I'm Osage and my great-great-grandfather, Joseph Bates, was one of the ones killed in the Reign of Terror. He was poisoned by William Hale, who is being portrayed by Robert De Niro. We had the privilege of seeing this film back in July. Lily Gladstone steals the show with her performance. Everyone did a fantastic job in all the roles but Lily is the one in this film. Being Osage, the film was very hard to watch. But, this story was never told in our history books and now it's finally being told. John Rocha, I have followed you for a long time and I am glad for your reaction to this trailer. I grew up in the town where most of the murders happened, Fairfax, Ok. I was an extra in the film and during filming, some of the locations were just so surreal to be in them. The house explosion scene took place almost in the same area of which it actually occurred. That location was two blocks from where I grew up. The film is fantastic and hope everyone enjoys it.
Definitely hard to watch. My great grandmother was Navajo, and we still have relatives who are full Native American. I want this film to do well financially because that means people see the horror our country's history, but If it's real as emotional as the trailer, I'll wait for home release, its heartbreaking.

I hope this really delivers the goods and gives Oppenheimer a run for its money in the Oscars race. The underlying themes of corruption and betrayal is perfect as a paradox for what is happening in our reality. Now, I understand my Native American friends more when they share stories or accounts of their own struggles with a range of compassion and willingness to learn from them.
I'm an Osage from Grayhorse. These are our relatives that dies. The scene where Lily screams in the basement, the little girl on the nannys lap is my cousin. Their reactions are real. Mollie, the lead character and ernest (Leo) wife, her mom and all 3 sisters were murdered. After the house explosion, shes the only one left of her family.....thank you for reacting. Very nervous and anxious for this to come out for myself and my tribe and my home. I suggest watching their interview the day after if premiered in Cannes. All the emotions....they should all win awards for this film. Cant wait for you all to watch it. ❤

This movie is going to be beyond incredible & powerful, i expect this masterpiece to sweep up every oscar coming it way, i will be there on its opening night can't wait for this story to be told. 🔥
My great grandmother was Native American (not Osage) but its heartbreakingly true about greed. Many othe tribes were slaughtered or imprisoned for their homeland.Some willingly gave it up to avoid what happened to the Osage people. America (like many other countries) has an an ugly, murderous history, However its one of the few that actively try to avoid acknowledging it

The largest daily newspaper in Finland published their review of this after their critic saw it at Cannes. Called it a good movie but not Scorsese's best. Also, the movie focuses more on DiCaprio's character than on how the events affected the native Americans that were being killed. The critique was that it seems to ignore the impact it had on them.
Hard pass.. I'm sick of Movies that aren't entertaining and have a political and social message, ATTEMPTING to make me feel guilty about this or that. I would rather have fun being entertained, not preached to with Movies with an agenda - message.. I have better things to do with my time on this Earth than to be saddled with someone else's guilt trip pushed on me.

Being a Maliseet Native American, this trailer hits hard. This movie is gonna be so good, and probably so difficult to watch.

DiCaprio looks incredible. This is the best and most intense trailer I've seen in a long time.
