the origin of Jollyjeep is that they are literally Jeepnies parked in makati CBD parking lots converted to food stalls or carinderia type eateries. since food stall are not allowed sa mga parking lots, yung mga creative na mga vendors eh nagtinda sila gamit mga jeeps to sell foods so they can park legally to sell foods. and later on, yung local government ng makati, they gave the sellers an better looking food stalls, so they phased out the jeeps with a true bue food stalls. so ngayon wala na syang mga jeeps and makikita nyo na ngayon eh mga typical carinderia looking food stalls sa parking lots pa rin ng makati cbd.
We need Jessica to make a definitive tier list ranking all of the sisigs she's tried throughout Paborito!!
MB lo. Lxicdu of
Kaya pala kinikilig si ate kasi baka yung french chef naiisip niya while nag rereco ng food hahahahha
HAHAHA I had a feeling na pogi yung french by the way she talked about the owner XDDDDDD
Jessica, gives these editor a raise. They know what they're doing 😄
Fr lol
My wife told me that the French Chef looks a lot yummier than the crepe. lol
Haha! This is funny!
Hahahaahaha
Hahahahah ..
Damn! Feel sorry for you bruh 😂😂😂
Ahahaha, then you have a problem.😛
I live a street away from Crêpe Glazik and it's my first time hearing of it 🙃Now I got to try it! There should be a lot of authentic good restos around Salcedo Village and the surrounding areas since the embassies of different countries are located here.
I live in dela costa and wow! Surprised how I've never come across it.
same here! and i really thought i have tried every restau around me lol
Thank you for the recommendations. My sister lives and works at this area. Next time, when I am on vacation. I will go to try Sisigrada and Glazik Crepe. I love how expat chefs serve authentic foods with high-quality ingredients. All of the food and drink is more tasty and delicious here!
That is where exactly I was working in the Philippines 20 years ago before I immigrated to the USA!🇺🇸
Business District… affluent… corporate with a lot of regular worker foods available especially during lunch time.. the Jollyjeep… where you can get home cooked Filipino food at reasonable price! But during payday 💵, splurge on real high end food at Greenbelt and Glorietta!
I MISS THE PHILIPPINES!
🇵🇭😢
I feel you! I also live now in the US, but seeing this episode made me remember the times I would go to the Jollijeeps on my lunch break. The nostalgia is real 😅
I know! Throw back talaga during those times! Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!🙂@@maanxmai
There's a Mang Tootz branch along San Agustin Street. Along Valero, you should have tried the Beef Pepper Rice at Grub Shack/Chili Peppers. Suki Gyouza and Gringo's somewhere in Dela Rosa are also good. Other good restaurants are actually inside food courts of buildings like Ayala Tower One, PBCom and Enterprise Towers. There are also some good food along the covered walkway from Makati Med to Greenbelt, like House of Lasagna. There are pricier ones like XO Bistro, and Tinong Bahru in Valero, and La Creperie near Salcedo Park.
Sadly no Chili Peppers na :(( so saaad I miss their hot headed squid HUHU
Also Poochini's!!
I was hoping somebody will reco Mang Toots
Shoutout to you and your editor/s. Amazing content and editing just like how actual Korean variety shows do it.
Haha exactly! 🔥🇰🇷
Hello Jessica. I enjoy seeing how you explore with Filipino cuisine. I’m a fan of sisig, but have you tried dinakdakan? I hope you can travel different provinces to experience their delicacies because there’s so many really good Filipino food or restaurants to discover that are uncommon to others. Best of luck to your vlogs.
dinakdakan gangggg
May na- discover na naman syang new favorite Filipino food *( BILO-BILO)* nya dito sa "PABORITO SERIES"
The best merienda ang BILO-BILO 😋
Sisig sa Rada is where Chef JP Anglo always go to. Chef JP is also ilonngo from Bacolod. He is the owner of Sarsa resto in Makati. You can try also there.
Sisig is drinking food. Pointless to eat it with rice. Unless it is not sisig. That is not sisig at all.
