Lol. Okay bud. Last I checked the state owned this one. And I’ve never fished a brush pile on this lake. Don’t need to in order to catch fish. And this lake had zebra muscles long before the first time I fished it.
There is a lot to digest here.. 1. “Your lake” it’s a public body of water funded directly by the fishermen you want to stay off “your lake”. I wonder if TPWD knows it’s your lake. 2. Congratulations on setting out brush piles on a public body of water. Your contribution is much appreciated. I wish I had a cookie or two I could send you for your efforts. 3. Do we really need to discuss “owning the point” do we?!? 4. The “other stuff you guys bring” when people like you stop gatekeeping the sport, you might actually be taken seriously. Seriously though, I can appreciate trying to preserve a “spot” but 99% of us are conservationists first. We want to see healthy bodies of water and so long as we’re operating within our legal rights, posts/comments like yours are just fodder for content. You and the bobber brigade will be just fine, I’m sure of it.

I just got back from Lake Athens, first time bass fishing, got an 8 pounder, it was great. My wife and I will now try to retire to it's banks.
