Impressive that you monitor everything outside in the freezing temperatures! I would run a wifi extender to your cabin and watch the subs come in next to that lovely warm fire of yours 😀
Fantastiskt som vanligt att få följa dina nattliga äventyr. Kvaliteten är som vanligt grymt bra. Får ens egna vintergatanbilder att blekna😃🙏 hatten av.
Hello David, I have been remiss in keeping up but glad to see you are having success with the new scope and mono camera! Our weather has been limiting with clouds and we got our first snowfall and lots of it. As yourself, looking forward to the dark nights for some astro imaging. Hope you haven't been having too many issues with the collimation, would be good to know if there is much to adjust with the change in temperatures. Thanks again for sharing.
Welcome back Gregory! Then you have some new videos to check out! :) The weather has been quite bad here as well with snow-rain-snow-rain for a month. I looking forward to genuine winter! Collimation has actually not been a big issue. It's easy to check with the laser and chesire. I use to adjust the secondary a little bit before shooting. The few times I have used the scope I have tried to bring it out 1-2 hours before start shooting. Coldest so far has been around -15°C and it was no problem. It will be interesting to see what happening when the the temp goes below -20-25°.
Very enjoyable video. Living in Montana, I can sorta relate to your colder imaging sessions. It makes things a little tougher, but it also makes things easier! Looks like you have a nice little set-up there with the cabin by the lake. Not super dark skies, but a lot safer for you when it gets extremely cold.
You are getting spoiled with that fire! It's going to be difficult to go out on your astro-skiing trip and camp out 😮. I am glad you fixed your focuser issue. Just one recommendation I would make. Be careful in which direction you exhale...at one point you breathed directly into the front glass piece (5:50). That's instant problem in a cold climate...🤔
Yes there is a risk I gets spoiled by the warmth from the fire! Have to get out on a remote adventure soon so I get the benefit of freezing a bit! 😅 Thanks for the advice, I have done it already! And I think I have to exhale on the front lens a couple of more times before I learn not to! 😀
Great to see you back David That’s an awesome new setup you have there! Will be interested to see your narrow band images with this new camera and filters. If they’re anything like your OSC, they’ll be amazing!👍
Beautiful image David. I have a OSC camera (2600 MC Pro) and am thinking about getting an L-Extreme filter. Would make some nebulas from my Bortle 2 skies amazing. Have you ever used the meridian flip feature in the asi air pro to automatically do the flip and restart the auto guiding and imaging? I haven’t had to do a meridian flip yet with the targets I’ve imaged but I am curious how well that automation would work. Love your drone shots of the lake near Boden!
Thank you! Last time I tried the meridian flip auto function in the asi air, it did not work so smooth. It didn't find the object after the flip. I don't know why. Since I use to do it manually, but it was in March or something I tried the auto so next time I think I will try the auto function. When I stopped for doing the flip this night, the tube was extremely close to the mount though.
No, I thought of that but it seems to work anyway, I secure it in between of the original counterweights. There is probably a small movement during a session but it does not seem to affect the shooting. But I will probably fix that later anyway (or buy an original counterweight).

Thanks but this night it was not that warm. I'm longing for -20°-25° :)
That H alpha brings out so much. Great start!
Thanks! Yes certainly! The moonlight was so strong this night so I was a bit surprised when I saw the result! Will be very fun to explore narrowband!

Tack så mycket! Dina vintergatanbilder är grymt fina också!
@@NorthernPanorama så liten så😉
Men tusen tack. När det kommer från dig så blir jag extra glad😃
Nice scope David looking forward to some spectacular images.
Thank you! I hope so too! It's a quite big step from my ED80 refractor!

Looks great! Narrowband... especially Ha always looks good. This is a great target for it too. I shot it in narrowband a couple of months ago.
Thank you! Agree! It's very fun to start shoot narrowband and makes it more possible to shoot during moonlight also.

Thank you! I will have this cabin as a base, but when it's really good conditions I will also get out to bottle 1-2 places and shoot LRGB!
I really enjoy all your videos. Thanks for making them
Thanks for watching! Without all of you wievers and all your comments, it would not been so fun to do the videos!

Day or night, that is an awesome location.
Hello, another great video and beatiful landscape. Do you like using mak-newton?
Thanks! Yes I enjoy it, besides the focuser, but this time I didn't got elongated stars so I hope I solved that problem!
Perfect 👌
Thank you! I'm pleased with the result! Will be interesting to combine it with more narrowband data later!
Great to see you back David

Thanks! I'm excited myself! Not at least the narrowband makes it possible to shoot even in moonlight! Very fun to evolve and learn something new!

Did you use some sort of adapter to fit the barbell weight on your counterweight rod? The hole in those weights is much bigger than the rod is.

Awesome shot! Your music choice is amazing. Really enjoy your videos :) do you have an instagram for your work?
Thank you! I like the music too. 😀 My insta is #northernpanorama there is some various stuff there, besides astrophotography!
Dave are u eating? Where’s the Sausages and Beer ?? … Sending warmth from the Bronx NY
😂 I promise to include more sausages later! An astrophotography video from Swedish Lapland without sausages!? What was I thinking about! 😅
Shouldn’t on your asiair under iPhone info have a longitude of E?
Yes you are right.. those numbers at 16:40 looks strange.. Can't really tell why right now..