Crepe Glazik was my go-to breakfast nook when my child was studying in that building. The smoked salmon crepe was my usual order. The gelato was superb. Everything i had from the menu was so gooooddddd... 😊
You and your team never fail us to give a quality and informative content. Definitely you're one of the few content creators who genuinely do this for passion and not for clout. Definitely worth our time! Keep it up, Jessica! I've been working in Makati CBD for 6 years and I have never knew Crepe Glazik! Will go there for sure
I've been working in Ayala for more than a year now but this is the first time I've heard of Crepe Glazik and I'm excited to try it one of these days.
I was working at the Enterprise Building before just next to BPI, we usually do not go out for lunch kasi there was a manang na nag papa order ng pagkain mamimili na lang kami kung ano gusto namin ulam at kanin, budget meal for the next day, it was 25 to 35 pesos pa, nakabalot sa plastic may kasama nang saging, at that time more than 20 years ago, tapos dun sa may car park meron din carinderia, mura at masarap.
It costs PHP 57,000+ to secure a permit to shoot videos in Makati?!?! Crazy!
But your team goes above and beyond the usual vlogger to create good content! Kudos to everyone!
mygas
Ha may bayad angpa vlog sa makati? WTF pera-pera
whoa wtf
seryoso? baka corporate rate yan, di kasama small scale.
@@Whattheheck_78sa ayala area lang kasi private property ng mga ayala yung buong area na yun
It would be interesting! if you would ask the residents who live at that area. And what are their food recommendations are? There are a lot of restaurants, bubble tea places and bakeshops in that area.
Yum!😋 Ginat an ( Bilo bilo) , I always associate Bilo bilo or ginat an to summer as we call it here in Panay Island 😊 .
It is my first time watching your YT I love your videos You really know to describe the food and your experiences verbally I'm hooked to your channel 💯
aside from the jollijeeps, there are canteens in the buildings in Makati. Some buildings allowed outsiders to come...
What are company's canteens allow the general public to eat?
Yes, like Odyssey. I forgot the building name. Maybe it's in LKG tower
@@Retselfern03 Food Odyssey In LKG Tower is gone.
@@doraima29 you might want to try GT Tower or RCBC. It has food choices there
Wish Jessica would travel to other far places as well, to try new food naman. Pwede rin like trying fusion FilipinoXother country food sa ibang bansa ganern.
content keeps getting better and better keep up the good work jessica and team!
Your selection is just right. Compared to other Korean vloggers in our country, you and Jinho Bae are Classy. The others mostly pang masa appeal lang. You can go high standard to low standard too.❤
"Pang MASA appeal LANG" T_T sorry for being a normy. haha!
Ay wow ikaw na po ang ALTA at SOSYAL (social climber)
@@goinbulilit3846hahaha
Nanood lang ako Isang video ni Jessica last time na. Dumaan sa suggested ko, then eto bawat vid na napadaan na ood ako at Napa subscribe na Rin! Proud Ilonggo here!
Jessica's description with the Apple Crépe made me think that maybe someday she'll end up dating a great chef 😭💗
There is a Canteen in the PSBANK Bldg i forgot what floor where it is but you can also go and eat there. I think 18th floor you can ask the guard at the entrance.
Bilo bilo is straight up Korean palate. It’s sweet and sticky chewy component
6:37 wouldn't have guessed she hasn't tried it. It's definitely one of the best foods we have.. that could be a nice vlog for you to try out though, trying out foods you've never eaten before.. but also, dang! The fan service of your reactions, mi corazon 😭. But lowkey, the editing of the video is a little different from the previous vlogs you upload.
Yours, your Manliligaw 😊
When eating at Jolly Jeep or roadside karenderia, you can ask for a small bowl of available soup (sabaw) which is not applicable to most fastfood joints and restaurants.
