yeah, this is probobly the worst turning bomber I've seen, while this thing used to, and now back to, being a stupidly slow, but stupidly good water based flying bomber.
Can confirm the 238 is beafy, I've flown it at least 50 games and did maybe 20 ish times, only had the wings rip off two time from fires, never had the pilot get knocked out. And any time I did die 9/10 times I killed the person who took me down or took down multiple people (My aims not great but someone with good aim could use this plane like I dont know what) Tip for anyone trying to kill the 238, Aim for the tail it's the only good weak point that guarantees you kill it with a short burst from 20 mils, 50 cals will work but I've had p47s fail to kill me, Anything twin engine with cannons just aim for the tail as well also if you are using 37 mil+ you can shot anywhere and typically break something like the wing or entire tail section off. Also dont bother shooting it from below coming up at the belly, since it's a boat plane the belly is incredibly strong and bullets dont really make it through and when they do they dont do much. AND NEVER, NEVER APPROACH IT FROM THE FRONT OR HIGH THE DUAL 20 WITH HITLERS HEAT SEEKING MINESHELLS WILL TEAR YOU APART Anyway for anyone who read this long ass paragraph I hope it helps and good whale hunting 👌

Day 71ish: Hey Phly! You should do a public lobby with Phriends and Phans where each team has one VTOL plane, and the rest of the planes are reserve tier I planes. The objective would be to land the VTOL plane in a cap zone (you would use a tank map with a plane spawn-point), and successfully run down the tickets of the other team. Each team's tier 1 planes need to protect the VTOL at any cost. There should probably be a 30 second delay phor the VTOLs to take off because SPEED, but, do what ya want. Hope it’s PHUN!
I love the bv238. You guys should try bombing ground targets instead of bases it's so much more satisfying especially when you bomb an entire convoy and light up the kill feed

I know exactly how the friendly fire bomber kills happen and it’s a glitch in war thunder me and a couple of friends used to fly B-17 G series many times in a diamond formation and we figured out that you really cannot fly appropriately in a bomber formation unless you disable a I gunners because if I am at the 9 o’clock position of a diamond formation with four bombers and a fighter appears to the right of the 3 o’clock position then my guns will start firing before the targeting reticle is on the fighters. If their is a bomber in the way then those gunners will shoot right through a friendly bomber to hit an enemy target Add to the add to the ridiculous repair cost to the beach 29 and B-17 and nobody wants to formation fly bombers anymore
try doing the N.C. 222.2 u can use just two bombers and destroy the af. Use the other two squad members for escort. second recommendation. Use a squad of p-51s and escort randoms in b-17s
No, it was the power of *bomber LOOOOVE...* that saved you man. They just loved seeing the formation that much, the scenario made them want to enjoy it. No way you would've survived all those planes.
B-18b!!! Hey phly, love the vids; just wanted to suggest a video on the B-18b in the Swedish aviation tree. It netted me 26000 to in just a few games-boosters included- with it’s ability to destroy bases and then use the altitude to dive on fighters for a potential kill.
Did I mention how underrated it is. The bomb load and variability -underrated, the agility-deceptively high, Climb-rate is awesome, the offensive armament...well it is what it is
