any number of 1911s I own from full size to commander size. All of these guns I carry IWB, comfortably and sometimes when I carry the larger models I will also carry left handed IWB holsters for my Shields and P365 behind by back as backups, and since I live in Northeast Ohio, I wear a heavy Northface most days, none of my opinions print. That's my personal thoughts, and even in the summer on days when I just don't care I carry those larger higher capacity guns and I usually wear any of my baseball jerseys, again the don't print or if they do it's still hardly noticeable and I carry on my hip. I won't carry appendix, one I gave a gut, and two, even after all these years I've carried, next year will make 30 years, I'm afraid of shooting myself in the legs or my crouch, and believe I have excellent trigger control, but no thank you, lol. In my humble opinion if you are carrying a striker-fire handgun and you want to carry appendix, that's the only time you should have a safety on one. Thanks for your opinions on M&Ps since that's what I happen to carry most.
    Oh and BTW I was able to purchase 15 thirteen round mags over the 4+ months I've owned the Shield Plus, that's for range time, lol but I do carry 3 thirteen rounders at all times, the ten rounder that came with the gun is in the safe, I don't see a point in carrying it, and I still say 40 rounds isn't enough, lol.

    A nice one to add to the list would be the Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 Optics Ready Spec Series 9mm 4.6" with 23+1/15+1. It's basically a Glock 19 by S&W, but supressor ready and with the nice upgrades that the 10mm has, like full serations on the front and a flatter trigger than the standard 9mm M2.0.

    When I went shopping for my first Concealed Carry (CC) firearm, I looked at several to get a feel for the grip, trigger break and other features as my hands are not large but they are thick and meaty. Do your research and compile a list of quality firearms before you go shopping. My list consisted of 17 to choose from and even though the store that I went to did not have every one of them on my list, I still had a wide variety to look at.
    Don't buy a SIG, Glock, Walther or Hellcat because John or Jane said so. _Find one that fits you as you will be the primary user of your next firearm._ After you have narrowed down your search from your list to just a few, only then can you choose by price, if that's what you wish, as you know that you will also have a quality firearm that fits your hands.
    I eventually decided upon the optics ready S&W Performance Center M&P9 Shield Plus with a 4" barrel for CC and I also purchased 2 more 13 round mags for when I'm at the range. I have not yet been to the range but I will soon enough. My only current problem is the ability to find a decent IWB holster that comfortably fits my fatness. 🤣

I’ve been contemplating going one up to the compact for the better ballistics and capacity albeit at the cost of being .5 inch bigger. I don’t entertain the shields because they are too snappy, I don’t mind the weight of the 2.0s.

    S&W M&P9 Compact 3.6" barrel that is optic ready with flat face trigger will be the best carry gun. 15+1 capacity. Micro guns are overrated right now. Do shot times with a Micro versus a Glock 19 or M&P Compact and the shootability of the bigger frame leaves the micros in the dust. The M&P9 3.6 is like a Glock 26 slide on a Glock 19 sized frame. Easy to conceal and shoots like a duty sized pistol.

      Most people don't realize how the 1.0 in a pro series or performance center has an awesome trigger and very close to the 2.0 trigger.The regular 1.0 had a bad trigger however the pro series and performance center 1.0 guns will perform.

    M&P 2.0 4in 10mm.....Best Conceal Carry ever.... Capacity, Caliber. Only con. A little to big for Warm weather, tshirt, shorts setup. For that I rock my Canik TP9 Elite SC 9mm. And LCP .380 as backup.

    The story I’m telling myself is that the 9mm m&p m2.0 subcompact still makes sense. Can use 12 round mag, 15 round mag, and 17 round mag. Perfect truck pistol. Heavy enough that recoil isn’t an issue and can get off follow up shots fast.

    I'm interested in both the Shield Plus and the Subcompact, but I'm not sure which one has the easier slide (the Shield Plus was difficult, but not impossible). I'm interested in the Equalizer as well, but I'm trying to keep my options open in case that one doesn't work out for me next time I try it, since I wasn't very accurate with it the first time (whereas I was much more accurate with the Plus). The 15+1 compact was easy enough to rack, though, but it looks a bit big for carry.

    I got an EZ Shield for my first gun. I enjoy it, but I'm having major failure to feed issues even after sending it back to S&W. Much as I love it when it's working properly, that's unacceptable for an EDC and unless I can find a solution I'll need to find something to replace it with.

    The interesting thing about 10mm is how tools and targets has shown how so much of the ammo is no better than .40 s&w. It’s great if they’re giving you what you pay for, but there’s a lot of weak ammo out there.

  • @Jedi391

    The only caliber you need is 9mm regardless if you’re in town or the woods. The only time 10mm would be an advantage would be if you’re in the areas of Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, and Montana where you’re possibly going to encounter a brown bear. If your dealing with mountain lions, black bear, or other animals, 9mm vs 10mm really doesn’t make a difference. A good 9mm round, which will be easier and faster to put on target will actually give you an advantage over 10mm.