Got to try that Crepe Glazik 😋😋❤ thanks Jess for this episode. We love you ❤😍🥞🍗🍰🍝
I would've recommended Mang Rudy's. I hope you'll have a part 2 coz there's more to explore in Makati 😊
damn your super CUTE Jessica Lee 🤩😚😍😊😘💕❤️💞
Still watching 💪💪💪 November 19, 2o23
Wow, I'm actually surprised! most of these place I know and we eat most of the time. I was hoping to meet you some day on this type of segment XD
Poochini's was so close to the first Jollijeep stall! It was our go-to place when we were still working in Makati CBD. Yummy and affordable food! :)
You should try Poochinis in Valero near Army Navy. Their homemade ulams are the best for me! ❤❤❤ They have their own food stall like canteen/carinderia 😊
That place is very memorable to me, I remember doing all the non-sense job hunting It was a cruel day for another average filipino fresh graduate struggling to find meaning in life and to realize that business areas just a design everyone in all those places where "recruitment" is happening basically there's nothing there they're all packed and that the purpose of those visits are just to find out if there's anyone unique and extremely intelligent that they could hire, literally recruiters are in heaven and they're just about to offer the most selfish contracts they could offer even to those who are well qualified Makati is an absolute exploitation of young intelligent people they filtered out from the other millions of average young people.
Subscribed! Great channel for viewers to learn the language…love to hear a lil more Tagalog in the mix.❤
Our go-to in Makati is 24 Chicken eventhough line is always long hahaha also, sisig sa rada and porkchop in palanca
The crepe place has been on my list since the 2 french guys recommended it.. excited to try it
They say rice is life, I say Jessica Lee is life!
The last time I had sisig sa Rada was in 2016. It was only 50 pesos that time. Paborito namin yan ng officemates/friends ko lalo na pag nagtitipid kami. :)
I remember way back in 2006 at Legazpi Village, I used to buy food sa mga Jollijeep for lunch. The fried rice and porkchop are good and definitely my favorite.
Please feature more provinces in the PH. Love your vids!❤
Hope you can also try Rustic Mornings by Isabelo in Marikina and try their Breakfast Platters.
I passed there (Crépe Glazik) almost daily but never went inside. After your taste test I will definitely go there today. 👍👍👍
Jessica went to all the places I eat at work really nice... Just missed 1 in Mang Tootz also nearby from the Crepe Glazik.
This was so informative for food lovers.
when I was still working in Makati, the triangle is our go to aside from the ones in makati ave. But I agree with the first guy, Jollijeep is the best. Please try the pares near VXI makati.
please try foods here in Angono this coming fiesta, november 23 (thursday) enjoyy
The jolijeeps are similar to the carinerdias/turo-turo in terms of the food they serve.
16:16 Ang gwapo naman nung owner hahaha... Makasalanan naman tayo nito dahil kay Jessica
Jessica is a proud ilongga!
Why is the edit of this video is so funn? Hahahaha.
Oo nga. Dami alam na shock faces. 😂
That "anader paborito" hits different 🙌👏
Nice good publicity for the French crepe the look of it you can easy tell it's so delicious
her reactions are just so authentic and priceless. I love her❤
Hahahah. Btw ang cute/pro mo mag-enterview at panoorin na kumain. 😊❤
I feel the Chef's pride right now. It's on the line.
I swear if he's almost to do some show cooking.
Damn.... I miss kitchen life...
I stayed in Makati a week ago with my family. My brother found Kanto Freestyle which was walking distance from our hotel. I liked it! Wish we had more places like that in the states.
Visit Villamor Air Base Jessica!! Sobrang daming marerecommend na food places don!
Ang galing ng mga feedback nya sa lahat ng food na natikman nya ..very honest and genuine..
jutay lang! 🤣jollijeep yep talaga sulit and home cooked as in pati mga managers umoorder din don, un turon nila mas malaki pa sa sm..ttake out mo lng tlga cya sa office mo kkainin kc tayuan kng sa jjeep k kkkaen..world of chicken sa may philam bldg b un..alotg of samgyup sa makati ave.. un tapsilogan sa mga zapote..un malaysian resto sa may rcbc..tas meron jan un pinoy resto sa ayala triangle, un may bagoong rice..sarap nun no need mag ulam.. d halatang dun ako tumira nuh?🤣
You should try DOREMI Tapsilogan Ms. Jessica! Best tapsilogan ever! Na feature na sila sa Jessica Soho and other news. Located at Brgy Poblacion, St Paul College Makati besides St Paul church.
the sisig looks like the "outside Bicol" Bicol express. You should try Bicol express in Bicol mismo! Ibang-iba.
