Studying English News.
Since September 2023, I've been studying English news through the "귀트영“ program on EBS. I had tried to study English news before, but I couldn't stay consistent and eventually gave up. But this time, "귀트영” helped me establish a solid routine for studying English news.
Because English news includes complex content and vocabulary, preparation is essential. I listen to audio clips again and again, reading the news text as I listen. During the broadcast, I use Google Keep to take notes on the explanations from the two instructors. By organizing key words, synonyms, and antonyms, and summarizing articles, I gradually build my own vocabulary book.
Afterward, I read the English news aloud. I sometimes discuss the day's topic with my husband. Studying this way has made English news genuinely enjoyable. I'm able to improve my vocabulary without consciously trying to memorize words and phrases.
