Jane is so hilarious-- "so I can really watch what's happening with your back and your neck and your head, so-- and your legs! and your arms. SO, as unselfconsciously as possible..."@23:44 --and so lovely. This video is a treat!
This is an amAzing gift to humanity, Renan! Thank you for posting this. My entire Life I've been naturally very aware of this type of observation, and I was fortunate enough to be at the right place, at the right time to be invited to and Alexander Technique class without my planning for it. The mindfulness, in correlation to the posture was deeply attractive to me due to my personal devotion to them since childhood. It is a valuable tool for the unification between the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical bodies that we are dealing with as human beings. Again, my gratitude to you, William Hurt and Jane Kosminsky for making this information readily available to the public as not all have the financial means to be able to afford these classes.
Hurray! I took theatre classes many years ago, but Alexander Technique was the one class I really wanted to take but never got a chance to. Over the years, I've avoided it because before videos you had to go to a studio for this. Thanks!
I love how her voice keeps on going between being very soft and gentle to all over sudden, shouty and aggressive! Aaaaand then back to being soft. Keeps on catching me off guard. :D
I find her jestures and mannerisms gentle as one would expect from one who was trained in classical dance. It Appears that proper poster is important for graceful movement are beneficial to the body and promotes health in movement. I also fine her body language gentle an attractive. Many thanks DJY.
Great post thanks you so much, Renan. She is a wonderful and very 'together' teacher. And the 'star', the lovely Mr William Hurt makes this video very watchable and effective. I am sharing it with my yoga class.
I'm assuming you've never had a physical problem that has been helped by any of this. I have had problems w/ my neck for years, just sleeping in an awkward position would cause me to wake up w/ pinched nerves and severe shooting pain in my neck. Often I couldn't even turn it. Nothing helped, and it would last for days on end. Finally, my grandmother convinced me to go to her chiropractor, who was able to "pop" my vertebrae back into place, relieving the pain INSTANTLY. Rather than constantly having to pop pain pills, or consider surgery, whenever this reoccurred, I would visit my chiropractor, and once the bones were moved back into place, the pain would end immediately. For me, and many others I know, chiropractic makes a REAL difference. I don't know anything about reflexology, but as far as AT, good posture and movement never hurt anybody.
I really enjoyed this. I live in France and my teacher teaches in French so I found this very helpful. i have another eight lessons to go on my original commitment. Thank you for doing this.
I took voice lessons from several people. One used imagery. Some people are not interested in ideas and creativity. The Alexander Technique is physics and creativity. Some people do not understand either. I like the Alexander Technique.
This seems like some bullshit to get people to have good posture but she is good at explaining it like it actually makes sense, some other videos I have seen of this shit makes absolutely no sense
no one mentioned "Thanks Dandypanty" in the video description? no one? these comments are a riot. and i also do appreciate the video, which does have some interesting info. Thanks Dandypanty. :)
unsinkableheart Dandypanty is someone who commented the time stamps for the different sections of the video. The OP used that info in the description, pinned that comment, and thanked the commenter.

