At 18:35 Eli tells the story about the AC556 in a defensive gun use. The employee of HK(he eventually founded Al Mar Knives)was chased by a pickup with roadraging bikers in it. He was trying to get away from them but they chased him across multiple towns and they wouldn't leave him alone. He decided to run to his job that had a security gate around it. He hoped once he was through the gates they would leave him alone. The bikers came through the gate after him. He got out of the truck armed with his full auto AC556, told the biker "leave me alone I have a machinegun!". The biker replied "I'm not afraid of you or your machinegun!". Those were the biker's last words. The guy defended himself and killed the biker. The prosecutor tried to convict the defender saying he used a "machinegun" and it was overkill. The FBI had an undercover agent or informer(I can't remember which) that testified the biker was definitely not intimidated and was going to kill him if he didn't defend himself and his girlfriend that day.

I happened to be working at a gun store about 10 years ago when a "young hippie" woman walked in. I mean she was dressed like she stepped right out of Woodstock, long straight hair, sandals, long floral print wrap dress, and a bag made from old blue jeans.
She wanted to look at knives so naturally I had to suggest getting a gun. She said Eleanor was all she needed and kept her with her all the time since her grandfather gave it to her. So I asked what it was and she pulled out a Colt 1911!!
Seems her everyday carry is a US marked Colt 1911 that the serial number dated to 1912!!
She didn't buy anything and we never saw her again, I'm pretty sure she was a glitch in the matrix.

Actually, a Walther PP. Yinz guys went to Pittsburgh 'n' At and didn't talk about one of the rarest 1911A1s? Union Switch & Signal! Made in Swissvale PA, just five minutes from downtown. Only made 55,000 1911A1s plus some M1 carbine receivers. If you find a "National Postal Meter" carbine with a "U" on the receiver tang, or a "Quality Hardware" one marked "UnQuality Hardware", those were both made at the Swissvale factory. Pittsburgh is gun heaven. You could do a part 2 with legion arms, guns priced right, and shaw. Then a part 3 at with range usa sportsmans warehouse, and dunhams. Then a part 4 with elite, federal, big buck and neville island.

1:45 in. Biggest steel producer during a few wars. "Ah, sounds boring". These guys not only helped provide the material for weapons that took cranes and hydraulics to load but also they built the ships. The process of steel production is no joke, especially back then. Much respect to you PA.

    CORRECTIONS, and additions:
-The shotguns that you can slam fire don't have a disconnector, that's why they slam-fire. If they had a dusconnector they would work like modern pumps.
-That S&W 29 Is 8 3/8" CONGRATS!!! You're right the Dirty Harry gun was 6.5"😊👍👍👍
-Remington Rand was a typewriter manufacturer. You msy have said that in the part that was cut.
    -I've worked on a few SPAS-12s....get a Benelli M3 Super 90
-Beretta 92S is the dumbest version of the 92....and I LOVE all of the others
-More correctly that MP5K is set up as a PDW, the ORIGINAL PDW
-IF you REALLY want such a thing, Get a Mini or Micro UZI in semi-auto. The subguns' cyclic rate is WAY too fast. The full-size is great.
-I've had two of the High Standard Model Gs. He's RIGHT, they are useless as sold, so didn't sell well.
-Springfield Armory (US Gov't) are not THAT rare, they made A LOT of them. It's just that ANY real WW1 1911 IS hard to find now.
-THAT IS AN OFFICER'S MODEL since it's a revolver. The Officer's ACP is the compact 1911. GOOD JOB AS WELL!!!👍👍👍
-GOOD JOB on knowing the original Gold Cups had wider triggers!!!👍👍👍
-That Springfield Champion is COOL configuration. It has an OFFICER'S ACP size frame with a 4" barrel/slide. Similar to a Colt CCO, except they are 4 1/4" the same as the Commander. They made the Mil-Spec in all sizes.
-Colt Commanders DID first come out in ONLY aluminum frames, and 9mm. 👍👍👍 For potential replacement of the 1911A1 in the US Military.
-The Mac-11 SLAPS the crap out of your trigger finger. It's a byproduct of it being designed as a sub-gun then being converted to semi-auto, with a DISCONNECTOR.
-What about the bolt style on the vintage M1 Carbine? Round or flat?
-The Liberator was made by GM.
