Since I was in high school I’ve followed SSC so very closely. I almost feel a blood relative tie to this car. I absolutely loved the Ultimate aero TT. And now finally this car has arrived
Even after 10 years this is still probably the most radical looking super design out there. It show how far ahead of his time Jason Castriota is. I wish the interior would have keep some of what they projected from the concept, but overall, still a far advanced design.
I remember I used to sit in class senior year of high school and re-draw the concept art from memory. I had every line and curve memorized, and seeing this thing come to fruition and look exactly like I dreamed it would is so damn satisfying.
I’ve seen tons of cars that are just a beauty , the Ferrari f-50 is a master piece in style. The best one is the jaguar xj220, another master piece to see, even thought it’s a 90’s error model, then there was the others that followed in looks not design but style , The previous ssc looked more like a kit car to be honest , and like a older Lamborghini, but yes by far this new ssc has to be a record on looks like to want to keep it in your bedroom on looks, yes there are a lot of master pieces made in today’s world, but Ferrari and Lamborghini has to pat the guys on the back for the design and style of this new monster and again the looks, ITS A MASTER PEACE OF A CAR!
@@albino3360 nah not as good as Ferraris flat planes. Just sounds like a Mclaren, pretty boring to me. Koenigseggs sound better than most flat planes out there
@Amarjit Singh Dhesi We were talking about flat plane crank V8s so I'm not sure what a V12 has to do with this. Though personally I think a 12V71 is the best sounding V12 out there, and one of the greatest sounding engines ever made
Yes, pretty crappy sounding. It does NOT sound like a flat plane crank V8. A flat plane crank V8 should rev way faster and crisper than that. It really doesn't sound like anything special at all. Yeah, I could believe a Ford ecoboost, but I don't hear any turbo whine. Actually it sounds a lot like a generic garden variety Ford 5.0 V8 like this: th-cam.com/video/xpdXRAJcWds/w-d-xo.html
@@robertmiller6444 if you don't believe me you can check out one of their engine dyno vehicles on their TH-cam channel: th-cam.com/video/QiemaplwuuU/w-d-xo.html A high displacement flat plane V8 will rev slower because of a longer stroke and in this case, pushrods (they seem to be using a modified LSX engine for the Tuatara). These things would make it sound closer to a 4 cylinder with a cold start.
Very glad to see SSC still in full swing! The Ultimate Aero was Fuckin Killer But, the Tuatara is on another level of BADASSNESS !! Are you guy's trying to sneak up on the Hennessey F5 lol ?! I hope so! Let the Mega Car wars begin!!
So when are we gonna get to see its actual performance? Another 10 years from now? Too late already since you have extremely strong competition like the LaFerrari and the new refined Agera R which broke the record set by the Hennessey Venom, which came out ALLOT SOONER than this car considering its American and highly exclusive as well So whats the hold up?????
Thats not even competition, there is now the Regera and the incoming Agera successor, the Aston Martin Valkyre, The Mercedes Amg One, The Hennesey Venom F5, just to mention someones
That was the RS, not the R. The Laferrari was not meant to be a top speed car, it was meant as a street legal F1 car. I do agree with you on the last part, though. We've been waiting on this thing for so long, and it still hasn't even been on the road.

@@mesarosshawn2422 Yea. Turbos do love exchanging sound for more power but holy crap they deliver the power. They have always known how to make a car look fast and live up to it.
It's called a flat plane crank. They don't emit the throaty rumble of traditional v8's, which utilize a cross plane design for balance purposes. Flat plane engines are lighter and rev much quicker, and their firing order is different...hence the tone of the motor.
