Why should a man who has been helped by extended family to his adult life and acquires property, and you bring a bill that takes away the extended family and give almost everything to his wife? And always it's the women who benefit! I don't think this bill is fair enough.

I believe the law says 'surviving spouse' and from the little I know about English language, the word 'spouse' can be male or female not necessarily restricted to wife

NKWASEAFO, how can a man gets married with kids, acquire properties while married and when he dies his extended family members get some of that property when they are not his immediate family? What about all the losses incurred as a result of the ex wife's stupidity. Why should she inherit anything seeing her role in a marriage was destruction rather than building up.
