I heated my old farm house 1,500 sq ft with 2 diesel heaters 2 years ago, worked good. Used just one until the temps got extra cold, then fired up the 2nd one. Now, I'm going to use some flexible dryer duct and put it around an extended exhaust (I already have both) and run a small DC fan at the bottom of the heater where the exhaust starts and split it off before it goes outside. I should be able to nearly double my heat output from 1 heater depending on the CFM of the fan. Easy and cheap way to increase efficiency.
They are good! Used first time 3y ago on the peak of the hiking gas prices to warm my bungalow. Just like you, I keep air circulating in the house with a ventilation system I put many years ago to fight the mould and condensation, and all internal doors open. It helps spreading the hot air around. First diesel heater lasted 2,5 years, went through two winters full blast until the intake fan stopped working. Looks like it was a defective electronic board that you can buy spare. At that time I opened the burning chamber and it was clean as new, no carbon accumulation whatsoever. Decide to buy another one to heat my garage. Hope they keep the prices down as they are more and more popular. Now, living in a country where government makes everything for you to spend more, I believe at some point they will come up with something to turn them illegal for home heating, but until that happens, winter is warmed by these Chinese diesel heaters at my place. :D
I like your place! I like that the kitchen is upstairs! I would be less likely to go in and get a snack if I had to climb stairs! Good info! I live in Florida so I don’t need heat much but you never know! I’d definitely have one of those if I was somewhere cold!
Hey Taylor Great Video I have to tell you though Chrome Valdez did one on that he's from Van City Vanlife up in Vancouver Bc and he said you will have black sut that will start to develop over a 3 year period but should work for short stays
I bought a 9k diesel heater for my truck camper because my thought process was ( I can always turn the thermostat down if it gets too hot ) I was unaware that these diesel heaters have a “high” and a “really high” and never shut off!!! Once it slows down I have to have every window open in my camper to keep it from reaching 90° F inside!! 🤮 One of my next upgrades is a smaller heater haha. Basically I’m saying they work awesome!! lol Great video 🤙
Looks like he did a quick test setup. For real installs here is a couple details that are different. The combustion intake and exhaust should slope down to drain moisture. The cabin input and output are vented to cabin so you aren't heating cold air as much.
If you use this Diesel heater in your honda van , you have to re-direct part the heat vent to the outside as this thing even on it's lowest setting will cook you out of your van , unless it's minus 10'c But they are fun to use for winter camping, The clicking of the fuel pump actually puts me to sleep. Enjoy Taylor PS nice Condo !!
I use mine 5KW to heat a small workshop, with the exhaust going outside a few meters further through the wall and some glass wool to insulate the wall. I take the air intake inside so that I don't have to make another hole in the wall, fresh air is coming in through all small openings that is no problem I think. All worked fine at low power or medium power untill I reached the 100/150 total working hours range of the heater. From then it refused to start, fuel came well in through the tubes, but no more combustion, and no flame. It appeared that the heater was completely clogged with sooth and the unburned fuel sprayed in the chamber did the rest and flooded everything on the inside and outside with fuel. Luckely I placed a complete iron reservoir under it to prevent it from leaking all over the floor. Anybody any experience with how to run it without it getting clogged after approx 100hrs ? What should I do / not do / to prevent it from getting clogged so soon ???? I installed a new one and had the exact same result.
You probably need to install a fuel filter and be extremely cautious to not get any dirt or even dust to get into the fuel system. Also moisture and condensation maybe? Keep the diesel tank full might help and don't run it to empty. I think oil will go on top of water.
What are you burning? Once my diesel heater is up and running for a few minutes, there is no smell or smoke from the exhaust at all even 2 feet away from the muffler. I burn red farm diesel, no road tax therefore less expensive.
Worst LCD control switch in the universe. Just dreadful. Poor instructions, poor construction and very confusing operation. Trying to understand the programming is like Buddhist meditation upside down on a roundabout. The Vevor heater I got had heater glow plug fail after about 5 hours, diesel went though. Worked last winter, used it a few times. This winter as soon as the snow arrived it has now had a E06 error and the heater fan motor has gone. I don't have time to fix it and I don't have spare money to buy a new one. The parts and time waiting to get them mean I am at the mercy of the Finnish winter at our cottage. What a nightmare!
Wow that’s a crap deal there, I’ve been watching videos to see what one will last longer cause I don’t think a lot of them weren’t made with good quality parts to run consistently. Good luck my friend.
Real world tests are the best. I really don't trust youtubers that tell you how good or bad a product is. I like to see it being used IRL. Fun video.
keep the clips coming
Yeah.....totally unexpected subject but it works! 🎯
love these types of vids
Great backup heat source in case of a weather emergency
For emergencies you can better have a diesel heater that doesn't need electricity. Those can be started with a lighter.
For emergencies, you should learn how to run two sticks together to start a fire.

Random but awesome as hell video !
Super fun experiment! I've been considering a disel heater for winter camping. Looking forward to your next video.
Great TH-cam channel!
Thanks good info. The split levels make the small living space more appealing and interesting to live in....

That house layout is cool as

Great video, this might be the future of cheap house heating!
Ive been rolling around the idea of doing this when temps are too low for my heat pump
Good little heater!

gotta be in series to measure current
Love this testing!
Are you thinking of putting it ( installing it) in your vehicle ?
Great test video! But, did you actually put a Styrofoam tray under that exhaust pipe?? 🤔🤔
That's what I thought at first but I think it's a ceramic butter dish.
You should probably also letting the intake take the air from inside the house. Heating 9 degrees air or 19 degrees is a big difference in efficiency.
Love this testing!
Are you thinking of putting it ( installing it) in your vehicle ? Like I mean permanently?
Great video
i have an 8k ver as of last night it was 10f not 10c my house stayed around 72 to 75f my house is small but bigger 800 SF
how long will it run with 5L Diesel?
If it's 10 or 20 below will having everything outside operate the same?
No , have you seen a thing called winter before ?
Tube on exhaust point down moisture drain
Bring the controller inside I have two of them heating my tiny home.

@bobdebouwer7835 there is a fuel filter present and no moisture
@@rene8177 then i don't know. These units are so cheap it's a miracle that most do work.
I’m buying one
a single 5kw vevor heater heats my whole single wide trailer this is its 2nd winter
DEEZUL
I bet two diesel heaters would do a better job heating up a house.
You mean two would do better than one?
I bet your neighbors gave you hell for all that exhaust your were putting out. It’s nasty stuff and lingers with those diesel heaters.
What are you burning? Once my diesel heater is up and running for a few minutes, there is no smell or smoke from the exhaust at all even 2 feet away from the muffler. I burn red farm diesel, no road tax therefore less expensive.
No there’s not.
First!
Yes you were !!
@@TaylorDzaman 🤣
Hey Taylor awesome videos glad your back. The exhaust hose should be hung downward for any condensation
What prize did you win?

There is only “1” TD, “This is going to b exciting! My sock just fell off.”
Check to see if that allows in building and insurance company has to say about this
Or not. Because big brother is lame.
What's with the soyboy thumbnail?
A condo isn't a house. A house is a free standing single family dwelling.
Thank goodness we got that cleared up.