Parang dinakdakan yun sisig🙂🙂🙂
Bilo-bilo is my favorite, the ilocanos calls it tambotambong. I am actually waiting for you to tatse it and feature it in your vlog because I know you'll love it. FINALLY!!!
Bilo bilo is low key my favorite PH dessert. Much better for my palate, and the texture is AMAZING chefs kiss.
you should try Crosta Pizzeria next time!
For real tho!!! YOU SHOULD OPEN YOUR OWN RESTO OR FOOD CART!!! ❤❤❤
I hope their is an episode of A day in a life of Filipino workers.
I like your paborito episode.
The Jollijeep in Palanca street that serves deep fried pork is the best Jollijeep for me ❤❤❤
Uy thats where our office building is located. Youll be surprised that theyre really that good, lutong bahay will always be the best and pinoy's fave. Super sarap. Im glad you found the guys, they even brought you there. So nice of them. 😊☺️❤
hi jessica & team, we went to crepe glazik last weekend... best crepe ever! thanks for the reco.
Adobo and Sinigang for me as well. Adobo for a quick food fix and Sinigang whenever I'm sad.
Try the Orange Bucket in Newport Pasay Double Dragon. Best seafood in town. Highly recommended
In mid-80s while applying for work there, the Jollijeeps are really jeeps where you eat inside the jeep or outside with a countertop where you eat. The food was so good especially the adobo, beef/pork steak, menudo, fried porkchop, etc. And the cost was just around 8 to 10 pesos for a complete meal with softdrink/soda.
Also, there is a Mang Tootz in the area... and other restos too
i would’ve recommended Claudette’s 😊 hihi try their Cloud 9 cake 🍰
ANG FUNNY SOBRA NG MGA EDIT HAHAHAHAHA YOU SO CUTE JESSICA!!! Hope to see you one day! I’ll share with you my paboritos! ☺️
yipuda jessica. thank you for appreciating our culture and you're good in taglish.
Great, will visit this area after summer and definitely looks amazing 🍖🔥🌞 Fun to see you're Korean, lived there 1.5 yesrs, amazing place too 😊🇰🇷 Love the editing 😁
The sisig is like dinakdakan @5:39
Love watching your paborito series!!! watching here from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia!!!😍
Try the Dinakdakan at the back of VGP Center. The Name of the Jolly Jeep is Kuya Lot.
That "Oversimplified" background music got me.. When will they release another video? 🤔
Will try out the crepe place next time
Bgc naman po next, hirap ako makahanap ng makakakainan dun na mura, tho 2019 pa yun
LOL that line Every Sisig has a a different story is too funny!! But you are right, every sisig is different but my favorite one is the maskara sisig and plain seasoning of salt, pepper a lil bit of vinegar and top it off with a calamansi! Wooop sarap!
Haha yes jessica, get a franchise of their sisigsarada, and name it "sisigsaaaraap my paborito"
And also your editors is doing a good job with the editing. Its more to fun to watch. 😅❤
i've been working in Makati and almost there all the time, but this is also the first time i've heard about the crepe glazik. thanks for sharing your paboritos!
same. I might have to visit that when I come by ayala to visit a friend.
Thankyou jessica for recommendation marami makakadiscover nito
Have an amazing weekend, take care and God bless you 🙏 😊
The next time I am back in Pinas, I'll look for those spots.
Hello Jessica Try Aling Banang, Tita Lulu's, De Leon's Puto Bumbong and Big scoop at San Juan City Metro Manila 🙂
❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
Ayala family ang nag establish ng Makati city kaya it is consider a private property by the Ayala' fun fact 😊
that one they called sisig on the jollyjeep is actually dinakdakan coz it's cut bigger than sisig coz sisig is almost like giniling and chopped like minced pieces while dinakdakan is cut in a much bigger pieces 😊
yeah its dinakdakan for sure, the bite size and the texture of the dish👍👍
Yeah bigger cuts of meats, onions, and chillis
Your edditors deserve a raise. Job well done!
I work here for years but Sisig sa RADA. Pork chop sa don carlos palanca is the top choice.
