Ya, done good. I know these kinds of operations, they require focus, concentration, patience eye for detail, not to mention the knowledge and mechanical aptitude to go with. Your Double 007 screw driver served you well.
hello . i did it thanks to you. even thow i dont have a special adapter i just got a cheep faceplate with a 37mm thred online and stuck a c mount lens with electrical tape to it .and it works i have to tell you after ripping out the camra guts and pulling its eyelids off then putting it all back together turning it on for the first time made me nerves as hell ...oh now it has a black screen...then afer what felt forever it started up . wow the start up takes longer now . i also the sony edge app after connecting the camra it dus not let you record enething and the camra it stuck powred on you need to pull the battrey out to reset it. dont know if it is somthing i did or if is a bout ther is no lens. and the lens i have is a 35mm but on the rx0 it looks more like a 80mm i'm going to have to find a wider lens now.
This thing is barebones wicked. Personally shoot with a6400, was searching manual/ef/adapter reviews… 4 tangent videos later… Down a YT rabbit role…😂 First recommended sony rx video since the product promo video a few years ago. Want to see a before/after in-the-field photo/video comparison for all that effort! Great step-by-step process video.
That would have been so much less work, if not for that single screw on the reverse side! awesome mod! If I happen across an rx0 ii for a decent price, I'll probably give this a go.
Hi Sam, great video! Loving kits and resources you’re supplying the community. Quick question regarding the lens. After focussing, do you leave the aperture at 1.4 when flying or do you adjust it according to shooting conditions?
You may adjust the aperture as you wish after locking in the focus. When you stop the lens down, it will make the image become even sharper. You should adjust aperture based on lighting conditions. This Azure 6.5mm lens is softer at f/1.4, but still not bad at all.
Pay the money to have it professionally done. The sensor/lens alignment will be off in MOST cases and you'll have light streaks due to the gap from the lens to the CMOS sensor.

I personally am really fond of c-mount lens. Still stuck with nikon 1 cx format. Good thing I found this. Something to tinker in the weekend.
this needs to be a new market segment for affordable cameras
It was very easy to do - thanks to you and your video! Lots of pain avoided!

crazy level of engineering
Is this going to be waterproof with the C mount adapter?
Thanks for this! Subscribed.
Solid work Sam!
man you are next level bro
My anxiety level went up watching this video 😂
is it possible to get replacement lens glass . I mean the flat piece of sony glass on the front ?
Do you happen to have any of these left for purchase or know where I can get one

Awesome 👍
Nice!
Which nd filter for this len?
nice 👌
where can I buy the RX0 ii camera? it is no stock everywhere. so sad.
there is stock you might have to ship internationally..
You gotta buy second hand, it's discontinued
Hey guys, want to buy one, but your website still under construction.
Is it easy to remove the IR cut filter at this point?
Pay the money to have it professionally done. The sensor/lens alignment will be off in MOST cases and you'll have light streaks due to the gap from the lens to the CMOS sensor.
Why not to buy a camera with interchangeable lenses (e.g. Blackmagic Micro 4K) instead of wrecking good and solid-build equipment?
The chances of me completing this successfully is NIL NONE NADA
