Same here I don't like bathtubs. Nice content dear... The sec to last house shock me o, how can toilet and kitchen share the same spot. N to top it all there is no door to at least shot the toilet 😂. But all the same few houses at chevron made sense tho but the budget is fire.
I was so disgusted with that second to last house. Felt so insulted 😩. And, yeah most of the houses in Chevron made sense.

Hello ! Greetings from Romania! I know Lagos is very expensive town . How much money / month I need to live in Calabar ( say me in US dollars) .To rent an apartament in a good area - 1 bedroom only - , for food , tv chanel , internet . I want a good life but not luxury .
I live in Lagos not Calabar but I'll say you need around 150k =$100 per month to live a really really good life. You could go as low as $50 if you cut back on some things and cook by yourself.
Monthly expenses
Food(cooking)= N90,000 $60 for foodstuff budget that'll last like 2months.
Food(ordering 2x/day)= N135,000 $90 in a month
Internet subscription(phone) N6,000 $4
Internet subscription(unlimited for home) N12,000-24,000 $8-16. Depends on provider
Cable tv subscription(Netflix) N6,000 $4
Electricity N15,000-30,000 $10-20 monthly depending on how many appliances you use e.g you'll need to recharge more if you run your AC 24/7, refrigerator, Tv, microwave, freezer etc.
To get a nice ensuite 1 bedroom with separate living room with visitor's restroom and sensible kitchen space, budget for N900,000 $600 for both rent and other fees (agency, agreement, commission and caution/maintenance fee).
Rent when paid runs for a year and not monthly. Water is usually supplied free from a borehole pumping machine in the compound from ground water. For electricity, you pay monthly or when it finishes by recharging your pre-paid meter card.
MAKE SURE YOU GET A HOUSE WITH SEPARATE PRE-PAID METER PER APARTMENT!!!! or you may end up paying the debt on the meter left by the previous tenant(s) if it's a POST-PAID meter.
Also make sure you have money to fully furnish the apartment (mattresses, sofa set, fridge, washing machine, gas cooker and cylinder, fans, AC's, TV, speakers etc) by setting aside another 1.5m N1,500,000 $1000.
Check www.jiji.ng for the most reasonable prices for what you want to buy. Only make payment for pay on delivery or where the vendor doesn't agree, go to the store address and pick up personally.
Check www.propertycenter.com for affordable apartments in Calabar and for trusted agents to finalize with when looking for a place.
