Transfer portal, reviewing my recruiting class, position changes, encouraging transfers, offseason progression, and setting up the next years recruiting board is my favorite things to do in this game! I’m very excited to watch another of your offseason videos. Thanks for all you do Max!
Most underrated position change you made I think was the guy with 90 speed to DE. By the time he graduates with a billion sacks, we won’t even remember Dantu Gardner 😂
Georgia and ND again! Love the SOS that gives if you can beat both. We had a look at Jerry at QB. Now it looks like he might drop down the depth chart cuz of the new blood. Wow, what a change 1 video makes.
18:02 'i think mare is in trouble' After cuts looks at depth chart. Uhoh... looks like Jerry is in trouble. Mare and Bloom can redshirt which gives Jerry 1 year to be the guy, but one of those 2 are going to pull past him. Having Penny able to play multiple spots is the good kind of problem to have for a defense that likes to play different coverages and formations. Wragge is gonna be a problem next year. Carter would have been best served as an OB because you're thin on the weak side. Maybe Albright will move over next year, but he's not a pass rusher like you want in that position. Next year your RB room is gonna look legit. Right now you've got 3 dudes at 80, but next year you'll likely have 2 dudes above 84. I think you should mix in some Davis jet sweeps or wildcats, but otherwise play with those top 3. Sorry Davis. You were a bellcow, but we're talking POTENTIAL PLAYOFFS.
@@maxplayscfb it’s easier to find wrs with high speed and they usually have decent juke/spin. Just make sure they have over 75 ish carry. Just a diff strategy you seem to find solid rbs they just a little slow 😂 I have 2 rbs 94 speed and 99 speed that were wrs

Agreed with the cuts you made. No way you can let Thacker go after winning back to back Returner of the Year awards. Sadly defensive Davis had to go, I didn't hear his name called once last season. I'm super hyped for this season! Our defense should be TERRIFYING!
Awesome job with the video. Improved Off-Season over last year. Still have me nervous you signing 30+ and not evaluating need at positions. You can't move Ball State without a Conference Championship and a CFB appearance. I love how the athletes progress, especially as a developing school. Probably too late, but you could do a Depth Chart review after a few weeks/games and see if it is positioned right. Looking at the player card and Skill Caps (Joey 5* didn't improve - could be a bad roll of RNG or could have Caps - could have been on physical development side). If too many caps, move him to LB next year to see if they change some. Jamie Collins played at Safety at Southern Miss, then LB, then DE. Great NFL career. It happens (wish players gained weight/muscle).
Do you recommend always to aquire 35 players? I‘m now starting year 3 with FIU (they have great jerseys) and I had two good recruiting classes yet. But after this season only 15 seniors will leave my school, maybe 2 or 3 will leave in the transfer portal. So I‘m thinking about getting only about 20 new players this season, off course every 5 or 4 star I can get but then only 3 stars with the green diamond.
I dont know if it makes an impact, but when settings up a visit you should try to make the focus on their deal breaker. Seems like it would be more impactful
This game generates some STRANGE players from time to time. Bandy, the left tackle you (justifiably) cut, was 6'5" 290, 77 overall, but with *90* speed. Why? How? What kind of player was that guy supposed to be? Bonkers.
bruh HOW did i not see the 90 speed!!!! shoulda kept that dude as a situational RB, imagine seeing someone that massive with 90 speed running straight at you
Max I've had back to back first round draft Left Tackles at over 95 OVR .... They get smoked by Defensive Ends in big games regardless. Its just something EA HAS to change for their next game. I'm tired of having to ramp up Pass Blocking sliders to near max for common sense blocks. I recorded a clip of my AF season where my 90 OVR LG turns & immediately starts to block my 96 OVR LT on a pass that gets blown up before I had a chance to throw. What a great offseason though. I can smell an undefeated season coming 🤫
Bloom vs. Jerry is gonna be a real convo in the future ... I'm thinking Bloom with his Dev Trait wins it & you move Jerry to Wideout for certain plays where the WR can actually throw the ball for trick plays or do classic Jet Sweep/Touch Pass speed plays. Just a thought
Big 10 is a HUGE leap too ... I'd go Independent scheduling bigger & better guys without restriction to test that sort of Schedule Strength all year. Then jump Big 10 after "proving" your worth like a Notre Dame & securing chances of conference championships.
bring the transfers in for a visit in off season, and the competing schools will go down in interest and you can sign alot of the players you give up on, and you gotta scout the 3 stars tho, unless they transfers but I still do
I think Penny should start at LOLB instead of FS, the depth at LOLB is poor and I think with his speed and coverage skills as well as being a “run stopper” he would be a freak at that position! Edit: Then you could move that stud CB transfer Thomas over to FS, he’s got to be a 90+ overall there with his amazing zone coverage skills, and with his poor man coverage he might be a liability at CB.
yeah i agree, on the bright side with a Jamie Newcomb redshirt we should get him back as a redshirt junior next year so we should have 2 solid years of him. however your're right, the room is VERY light right now behind him
That fast TE is going to be a game breaker. I got a 94 speed and he breaks the game. 97 speed is crazy good, no linebacker can ever cover him.
The amount of TE seams after he redshirts is gonna be CRAZY
@@maxplayscfb sail vs single hi in gun trips te is also unfair. Technically that whole formation is unfair. 😂

