@@cptnblood3469 thank you for the reply, good to hear that it's still working good for you. Thinking about getting one for my Garmin striker plus 5cv. How long does the battery last for you?
@@FishKeeperFishing CHeck the amp draw on your head unit. its a 15Ah battery so in theory, it should last 15 hours at 1 ah draw. I've used it for nearly two full days on the water with phone charges in the mix.
Frank, You could but... I think you would find better equipped batteries for what you're putting together. Find your max amp hour draw for the trolling motor you decide on first, then look for the battery that can satisfy that motor to last you as long as possible. I'd give the lithium ion batteries by Battery Tender a look. Great reviews and reasonable prices. Best of luck on your project!
Ok, thanks...So what would you recommend for a minn kota endura C2 45? I have a KC K12 kayak and just really need the lightest battery that I can find. I tried googling it, but want to hear from someone who isn't just trying to sell.
How can I find out how much power a fishfinder uses I am looking at lowrance hds 7 carbon its says 500 watt rms but wilderness says elite 7ti would be to much power the hds 7 is a higher unit. what do you think thanks for your help.
I run the Lowrance Elite 5 TI and the battery allows the unit to outlast my time on the water. The battery is rate at 15 amp hours. So you'll have to find what the Lowrance Carbon HDS 7 uses in amp hours to determine the life you can expect. The weight, price point, and multi port options I find, are far better than ANY SLA option out there. Best of luck. I hope that helps point you in the right direction.
You'll find varying results with different types of fisher finders and their capabilities. My experience has been with a Lowrance Elite 5ti. IN using this battery my brightness is maxed, wifi on, sonar on, plotting points on the chart plotter often, handful of phone charges, and it's given me reliable power for around 10 hours. If I were more conservative, it could last longer.
was ready to purchase for the size and AH...but new info on website indicates if fishfinder/sonar (or whatever draws more than 1 amp..dont use). They really need to get this setup workable for newer units like hook 5 that draws 1.5 amps. If I wanted lights, the draw would be more. Bummer!!
just got this thing. directions were written by a 5 year old with bad spelling... has full charge yet nothing is powering up... FF or phone. clicked once for USbs and twice for 12v Out. nothing is working!
how's the long term reliability of this battery? any update review in this battery? thanks in advance
I'm glad you asked. I still use it regularly to this day. Still has my reccomedation.

@@cptnblood3469 cool thanks. Spec says 12V and 0.4A so should be good for couple days
Could you use this for say a Lawrence hook 2 and a go pro at the same time?
What's the smallest and lightest battery that you would use for a trolling motor on a kayak? Could you use this?

shop.mariner-sails.com/Wilderness-System-Lithium-Battery-WS-8070059.htm
These guys will set you up!
Now that you've had it for awhile, how do you like it, would you buy it again? There don't seem to be any real user reviews out there.
how long can you run your ff on that battery
