- Bollinger Bands can be applied in all the financial markets including equities, forex, commodities, and futures. Bollinger Bands can be used in most time frames, from very short-term periods, to hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
Bollinger Bands are a technical analysis tool, specifically they are a type of trading band or envelope. Trading bands and envelopes serve the same purpose, they provide relative definitions of high and low that can be used to create rigorous trading approaches, in pattern recognition, and for much more.

Let me add that 10 period Bollinger band 1SD, was extensively back tested at MIT by David Elliott about 30 years ago. When price is riding/repeatedly penetrating upper such band THE TREND IS UP IF THE BAND IS HEADED UP AS WELL (this holds true on any time frame chart--5 minute/15M/1H/4H/D/W etc.--direction changes when in that band price rides the lower 1 SD band. INSIDE 1 SD band (10 period) all movements are market noise--and trend RESIDES OUTSIDE that band. If price is riding 1SD band on MTF(say 5M,15 M,1H) simultaneously, you can be sure you are doing the right thing by buying. Martinelli also did work on this noise band. Longer trend can be easily checked by whether 50 period MA is above or below 100 period MA.ALL Comments are welcome.
I've studied BBs for awhile, and your video is the best one IMO, thank you! Now I'm prepared to extract more information from the bands.
I discovered there is a correlation with BB with normal settings and a second with variation 2 and 10 MA and I use a third with variation 3 as stop loss also you have to have a 15min 1h and 4h timeframe open (1D is also handy when the market has high volatility) on your screen together... With attention to the market's condition and time of the day you can be almost precise with your entry and close of your trade. it works on volatile and slow market, but note that I am still studying this strategy created by myself which has been a blessing for my trades, since then BB become a most on my charts 🙌🏻
It helped me to do sniper shot x100 future contracts, one of 300% and the second one 60%. It was small amount but very effective strategy thanks a lot!

You will loose money at 1.5 Speed and you will blow your accounts multiple times before you learn the trade. You need to have patience :)

Given that the bollingers use the 20 as a center makes them useful. Put a 50 on your chart and 100 and 200 as well. breaking the 20 is important. against the trend signals a pullback, most likely to the 50. You will also want to add an EMA 9 to your chart. odds are good that market will retreat back to EMA 9 only to reject it and continue trend. So how do i use bollingers? Well. if price is outside of the bollinger then it is likely to come back in. So i looking for a retreat to at least EMA 9. I get a candle outside the bands and it's coming back inside. It's time to TP and wait. Does price reject EMA 9 or continue to the 20 or 50 or further. You can try to play this move against trend if you want. But there is no way to know how far it will go. It's safer to stick with the trend and wait for it to reject one and then re enter with the trend. The rule of bollingers is that price always wants to come back to the 20 and yes...it does. the 20 gets hit and crossed a lot. I did enjoy how he explained how to use the bollingers for trading. i am familiar with some of these concepts. It's well done. very informative.

#1 rule patience. Let the market come to you. Nothing is perfect. let candles close. Set up your stuff on at least M15. So this is your current trend you are following. This is the support zones you are looking for. And the MAs you are looking for. once you load up the M5 to get a feel for what is going on right now. You already know what you are looking for. M1 is noise. Let that candle close. Check the RSI. If it's too high or low. Stay away. Let it come back and hit your mark and if it rejects it. Bang. you are good.
Most of my set up is structure based. I use MAs as markers. And i do like to use bollingers. Daily Pivots. The safest trades are when the market hits a zone and rejects it. If it breaks then you are better off to wait for it to come back and retest it before you get in.
Trend following. Ok now watch that MA 9 or 20. when the market hits it and says nope... trade with the trend. ride it a ways. the trend is your friend here. the best entry is at an MA rejection.

Very good information on using Bollinger Bands. I think that he goes on break about the 30 minute mark for 10 minutes, so just move the the 40 minute mark once he does this. lol

The "M" pattern and the "W" pattern can both occur on both bearish reversals and bullish reversals right?
Because I happened to find an "M" formation as a signal of a reversal of a bearish trend and vice versa.

Short sell. Short selling borrows the shares from your broker with the promise to rebuy the shares in the future. Shorting is a way to buy high and sell low to make money.

The calculation for Bolingbrook bands is NOT complex. It’s relatively basic math, even a fourth grader can do it.

Sir, 10 period Bollinger band one SD in any time frame captures trend.Lot of work on this came out of MIT. If 1H & 4H trend is up one can safely enter on 15 minute chart,when 15 minute correction is over.Any suggestions?

The title of this video clip is contradicting, master bollinger bands means how to use it in reality. Anyways, most traders teacher, confuse things. Some would even be beating round the bush as if they don't really understand the concept of trading. In the case of this video video here, why not show me, where to get in the trade with reason, where to exit the trade with reason?