Thank you for the kind words, glad you’re excited!!! Got a LOT to show yall in this one
Dang that 5 star safety you scouted at the end was a BALLER, 98 speed gem with 81 zone coverage! Gotta make him a priority! 👏
Most underrated position change you made I think was the guy with 90 speed to DE. By the time he graduates with a billion sacks, we won’t even remember Dantu Gardner 😂
Super pumped for Season 4! Waiting eagerly for Dantu Gardner's 2nd Heisman and sack record!
6’2” 240 at free safety is insane
More stars u have...More recruting hours and higher starting interest in recruits u get. Love da channel...Been labbing since day 1
Just FYI even if a 5* is a bust at worst he can be an Impact.
I’ve had 5* busts with Star Dev Trait before
Just had a class with 9 5* and 4 were normal dev and none were busts 😢
ABSOLUTE FIRE BRO!!!! WHAT A HAUL!!!!
Georgia and ND again! Love the SOS that gives if you can beat both.
We had a look at Jerry at QB. Now it looks like he might drop down the depth chart cuz of the new blood. Wow, what a change 1 video makes.
Yup, crazy how talented some of these new guys are!! Matt Penny is LEGIT!

Recruit 94+ speed WRs that can’t catch and move them to RB. I don’t even recruit RBs anymore
I second this
oh wow interesting, do you find it easier to find WRs than RBs?

@ben55jags you had less than 1 star team prestige?
@ yeah I was a bad school and did bad during the season and loss half a star but former head coaches as coordinators with recruiting upgrades
@@ben55jags can you share a screenshot? I've never seen a team with less than 1 star!

Hindsight 20/20! But if you would of done coaching upgrades before progression, you would of gotten a training boost for that position 😊

88 overall as a 2 star program is wild
Yeah where the heck is my star upgrade
Stars and coaching skills
Max , in the motivator trait go 3 on every position except special teams, also look into the Architect trait
I dig your breakdowns on CFB25. Do you host an online dynasty that we can join?

Oh man that would be WILD
Idea for scouting transfers: find what team they are on, and look at their roster.
Jeez why in the world did I not think of this sooner🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s genius

I agree with the penny thing BUT - my LOLB only plays 50% of snaps since we are in nickel so much
So he is gonna get more snaps at FS than at LOLB
@ Okay good point! Ultimately it’s up to you of course, just wanted to give you another perspective 👍 Thanks for the amazing content!
I got merriweather to transfer to My team in year 3 also💀💀
dude can PLAY!
Yeah, the more stars your school is the more hours you get to recruit.
Team prestige and recruiting hours in the pre-season/ weekly in-season as follows
1 Star 450/350
1.5 Stars 500/400
2 Stars 575/450
2.5 Stars 625/500
3 Stars 750/600
3.5 Stars 875/700
4 Stars 1,000/800
4.5 Stars 1,125/900
5 Stars 1,250/1,000
Never have a kid come over on a visit unless you have extra hours you don’t need.
WSP
build your coach up especially recruiter and your assistants should have recruiter to get more hours
Agree with this. Stacking coach abilities is the best way to get recruits locked in quicker.
Don’t recruit punters. Recruit 1 kicker and start him at both.
Yea Stars equal recruiting hours
Should have moved a WR or QB to HB … get some speed there
