Incredibly sad, yet incredibly uplifting. I am a type 1 Diabetic as well. I consider myself very lucky to have survived a cardiac arrest all the way back when I was 18. His story makes me thankful every day for that gift!

I live on the other side of the world (Malaysia) and after watching this video, I have decided to be an organ donor. Taylor has inspired me to save move lives and he's a true hero. ❤️❤️❤️

My son lost his life long school friend at the tender age of 24 just 8 years ago now , suffering the same illness as your son and passing away the same way too , he was a big part of all our life’s and we miss him terribly. I am so inspired by this. But as Liver Transplant Survivor when I was 4 months old, and now almost 32, I hope everyone puts a donor sticker on their license. You will never know how much it means to the transplant survivor or their family, I pray for my donor who was a little baby boy, & always wish I could have met the family. God gained the most amazing angel on this earth 🌎, what a loving young man he was. You never get over the loss but in time it gets easier. I lost my sister 27 years ago bug to me it was like yesterday because her and I were extremely close so I know what it is to loose my sibling. Thats amazing. Organ donors are amazing! 🙏 My son is also a hero🥲 he was 16 and tragically passed away last week. He saved the lives of 5 people through organ donation. It is a bittersweet thing indeed. Im still very much grieving over my son its been less than 2 weeks since losing my boy. I'm very much interested in talking with the people he saved. Not sure when I'd be able to connect with them. But God Bless to all who have been through the loss of their child for they are with the Lord Jesus and there is no better place to be😓🙏

My brother received a double lung transplant four months ago that saved his life. I thank God every day for that organ donor. Bless you.

My husband is Type 1, I’ve had to call 911 3x, 3 years ago he went into DKA and had to stay a week in the hospital. This is my biggest fear with him. Your son/brother is a hero.

My dear, what a touching story! And what an amazing Family! I joined the List of "Registered Organ Donors" in several countries over my entire life, where I have lived and still live! And I believe in it! Who knows what will happen with me, or if any of my organs can even be of any use, at the time of my passing! But, even if it's some of my Skin for a Skin grafting surgery of a burned patient or perhaps a cornea gives someone back some vision again, I will be happy 😊! I wish many more people would join the lists of Organ Donor's worldwide! It's a hard thing for our family to think that our Organs will be taken out and we won't be 100% in our Coffins! But it's harder even to think of those people who are dying waiting for that life saving organ! God bless you 💓

I have been crying through the whole video, what a handsome young guy being loved by so many. I still don't understand how he got so sick, was it because he didn't eat for 24 hours? I'm sure his family will never be the same without him...it just makes you look at your own family and appreciate every second with them! Their story sure touched my heart.sending my condolences from germany.
Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes is tricky and hard to handle. Just a tiny touch of illness can throw them off. The fact that he didnt know what his sugar level was was a huge red flag.
@@crazydee1955 yeah, I get that he was probably stressed and busy, but man, diabetes isn't inherently life threatening if managed correctly, or sometimes you are just dealt a bad hand. Sounds like the latter

Taylor and I share a birthday and I know personally how many lives a donor can save because my husband got a kidney transplant 3 years ago and without it he probably wouldn't be here today. Thank you Taylor for the gift you have given to many families.

I’m surprised he didn’t have a glucose monitor which sends out an alarm if you are too high or low. Maybe it wasn’t working, or having one on at all wasn’t possible. They seem very level-headed so who knows.Sweet guy!
I was a transplant nurse for 15 years. This wonderful man saved lives, and those lives will touch others. He is the start of that chain. May God Bless his soul for eternity. Continue to serve Jesus, and you will see him in Heaven again. Taylor will be watching and waiting. Enjoy life as he would want you to do.

When I first got a state ID at 17 they asked me if I wanted to be an organ donor and I said yes right away, without even thinking about it.. I'm 31 now and I still feel the same way about it

I’ve recently learned about and watched ‘Honor Walks’ on TH-cam as I think we don’t have them in the United Kingdom. I hope that this inspiring American tradition does start to happen here. Taylor’s story is heartbreaking but at the same time, because of his wish to be an organ donor, one of profound generosity to others. His parents and siblings are also heroes in agreeing to this and giving Taylor over to the surgical team that would ensure his organs had the best chance of helping others in great need. Taylor’s family showed incredible courage and strength during what was clearly a distressing and harrowing time. His brother Brandon’s call for those present during the Honor Walk and the applause in return is so uplifting and brought tears of sadness and joy. Much respect, admiration and love to you as a family from the UK.

Is it not common to be an organ donor in the USA? I live in Europe where you’re automatically a donor unless you state that you don’t want to be one. Idk how it works in the USA though
