Oh but don’t worry, shaheen can do what lee used to and even get a float combo out of it. But I ain’t worried bout that cuz seeing a shaheen in tekken 8 will be as rare as a unicorn.

I wish perfect inputs weren’t mash friendly in heat but I do like how you’re still rewarded for the perfect timing anyway. The audio cues letting you know if you did it right is a genius idea.
Lee is the antithesis to mashing, I mash everyone's combos except for Lee
I think it’s good for casuals. I’d rather the casuals still get something for mashing, and THEN also get something more for great execution.
Rather than getting nothing until they’re good enough.
correct me if I'm wrong but I think that audio feedback on just frames were introduced on tekken 4. don't know why they dropped it lol
It was obvious that this was going to be the case since they basically did that with electrics as well. It's OK because good players will enjoy the reward of being able to do these moves with or without heat

ff+3 was -11 in previous games, so it being -9 makes sense (a good buff I've been longing for tbh).
With 10 frame heat smashes on some characters with hella range, it definitely needed to be brought down to -9.
I wonder if they did the same with his f2,1 (though that's always been duckable anyway)

Those slide nerfs are HUGE for lee tho makes his mixups way harder
Not really due to the fact that with +3 he can mash which plays into counter hitting,Lee's strength.I can ALMOST guarantee you Fighting GM and imyourfather are gonna use the HELL out of that mix still.And we still havent seen it on counter hit either so theres that.
@@zeokenx2 On CH it knocks down which guarantees Silver Tail (FC df+4) for some 40+ damage which is pretty chunky. Who knows, it may guarantee more things other than Silver Tail so i'm excited to find out.

I've heard that magic 4,4 has slower recovery for combos and B1 can't connect. TMM didn't try other potential pickups but I'm thinking nothing else works. I'd imagine they really want you to commit to 4,3,4 for a launch off of a magic 4. Lee is looking amazing in this game so I'm looking forward to picking him up

I wonder if Lee spaces his slide enough, he can get followups off of it?
I noticed it's +3 at point blank, and on block it can be -15 at point blank down to -9 in the video. If it's possible to be spaced just a bit further that means it would be +10 on hit which could be pretty wild.
Heck maybe even he could get +11 into his 444 heat engager which would be WILD.

I used to main Lee all the time in every Tekken alongside Ling. Im really considering maining him in 8, he sounds and looks 10x hotter and his moves look even deadlier. Im hyped!
I love the new just frames...but i really wish they implement violet version of acid rain on ws so he could at least have a ws launcher or a 10 frame acid rain on crouch which would make him more interesting in my opinion..

Hes about class and style. But hes also a wrspins manufacturer like Tony Stark and Tony Stark is obssessed with style. The armor build on the lore they shouldve bee. Capitslizing on since T4 imo. I like his new design but im definitely gonna change his colors around.

I'm so happy, they did my boy good. I did notice tho that hms 4 doesn't knockdown on normal hit anymore which is crazy, being a snake edge that only launches on ch was already pretty bad but you at least got good oki on normal hit. Now it seems completely useless lol
U can combo off from hms4 normal hit on male characters and being off axis makes it even easier!

That's the point.
The voice is what made Lee in the earlier ones. This feels like a different voice actor, or the same but asked them to change approach which... its not the same. That and the robot suit, like "C'mon" not the same Lee. 😂
Its still the same, i think he just got older and cant do the high pitched voice anymore

You also did not check if his WS 2 3 launches or not as he doesn't have a 15 frame WS launcher in T8.
The slide nerf is not good. It should be minus 13 and nothing more if they are gonna change it's animation. Slide was backbone of his game.
Yeah, it is a rather crucial nerf. But calling it "Backbone of his game" is a little bit of an exageration imo. Made it to True Tekken God almost without using it at all.
@@zesor6510 at a high level against pro players, getting close for his CH game gets rather challenging. I was always a big fan of help me and he played the best Lee ever. He utilized slide mix up all the time to create frame traps, launches etc. I understand, he can be played without it but in my experience, it forces the most defensive players to freeze up and sometimes press buttons. So you can do a slide fake and immediately harras them with b4 or 1+2 and stuff. The slide will freeze them and then you have them.
He can hopkick out of crouch in T7 by either buffering the move or by doing u,uf4 out of crouch.
I imagine jump tweening works the same way in T8.

@@mikamoschella3410 buffering is inconsistent and crouch canceling like that can be done only by a computer lol. That's like saying you can land Lei wulongs f n 4 1 2 frame accurate on a - 10 punishable move. Crouch canceling takes away a frame no matter how fast you do it. I've tested all that stuff in practice mode. The best way is sliding back and doing hopkick and hoping you did it fast enough. My point still stands, he was needlessly nerfed in T7 and even more so in T8.

I wouldn't say that Kazuya or Steve goes full T8 Jin but their executions are somewhat toned down. At least when compared to T7.
