USAT LIBERTY SHIPWRECK IN TULAMBEN BALI

- The Tulamben USAT Liberty Shipwreck is some of best scuba diving in Bali Indonesia. It's quite famous actually, the diving here is very unique. In very few places on this planet is there a wreck this big, or this close to the shore. The wreck acts as a pseudo coral reef, and attracts animals big and small to hide in it's crevices. The beautiful thing about the USAT Liberty wreck is that you can snorkel or free dive it. The bow is only a couple meters from the surface, and you can just walk in from the shore. Normally dive sites like this are far beneath the surface, way too deep for anything but scuba equipment.
It's a beautiful place, and totally worth checking out.

Yes is an awesome dive with generally good visibility and diverse marine life, and Tulamben as a location, is a great destination in Bali, a nice bit of coastline. Good photography in this video.

January 11, 1942 Japanese Submarine U-166 fired a torpedo into US Cargo Ship named Liberty Glo , was towed by USS Edsall and Dutch Navy Van Ghent to Bali shoreline to "beach it, keep it from sinking.. Torpedoed 10 miles SSW of Lombok Strait

I had my first dive there and I love it.. It was just an adventure dive but was amazing enough for me❤. My instructor didnt let me dive in the ship though, OK never mind, I bet he knew what was safe for me.. Lol

A wild adventure
Good to know that you can snorkel this wreck, as well. Will be in Bali in 2017, but don't know if I will be able to be PADI certified with some other commitments that I have next year.
+Weech's World it's a great investment. Time wise it's only a few days, but it is a little costly depending where you go. VERY worth it however. You won't be sorry if you get your cert.
