Hi Guys, just wanted to express my appreciation to you all (Jemma, Mum & Dad, Sister and all carnival teams & support staff). Carnival was an experience on all levels (never seen anything like it). Had a blast, and was cool to see all the support from the people cheering and dancing, and having a great time at carnival. You all deserve a cuppa-tea hahaha - Well Done Team(s)!!
'Air conditioning is always on!' Driven more than a few forklift trucks feeling exactly the same way lol ok in summer/dry weather but have worn six or seven layers when its gotten a bit chilly with some white stuff coming down.

The "cab" tour is hilarious. 😂 Your humour is awesome, it's obvious you really enjoy the carnival season and everything around it. I didn't know the Ford Cargo is from 1990, that's a pretty old truck. These last two routes were very interesting with a few challenging corners. But of course you and the other driver were flawless again. It's good to see the big crowds enjoys these events a lot. The run to the shed was a bit easier this time. This carnivel series was fantastic, I loved every minute of it. I'm looking forward to next year's videos. I'm sure your club's cart will be amazin again. 😀
i was involved with glastonbury this year, with the band at the front (the dolphin marching band) first time we have done glastonbury since 2017! never fails do disappoint! great video as always

I agree with you it’s not all glamour, we put on events in Kenilworth as well as running a Saturday charity shop and there can be LOTS of cold long days involved ( like today). I have the heating on as well as the wood stove AND a hot chocolate with whisky , go girl, you give pleasure to lots of people ( in the nicest possible way).
Loved your cab tour and video. I cant imagine what its like to drive with the roof of the cab moving around. Best wishes to mum I bet you driving makes up for mum not being there.🇬🇧🏴
Huge thanks for sharing this mini-series of vids Jemma! This year was the first time I`d been back to Carnival since before Covid so it was really good to be back in the atmosphere! Disappointed to have gone on the night when you were road crew but one other little thing that can annoy but never changes - that annoying mock "swords clashing" noise that comes from some of those light-up toys they sell! n😆
Loved the "Give it rice movie" too. Great insights to the Somerset Carnivals - Christian, Muslim or Carnival. In Bridgie the only religion is carnival. Rofl👷♂👷♀

Great cab tour. I told some people by us what it was based on and how it was converted…. They still believe it’s a tractor underneath 😂😂, so they’ve been shown this video now. Never thought you were born in mid 80’s! Thought you were younger. 🙈. I was born in 83 and remember spotting new h reg vehicles when at school. Don’t see many at all! Leyland roadrunners were the popular truck in our town around then. Scandias were the truck to have. The quarries were Foden ref and leyland daf back then. Great video once again 👍☺️
Nice work. On the subject of the twin-split, do be aware some fodens came with an identical gearstick attached to a zf syncro box. I had one of those about a decade ago, it did NOT appreciate being driven like a twin-split...

One of the lads in vagabonds was in the film hot fuzz, he was one of the lads in the pub. Also 2 and 3 x great grandfathers were master Mason's and did repairs to the cathedral late 1800/ early 1900. Take care.😮
You're such a humerus person, cargos aren't quite and it must be noisy driving cart , cargo brake's are on or off ,no feathering, you do really well getting round bends .
Brilliant Carnival season this year would like to see the dates changed as I said on a previous video. And surprised there hasn't been any Cyberpunk themed carts this year with how popular Cyberpunk 2077 and Blade Runner have been the past few years maybe next year a club will do that theme.
Does the design of the kart only stay for one year then? So there's a year to rebuild and design a whole new theme for the next year. Crazy effort goes in to these to just be used effectively the once then taken apart big respect to all the fitters and designers of these.
Yes all the clubs will dismantle their carts and then start to rebuild a new one for next year. There is no funding all the money is raised by the members through the year. Take care
