Perkins T6.354 Range 4 Overhaul. Workboat engine Before and after Rebuild

I needed a workboat so I bought an old fishing boat with an old Perkins 6.354 turboengine. It was in need of an overhaul after about 10500 hours runtime, with oil and fuel leaks and quite substantial blowby . I used it as it was for what was left of the season and took it in to my workshop next winter. I wasn't planning of making any video of the rebuild back then, so the process is covered with just a couple of photos. What you can see in the video is the engine running before and after the rebuild and a clip of me heading to work with the reinstalled engine.

Hi, no specific kit used. I ordered all the parts I needed from UK. There was some special tools for the job but they are virtually impossible to find so I had to make them in my workshop. The service manual is a must of course. It gives you the wear limits and other instructions, part numbers etc.
Good reliable engine, definitely worth overhauling.
