Damage inc is by far hands down the best tribute band around!!.These guys are real class act down to earth no rockstar bullshit badass dudes. Never a disappointment seeing them live. It's a honor to share the stage with you guys everytime 101proof pantera tribute played with you. All the guys and the whole crew especially is super fun to be around and I look up to you guys a lot. They are what every tribute band should look up to in this game. They did there homework and they deserve to be recognized. Im defiantly a damageinc lifer. CHEERS TO YOU GUYS!! When the actual band that wrote the song says they are working up to being able to play it live but a cover band has already absolutely killed it live.
I know it was out of your control but I can't get over how everything on the drums are mixed wonderfully, and then there's there's the nearly inaudible tennis ball kick drum sound. Good performance though.
What I'm scared of is Metallica playing this live, but James doesn't sing all of the lyrics. I saw a tuning room practise where he sang the first and Rob the second. For me that takes a lot of the vibe of the song away, bc James' singing is so great on that song. Also Im afraid of Lars messing up live, but I know for sure that's gonna happen. The band themselves really should see this video when it comes to them learning it for live performance. The distribution of the guitar parts is exactly how Metallica should do it. Such a spot on cover!
I have a feeling this will sound better than any live version that Metallica does. The guitar and bass tone first of all sound much closer to the album than Metallica's current live tone. This is in E standard, where Metallica's version will surely be Eb (seen them practicing it already in Eb). And this band's singer doesn't do 200 shows a year for 30+ years........so of course he'll sound closer to the album version of James

Only complaint is he just doesn't have too much stage presence. Give the crowd the Het face, head bangs, stance, something that keeps it interesting to watch as a singer-guitarist that's stuck at the mic, it's needed.
