Hi Lisa. Welcome to my channel! The yarn recommends 5.00mm crochet hook, but I used 7.00mm hook for this scarf. I live in Japan, they don't label the yarn like you guys in the State,England or Canada for example. They will say thin, medium thick or bulky yarn. But this stitch looks very nice with a thick yarn in which they will recommend a 5.00mm or 6.00mm crochet hook. Happy Crochet!
