Even without his 5 goals, Kulich has been Sabres best forward at the Prospects Challenge. He has seperated himself from Rosen & Helenius as the next call up. I hope Kulich makes the team out of camp, but I rather he play in Rochester than sit in the press box in Buffalo. Rosen played much better against Pittsburgh was probably the Sabres best player. As far as Europe goes, we can take a 30 player roster to Prague so Kulich is a certainty to go. Rosen & Helenius are probably on the Prague trip along with Johnson & Novikov on D from the Prospects Challenge, but only Johnson is a realistic option for playing time. I agree with your top 6, if it was not for the fact that Zach Benson exists. We have 8 genuine candidates for the top 6 along with Ryan McLeod to play 3C. That gives good competition gor ice time amongst the forwards.
I wouldn´t be surprised with Kulich being swiss knife type of player who can play both center and wing and killing penalties, while casualy scoring 30-40 goals 2 years from now, think of mix of Carter Verhaeghe and Ondrej Palat. I know Quinn, Pererka are great, but Kulich is absolute physical specimen. I think he makes 3rd line and as the season goes on he will make it really hard for coaches to not give him top6 spot. Defensively he looked SIGNIFICANTLY better in these few games, like wow i´ve seen him in few games 2nd year in Rochester as a floater who didn´t give a rats a*s about defense, he looks like different player. Agree with you that line Kulich-Cozens-Quinn looks sick on paper, on the other hand Benson playing with Kulich on the same line sound pretty good too.
Reason Krebs hasnt been resigned yet is Adams and Ruff want to see if Kulich or Rosen can make the team this season and right now theres an opening on the right wing on the 3rd line with Macleod & Benson . Either Kulich or Rosen would offer more speed and offence than either Greenway or Krebs. This would move Jordan Greenway to spare forward.
Konsta clearly still adjusting to the smaller ice. Several times you could just tell he thought he had space when he did not. Kulich needs to make the roster this year. I wonder if that’s why they are holding out on Krebs. They might just be expecting Juri to make the team
For a team that is basically still rebuilding and has a massive hole in its top 6 why not let him play with some somewhat talented players and see how he fairs. Who else is going to replace Skinner ? Zucker, Greeway? That would be embarrassing.
All signs point to Peterka, he broke out and scored 50 points as an exclusive middle 6er. He’s earned a promotion and plays a strong 200ft game with unbelievable speed. He’s gonna thrive in Lindy’s system, especially as a playmaker on Tage’s wing
Do you people that ask about a supposed "hole on the top 6" even watch hockey? Tuch, Thompson, Quinn Peterka, Cozens, Benson That's a VERY solid top 6. 30 goals from Tuch, Cozens, Quinn, and probably Peterka. Thompson can go for 50 if healthy and firing on all cylinders. Benson will only continue to improve. What else do you need? Why bring in a slow vet just to bury Peterka or Benson in the bottom 6?
@@chrismdb5686 Tuch is more of a 3rd liner on most teams. Great wheels and brick hands 2 years ago was a fluke last year was more what he really is. Benson isn’t a guy you can trust to play a full season on a top line either. Injuries will start catching up with Benson probably this season.
@@chrismdb5686 to respond to what you said: I have a feeling Benson may be a 3rd line wing and play the start of the season with McLeod and Kulich. Thats a fantastic defensive/transition line with a lot of offensive upside. Mayyybe they move Benson to the 2nd line just so Zucker can mentor Kulich as a rookie and McLeod who’s in an elevated role in Buffalo’s system..? But we’ll see come the start of the season! Don’t wanna rush Benson since he’s 1) still 19 and being developed, and 2) approaching a contract year lmao
@@vernonhowell4070I want to see what you think a normal NHL roster looks like if you think Tuch is a bottom 6 player in this league. In what world is Benson not going to become a top 6 forward? What injuries are nagging him? He was one of our best players last season as an 18 year old.
Joe did you just say everyone else can go when referring to the mural? Wtf are you smoking. This is typical of Gen Z. You leave the French Connection alone ESPECIALLY Gilbert Perrault. The original Sabre is not only an icon but without him hockey probably would not have flourished here in buffalo. Bert should be exalted at every turn and get your generation to understand and respect our history

This didn’t age well
Jiri scored 2 more goals in last prospect game
almost had the hatty multiple times, got robbed on one of the times.

Krebs just signed so this throws a wrench in there now
Krebs just resigned so thats gonna throw a wrench in there
I hope for a trade like Krebs Jokiharu and a first for Rasmus Anderson
Not sure why Kulich gets second line honors over Benson, who already made the team the year he was drafted. But I basically agree.
Why not ? When will be his / their time ?