Good chemistry 😘
Dandypanty very good that you itemised times, although i am not sure if the sequence is important, does anyone.?
Hi, I'm actor, Troy McClure. You may remember me from such films as...
RIP William Hurt. Used to watch this to fall asleep. Came back in remembrance.
We all know why we're back here.
RIP Mr Hurt, may your neck be forever free
Oh my God, he died? Did I know this and forgot? RIP.
She’s no Diana Devitt-Dawson but I still think she’s cool
Or the law courts...hehe
EXACTLY!!!!
What she lacks in ASMR she more than compensates for in teaching ability. On that score, DDD was all over the place.
Effort-less!😄
As long as she allows the neck to be free.
William Hurt needs to have a serious conversation with his agent.
for real
This was from 2007 FYI. And he’s always been an oddball, in fact most actors are, but him exceptionally so lol
She sounds like such a calm person and then comes out the yvie oddly laugh, scared the hell outta me
Sing until your voice hurts, dance until your feet hurt, act until you're William Hurt.
Love William Hurt. Amazing he put in the time to share his practice. He must really believe in it in his profession.
Well...never thought this would be the last thing I would watch with William Hurt in it.
Shit... I didn't know until I read your comment.
@@Xspurr He died like he lived. Unremarkable but professional.
Rest In Peace William Hurt
RIP William Hurt. Hope you're helping the angels with their posture.
I dunno HOW da hell I got here...but this seriously looks like Scientology for people with sitting problems...🤔
LMAO
This did nothing to teach me how to conquer Persia...
Gold
Just Some Guy Ok, underrated af
Now you can conquer Persia with a free neck.
Lol
Best comment, or best comment ever?
Thank you so much for this. I borrowed this dvd from my library 23 years ago and am so happy to have found it again
This is so weirdly awkward but I can't stop watching.
That's just William Hurt.
William Hurt is a complete and total boss.
Pardon my sandwich breath, but this is a great video.

How is it possible that I get this joke?!
@@chanceowen5424 I thought exactly the same!
Yes just yes
She has such a suttle charisma to her and great Allure. I will be practicing Alexander.

God the intro is like a horror movie
Good asmr here
My God what an uniquely beautiful and elegant woman she is. WOW

I love her! lol She´s so funny and has a beautiful voice and speaking tone.

Lol I guess
Thanks Mr. William Hurt & Mrs.Jane Kosminsky for the great work.
Beautiful introduction! I have the privilege to witness how it performs. It's magical.
That laugh is the last thing her victims hear as she breaks their neck. All in the name of The Alexander Technique
I love love love William Hurt ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Shocked at comments. This is a seriously beneficial process. I'm sorry for those of you who fail to allow yourself the experience.
I keep hoping that one day when they say to "let your head be free" that the person's head will fall off.
🤣
20:22 the relaxation of the back and neck to produce a bass voice is exactly what i lack. thanks to whoever uploaded this 6 years ago 🙏🏽
I love seeing you pop up in random videos
Surprised to see you here. Love your channel!

"the brief, exciting trip we will take today ..."
I'd love to see Hurt show her the Sensory Deprivation Tank technique from Altered States.
Does anyone else feel like this is some weird, secret cult and Alexander was the cult leader
Cate Trenholm Svendsen Send me $1000 and I can tell you exactly how this will transform your life.
Cate Trenholm Svendsen He does have the "drink the cool aid" vibe.
Marc Mathews Only after you sign your estate over.
Yeah. And I bet Alexander wears a Slanket.
Cate Trenholm Svendsen Yeah, the way they talk about him you'd think he cured cancer.
Anyone else feel like their phasing in and out of existence while trying this?
24:02 such an elegant laugh
😂😂
I love how her voice keeps on going between being very soft and gentle to all over sudden, shouty and aggressive! Aaaaand then back to being soft.
Keeps on catching me off guard. :D
The sexual tension between these two folks is through the roof!
This is very relaxing to my cat. ASMR works really well for her to relax and sleep.
Blink twice in quick succession if you're under duress, William.
1000 thanks for sharing, fantastic tool! As a drummer this is gold worth.

I guess this is what thunderbolt Ross did during the 5 years in endgame.

William Hurt, before he became the man who hunted down the hill and broke up the Avengers.
*Sits up straight “Right, that’s the Alexander technique!”
The most important lessons in life are always the simplest.
Dunno, this whole video gives me the 'Get out/ The invitation (watch these movies to get the gist)' vibe. Both of them seem possessed.
Absolutely
It was very nice of John Hurt to take time out of his busy schedule for this video.
Patti Lupone I love your work!
Love William Hurt, and a big fan of the Alexander method.
1:45 I don't know why, but I absolutely love that look on Jane's face. She looks like a Disney villain whose evil plot just came to fuition. XD
