Pretty nice job I would have welded a support bracket on the back of the pipe wear they come together and you have to wrap it for shur but it’s a beautiful job and for your first time real nice and sounds great
How did you get the 1.75 pipe to fit the back pipe bracket and what did you weld for the start of the back bracket? I have a 2000 shadow and can’t figure out how to make the 1.75 pipe fit!
Great job on that. I want to get some bends so bad to make a custom exhaust for three of my bikes. I have 2 1984 Yamaha virago xv700 and a 1982 Yamaha maxim xj750. Can really have fun with the maxim cause it’s a 4 cylinder. I just subscribed to your channel you do some good work. If you want you can see my slow builds on mine. I’d love your advice especially on exhaust

con el escape corto hay que ajustar el tornillo de mezcla de aire y combustible. si no los ajusta, la motocicleta se volverá contraproducente y funcionará mal
I've got a VT500 with short straight pipes. The engine dies at high speed "inconsistantly". When I release the throttle, it comes back. I was told the carbs need to be re-jetted. Are you having any problems like that??
I did not have have any problem like that. I did not rejet my carbs because I kept the stock air filter but I did adjust the vacuum screws on both carbs
Air mixture screw adjust fuel-air mixture only on idle. When you hit the gas fuel-air mixture is adjustet by rejetting. You should rejet always when you change intake or exhaust. Atleast check spark plugs, they shouldn't be white that means bike is running lean.
Not all heroes wear capes 😭 that Amazon link you gave to one of the people who commented, was the same exact one you have? I don't have an eBay account as you mentioned you got it from

I like it...Vlx 600s continue to impress me. For the investment and things you can do. I like they way they ride...Great job with the fab..TY
Removing the exhaust constantly.
That’s a man’s bike right there, looks amazing
Sounds good with straight pipes!
Great job !!!! I have a 03 shadow 1100 I want to change out the pipes on.
Awesome job!!!
Thank you!

Very Nice
Vlx 600 shadow extremely fun bike to ride
I agree, its also a great learner bike to ride!
They probably have different sizes because one is a different length than the other. Thus an attempt to keep backpressure the same.

The exhaust looks great,, What did you use for flanges? The stock ones you said.
I used the flanges from the old exhaust
Yeah I went back and seen that. Sorry. Lol. You said you just adjusted the air fuel mix and it ran better? I have a 95 with the dual carb also
Yes, adjusting the air fuel mix greatly improved driveability and reduced the popping
Did you rejet your pilot and main jet? Or just tune your air fuel mixture screw?
I only tuned the air fuel mixture screw

Yeah you definitely need to rejet after running and open unrestricted exhaust
I did not have have any problem like that. I did not rejet my carbs because I kept the stock air filter but I did adjust the vacuum screws on both carbs
Did you have to do any re-jetting afterwards? Just curious. I need to get one of those welders... I only have a regular stick welder.
I did not rejet afterwards. All I did was adjust air mixture screw

@@villekauppinen5598 ^ the only guy I've seen that gets it
Literally been looking for someone who has done this and you’re the first. Mind linking the pipe kit?
www.amazon.com/Assorted-Steel-Header-Tubing-Mandrel/dp/B075NMPV3V
This is the kit I bought, it was enough for 2 bikes
@@fabforfun8302 awesome bro thanks for the reply. 👌 gonna follow, hope you post more on the bike builds.
I got a harley 2 into 1 and modified it using the honda mounts. I think it was also 100 but I've never seen a shadow with it so I'd say I'm the first
Thanks for the kit link! Just want to do a 2 into 1 with a large outlet. Plan on having it chromed also!
How did this exhaust mod effect on the torq? They say that if you do a short pipes it will dramatically drop down torq.
I didn’t notice it to much but if you do experience it greatly, you can rejet to gain it back
I put a tractor exhaust rain cap. The door opens under exhaust pressure.
Not all heroes wear capes 😭 that Amazon link you gave to one of the people who commented, was the same exact one you have? I don't have an eBay account as you mentioned you got it from
Yes I ordered through Amazon and it was the same link. The kit comes with a bunch of random bends so you just have to be creative!
Nice job. What's the Amazon link to the pipes? I'm thinking of making a custom set for my bike.

@@fabforfun8302 thanks brother 🤙
@@missioncapable4658 yup no problem! The kit ended up having enough pipes to build two sets of exhausts
Did you loose any torque or power doing this ?
what jets did u go with on the dual carb setup
It’s a 98 so it came with a dual carb setup. I have the factory jets in them, but I’m not sure the size
I don't care what anybody says. In my opinion the Shadow 600 VLX is the best sound HONDA bike period.
Yeah I was very surprised by this as well. Its true.
How are you going to remove the oil cap? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought the same, then i saw this comment 😂
How you gonna check your oil? Just curious.
I’m still able to unscrew the cap, the pipes are in front of it just enough

Are those short exhaust increase heat to those engines or not?...
I did not have any issues of increase of heat
@@fabforfun8302 o ok,....thanks bro
oy we popping bubbles ey bruv?
It sounds sort of like 'glub, glub, glub' like if it was underwater
What pipe diameter is that and wallthickness? Thanks in advance.
I believe it is 1 3/4 inch and i'm not entirely sure on the thickness.

Did you rejet the carbs?
No I did not
@@fabforfun8302 But it runs good though, nice.
I think it needs rejetted, pipes are bluing
Yes it ran super rough after I did the exhaust, but once I adjusted the air fuel mixture, it ran great. The bluing has also mostly went away

If you scroll down a bit, I sent the link to one of the guys asking for it!
