If the source movie is 5.1 dd or dts then each individual speaker has a dedicated channel. 3d sound is usually fake surround sound but this unit can do this as well but obviously isn't very good compared to real surround sound.
Ricco123tube Thanks. At the moment I have a LG soundbar and just have a optical cable running from the tv into the soundbar. Could I not just plug the optical in this solution and it would be ok? My TV is the OLED 65B6V. I havent used ARC before or confirmed the B6V has it.
treadstone yeas optical will work perfectly well however you will loose some basic functionality like switching on and off with the tv and tv remote doing volume. I personally use hdmi and optical. I get all the functionality and if it has a funny turn as hdmi sometimes does i still have optical to fall back to.
Are the rear speakers wireless because talking to lg chat n she said you plug each speaker in to a power source also if there wired to the main box how long are the wires for the rear getting conflicting information from lg
This is the wired model but there is a rear speaker wireless model. The rear speakers on the wireless model plugs into a power socket and a cable goes from one speaker to the other. This supplies power and sound signal. Hope that makes sense.
i'd like to know that also, as I'm having trouble finding speaker stands or wall mounts that suit these rear speakers. There's just a "keyhole" for it to "hook" on a screw but there's no screw thread at the back to screw into as I'd expected to find (and as was present on LG's earlier 5.1 systems), so I'm rather stuck with how to mount these correctly. Anyone offer any suggestions please?
Just wondering if anyone can help me, what does connecting it through ethernet actually do? What features aren't available if it doesn't have internet connection? I have a smart TV which is connected to the WiFi anyway but the router is too far away to feed an ethernet to the system.
Hello! I buy this product before some days, I made all settings all good but I have a question. The big front left & right speakers I get sound from top. At the bottom their hole gives me bass or not? I play some demo tests from youtube but can't hear anything. Is this normal? Thanks!
Its just a speaker port. You will not hear anything from the holes. Bass is just from the subwoofer as the other speakers only support higher frequencies.
I know this Bluray Home Cinema System is a few years old but I bought around 3 days, it's taking the place of my Philips Home Cinema System that as served me well for years but it's on it's last legs. Compared to my Philips Home Cinema System the bass from this LG one does not pack the same punch in terms of bass..Simple to set up but one issue I'm finding is that the Tallboy speakers left and right the top two play but the two underneath don't, it seems to be a regular occurrence with this system as I've read reviews with other consumers having the same issue. Have you noticed this issue with your system? I've gone into settings and have increased the volume on both the bottom Tallboy speakers but still no sound coming from them. Seriously beginning to wonder if they are just for show?
The lower speaker isn't actually a speaker, look closely. The subwoofer frequency cut-off point may be different compared to your Philips system, try moving the sub to a different location as this usually helps. Also, if you can hear where the bass is coming from, it isn't setup correctly.
Definitely strange when you think about the value for money for this Home Cinema System that there isn't hardly more reviews about this on TH-cam. £299 is a steal of a price although my Philips Home Cinema System I bought for £149 and that was a bargain even more so. Definitely loving this LG HOME CINEMA SYSTEM after having it for about a week now, hardly turn to high but I can tell that it's powerful. People go crazy over Dolby Atmos Home Cinema Systems but I find having just normal Home Cinema Systems like this it's as if the sound comes from above you anyway. I don't see the point of a Dolby Atmos system that can cost hundreds of pounds when a system like this LG and my old Philips one delivers immersive sound anyway
Thinking of upgrading to this from a soundbar. Will this turn on and off with the tv if connecting over hdmi arc like my soundbar did? Also how much cable do you get on the rear speakers? Looks like I've got the same tv as you as well.
Yeah it will turn on and off with TV. Cable is long enough for small to medium room but if extension is needed its a simple job as the wire is bog standard stuff.
@@ricco123tube Thanks, I know it seems like a dumb question given that's what hdmi arc is meant to do, but the amount of electronic equipment I've had that didn't work as intended meant I had to make sure.

Make sure that the amp is connected to the hdmi on the tv that supports arc. Also in sound menu on tv make sure you have the correct settings activated. Arc is not always reliable. I've not seen a 4k tv without arc and optical. Strange. Maybe try something like this with something like an Amazon fire TV. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F6WFB2N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lFA9EbT1NY5H1

Yes the tv remote turns on the amp and controls the volume. It's pretty standard so you will be fine.
@@ricco123tube Appreciate it, thanks. Hope it just works out of the box like that with no config required, as it's all LG ecosystem
Does it give 3d sound sorround. In that a sound on back left in a movie plays with the specific speaker?
If the source movie is 5.1 dd or dts then each individual speaker has a dedicated channel.
3d sound is usually fake surround sound but this unit can do this as well but obviously isn't very good compared to real surround sound.
@@ricco123tube and what do you mean by real sorround sound?
Great video. Can you advise on how you would connect a PS4 to this product as well as connect the TV for Netflix? Thanks
treadstone if the tv supports ARC then a hdmi cable from tv to cinema kit is all thats needed.
My home theator is not connected to the speeker tell me how to do it bro
Any advice on hiding the rear speaker wires? How long are the wires for them?
I put the wire under the carpet.
Hi. I’ve just purchased one of these and equally impressed. Can I ask where you got the rear speaker stands please?
I f i recall, it was ebay.
Enjoy!
i'd like to know that also, as I'm having trouble finding speaker stands or wall mounts that suit these rear speakers.
Hello mate, how is the centre speakers, when i play football game id like the commentary to be loud is it any good with good quality centre speakers
If you have a proper 5.1 audio track, then the centre speaker works perfectly. You can adjust the individual speaker volume to suit your needs.
Thanjs for the video, i have the same set, but I have an issue with it.
I can't get it to produce sound.
The tv recognizes that it is connected to a home theater but the audio just wont work. And this is on my tv with ARC on it.
The other (better tv with 4k and all) doesn't have arc, or optical, and I have no clue how to connect to it. If you can help me, please do.

