I dont realize whats everybodys problem with the audience..They stare cause this is the only thing you can do when it comes to performances like that..You just shut up and stare,that was too emotional to move your eyes from him..What do you want them to do,dance?Cheer?It would destroy the whole thing..The best thing to do is to respect that song by watching carefully and get lost to it quietly..Thats what Damien does to you with every song anyways

We are in the process of making a playlist for an event tomorrow night for our family because my medical license was suspended for treating covid patients across the country. We had to figure out what Damien Rice song we could put in so we picked "Coconut Skins" to keep the mood elevated :-)

I have a good recording of the very last live performance of Damien and Lisa the day before in Berlin btw. Asthonoshing performance. And this is def a great performance of this song btw :)

There is no prob with the audience, they juste have to listen and watch him, they are filmed, they could not dance or hands clapping. What do you want them to do seriously ? If they were doing something, it would probably spoiled the performance, this is a part of respect I think

Exactly. Even I as a fan of Damien sometimes struggle to share his songs with others, on one hand fear people might know that I sometimes can relate to his songs. On the other hand, I'd feel it's such a waste if people didn't understand the his emotional vulnerability, anguish and honesty in his songs.
