As a homeowner focusing on simple DIY projects (not major construction), I'm looking at Black Friday tool deals and wondering what would be the best value. I'm considering the Ryobi $199 deal, but I'm open to other suggestions. What tool brands or specific deals would you recommend for someone in my situation? If you were in my shoes, what would you choose?"
If you are on a budget that ryobi deal is great. But I love that DeWalt multitool combo kit in the Toughsystem 2.0 rolling box. $499 but higher quality tools.
Jeff, I REALLY appreciate you doing the legwork on these tool deals. Your vids save me a a lot of $ and time. But, I’m not a battery guy how about corded tool deals? Anything out there? - Bob, N.C.
Another great Friday Performance brought to y'all by Mr Black Friday Deals himself, Mr JeffOstroff! Way to continue forward towards the Holidays!! -Bob...
Just make sure the price that you see on the shelf is the same as what you pay at the checkout. Home Depot had to pay out a huge settlement to settle a lawsuit in California.
Makita has an e-rebate through their website, buy their 36v self propelled mower w/ 4x 5Ah batts from authorized dealer and get free brushless blower, and get free brushless powerhead trimmer w/ batt & charger + 10" pole saw attachment.
so, to get a 5ah battery for $87.76 you have to buy a kit for $199 and then do a return hack and they will refund you the difference of $111.24 for the kit so you only pay $87.76 for the "free tool"? i mean, why not just sell the damn battery for $87.76 so we don't have to buy and return the kit? or have they closed the return hack loophole? 😄
Good stuff here Jeff, but WEAK, WEAK, on Makita’s part. Not even the 2 pack of 6.0 Ah batteries? The socket and bits set for $24.97 stands out here. Not overly impressed with any of the other stuff. Keep up the great sales info Jeff!

Some nice deals ty
Well, that starter kit comes with two 4ahm batteries, as opposed to last year that had 5 amps batteries. I think this year Im going for milwaukee.
Yeah, I saw that they were going with smaller batteries in these kits this year, but still a great deal. RYOBI did same at RYOBI days last summer
The prices surely seem elevated then price reduced to NORMAL selling worth...will pass thank you for showing. Appreciated.

That is good advice, you have to make sure you don't get ripped off.
Last year, even the starter kits come with a bag, the only decent deal are the top tools at the end of the video.
nice

That is a pretty good deal for the mower, but they do all these deals throughout the year. You can find similar deals during other holiday sales.
Tool deal overload!
My brain is saturated after doing all these videos
Holiday times are a great time to pick up good deals and to pickup gifts for friends
I seem to find better deals and more equipment I use on CPO and Acme tools than Home Depot. I don't find any of these deals a "steal".
Do a five minute Internet search and read the horror stories from those who've ordered from Acme.
Makita has never changed their setup ever. The same tools are on sale year after year. It's just sad.
You must work for Home Depot
Nope, I just like finding the best deals.

Hey Jeff if it wasn’t for you I would never save money when buying tools.
Boycotting Home Depot- thanks
Glad you didn't boycott me
That's a great IDEA , WE SHOULD BOYCOT HD for being a bunch of JA
Huh why boycott them? And what's JA