@@ricco123tube thank you so much.
I have the exact same model as yours.
It doesn't say in the back however that it supports arc.
Ok so if arc and optical are out, what can I do?
@@ricco123tube this thing that you sent seems promising. I will try to understand how it works. Thank you so much.
Hi, what is the bass like and is it loud? Thank you.
It's adequate for the system. Balanced is a good way to describe it. If you want BASS, get an active system.
I know this is a longshot as this video is two years old - just wondering, does the HDMI ARC decode ps4 well enough so the games in 5.1 are actually 5.1?
On the ps4 pro i had no issues.
Pc works too.
Great video. just information I was looking for. Do you still have the system? If so are you still enjoying it? Cheers.
Still have it and very happy. Actually using it as i type this.
I've got a LG BX would you recommend this home theatre to go with it ? also what's the bass like on the sub
It's a decent all in one budget system. It has good bass and sounds great for small and medium sized rooms.
Good for the price.
Do you get to have on the dial of the amplifier the mention DD+ 3/2.1 in HDMI ARC ?
Yes. I believe i get dd 3 2/1 and dts etc with hdmi arc. Hit info button.
@@ricco123tube Yes I know, but it indicates that DD 3 / 2.1 but never DD + 3 / 2.1 on the dial of the home theater.
I would like to ask what cables to connect ?? Thank you
Hdmi.
Does this has a room for a CD 💿?!!
It has CD, DVD and Blu-ray rom drive to play film and music.
Cheers!
Hey! Thanks for the video!
Can you tell me which TV is this?
LG B7 oled.
Oled is king!!! 😁👍
Does this support HDMI ARC? so it replaces my TV audio and I can use these for my set top box and Xbox one? Cheers!
Sraith Pictuir Parodies yes it does support arc. Very occasionally temperamental so i also have an optical connection too.
Can I play sound also from tv channels and the tv netflix app ? Or only the sound from the blueray player?
Sound from tv too. Netflix, playstation etc.
@@ricco123tube thank you!!
Been looking at 3.1 soundbars and came across your video. What do you prefer?
3.1 for convenience, 5.1 for sound quality.

Please, this Back towers have conexions wireless? Im from Brazil. Tks for answers!
No. The model above has wireless rear speakers.
Good
Does anyone know a good subwoofer that I can add to this system??
Hello! Do you know any 4K Bluray players i could buy to connect them with this speaker's ? I got a 4k oled tv and I only have the bluray player and i want to upgrade but I cant find one..have an awesome day!
Panasonic do a great range of 4k players, ub150 is a good one.
Ub450 supports dolby vision, depending on your TVs support of it.
@@ricco123tube thanks but do I connect the LG LHB645N speakers in the back of the 4k player? Or its another way to do it?
Just plug player to tv and thats it. Tv will pass audio back to amp via arc.
@@ricco123tube thank you for the information! I have the lg oled cx and It doesn't support DTS sound so with the 4k player I will be able to play DTS sound with my speaker's? I will just have both players on?
Hi, those suports of boxers behind the sofa came with the home theater?
Thiago Louro no they were separate.
@@ricco123tube Can you tell us from where can we buy them?
Can you a update on this home cinema with a sound test maybe?
I don't know how to do a sound test other than to say it sounds clear, loud and bass is adequate for a small to medium environment.
Can somebody tell me what the point of the additional speaker in the tallboys are for. Are they just for show or do they produce any sound?
I think it’s just for show

eBay if i recall....
Sorry I'm such a noob. I have a surround sound system like this one and my receiver seems to have died. The power comes on, the system says welcome in digi letters, but switches off 3 seconds later. I know these speakers have weird wire endings that dont seem to fit any other receiver I think lol. Does anyone know if I have options to save my speakers? even better the receiver itself. Or is it all trash now?
Hi.
I just purchased this model. I am trying to set it up, and although I thought the rear speakers were going to be wireless, I love the look of it so want to still keep it.
However, I also thought it was able to connect to the network wirelessly through wi-fi. I cannot figure out how to set it up that way, so I'm wondering if it needs to be connected to the router via an Ethernet cable?
Great video BTW, and thanks for that.

Can the Units internal Bluetooth be BT Locked / Deactivated within it's own settings?. as although i want one these i have heard of neighbours being able to take over the system via the Bluetooth without needing physical access to the unit itself, i wouldn't want the hassle of rowing with a neighbour over this so if it could be turned off that would great. Thanks'.
I'll have a look later for you.

I have the HDMI ARC into the main system but when I turn on my PS4, I’m only getting the tall boys working, the rest no sound. Can anyone help?
Have you setup the sound within settings of ps4?

Does this work with Xbox One without HDMI ARC
If Xbox has optical, yes.
Does this need wires going into the rear speakers?
This model, yes.
Hi! Great video. I currently have a 2.1 soundbar system and thinking of going upto this 5.1 system. My current setup is a older LG NB3530. Would you say it is a worthy upgrade and it is a genuine 5.1 surround system? It’s also the only system I can find that’s not a 5.1 soundbar setup. I have a 86” TV and wanted stand type speakers at the front ideally. Are they going out of fashion?
