If you enjoy videos about mom and pop owned Filipino restaurants (carinderias) then please help me achieve my goal of eating at a carinderia in every barangay of the Philippines by subscribing and sharing and commenting!
Filipino cuisine is indeed dynamic on its own, with bold flavors of coconut, fish sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, different spices, slow-simmered marinated meats, and mildly sweet flavor. Some traditional Filipino dishes may appear simple in terms of seasoning and ingredients but rely on slow cooking methods or the use of rich beef or chicken broths and sauces to develop such complex flavors. The diverse influences from various cultures including Malay, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and American made our combinations of ingredients so unique and flavorful! THANK YOU, KURT for another exciting Karinderya food adventure! We can’t go a day without watching your vlog and dropping a comment. ❤️💕❤️💕 Your avid viewers from Illinois, Josephine and Jocelyn (JoJo Twins)
I started laughing when Ate walked away as you were asking her the name for the Beef Mechado lol. This has been a part of my daily routine, keep it coming. One more thing, can you say Pininyahang manok? lol, you rock Kurt!
Wow Kurt. Your effort is so endearing. You get the pronunciations wrong, but that you're trying so hard them right makes you so relatable and likeable!
Sarap! Maraming pagkain dyan kuya kurt.. iba iba mga putahe dyan at mumurahin pa. hindi tulad dito sa states puro nalang ako mcdonalds and steak, boring pagkain dito sa amerika..the mystery ulam kuya kurt is "Beef Kaldereta"
Just ♥ the organic interactions with the locals! The content is about local carinderias, but the pinoys you meet everywhere are the cherries on top!👏👏👏
Masipag, matyaga, mabait, at syempre good looking ka @TagalogKurt; mag-ingat palagi, more power and God bless us all. 6am na, matutulog na ko. Salamat sa post! 🙂❤🙏
hala! this is one funny episode 😅 you eating at Marites karinderya with 3 Marites on the side, real-time 😆🤙 happy life in brgy. Olympia, Makati indeed! 🌈🌞
saya po panuorin mga vlogs mo kuya Kurt may kasamang interaction with locals kumpara sa iba 😂 maglagay po kayo ng basang bimpo sa batok para di kayo masyado mainitan 😁
Nice bantering! Even as sampler dishes those prices are very reasonable! You will never get that kind of home cooked & nutritious meal here in the states even in Filipino restos for that price! Anyhow, nice video! Keep on plugging! Stay cool & safe! Godspeed!
your in at makati city?try to visit the fill in station located at makati ave. burgos , brgy olympia, makati it was a restaurant that has 60's.70's vibe.. shout out makati here
Mukha nga masarap mga ulam ni Aling Marites Karinderya 👍 Glad you like Filipino food! Will wait for the list of places you visited para masubukan din namin 👍
The Pineapple Chicken is pronounced, "PI-NIN-YA-HAN"...PINYA (pineapple) but used as a verb in the past tense--PININYAHAN. Mabuhay ka pareng Kurt! Bagong subscriber mo ako!!!
Hello Again Kurt. Apologies for unsolicited suggestion. I don’t mean to offend you/ hurt your feelings because I don’t mind seeing you sweating on your video which is normal and trust me brother, I have experienced that when I am in the Phils. I just wanted to share my insight on how to be comfortable in the Phils on a hot day. If you are not brand conscious, like you don’t mind wearing no-name shirts since the fabrics from the US are heavy cotton and polyester, try to look for Gildan soft spun cotton shirts which is more comfortable to wear /suitable to wear because of the weather in the Philippines. They range from $1.25-$6 each depends on where you buy them but I was lucky to buy them for $1.25 from amazon, bought them in different colors then I left them in the Phils on my way back here because they won’t hurt your pocket anyways because they are cheap plus less weight for your baggages coming back. They don’t look cheap, they are lightweight and durable.
Pawis na pawis ka naman😓 Manong Kurt please bring cooling wet wipes next month na trip mo sa Pinas. I dont know how to reach you because i need help regarding with the donations. My comment was removed in IG. 🤦♀️ i really want to donate but i need help with the payment method.
Wow.... I'm glad, you like our Filipino dishes. Hope, someday... I see and meet you personally and try our home made food too here in Zapote St., Brgy. Sta Cruz Makati City
Hi Kurt. Awesome vlog for featuring delicious viands from karinderia today and the mariteses (unconsciously they are being featured on your vlog) which is great. Grabe yung mga marites sa behind you, Pasada 630 (Morning Radio Program in the Phils) Tuloy-tuloy yung ratsada 😅 hindi nangangawit yung mga bibig nila which is funny but the good is they are friendly. Walang ganyan sa states 😊.
You should try Lola Ibyang’s near Maysilo Circle/boni for lechon kawali and Minnerva’s along Asuncion corner Nicanor Garcia for grilled liempo and bbq’d stuffs
Marites carinderia. 😮, 😅, 😊, I thought they were kidding. Maybe, don't take me seriously, they could rename the carinderia to : tsis-miss carinderia. Joke only 😂
Instead of "Titikman" ko lang" = I’ll just taste it. You can also say Lalasahan ko lang = I will just taste it. Titikim lang ako = I’ll just have a taste. That means the same thing.❣
Sure love to try these type of mom and pop places in the Philippines however, my stomach reacts to the food for some reason. I visited the Philippines back in 2018.
If they get a low score and the food just isn't for me I don't post them to the vlog. I don't want to hurt business just because I didn't like something.
mahal ang ulam and rice. It should only be 60 pesos per meal. You are paying a white tax for real. I hope it’s not leftovers from last week😊😅😮 please wear a shirt that is less thickness and for outdoor. You sweat too much 😊😂
