    *Great product. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I have never used a baitcaster before and did a lot of research before buying this one. I bought it with the Torrent casting rod as well and it works very nice.*

    Great vid. I subscribed because of it. Best instruction I've seen on the basics and I'm sure there's benefit there for all experience levels. It's like having a personal fishing coach.
    Thanks again. :o)

      +Steven Bass throw that black max away they are garbage and buy a good quality revo sx or better.

    Best fishing chanel ever.
    I am struggling mightily with my new baitcaster. I can cast a mile with spinning gear, for some reason when using the baitcaster especially when casting overhead, it's like the lure doesn't travel out but rather shoots down. If I release earlier than it seems to travel up but not out into the distance. Very frustrating.

    Why are you giving casting lessons when you have to switch hands after you've made your cast except for your pitch and flip. You would be much more efficient learning how to cast with your left hand. Just a suggestion. Not trying to be disrespectful.

    Now that you are becoming bigger on youtube, can you please go back and make this video again but break it into individual sections. Each cast + bait = 5 minute video explaining? Repeating several times in each video.

    I can honestly say that I am a better fisherman because of your videos! Every time I watch a new one I get more great info(and I have to buy more gear!). If I meet someone new to fishing, I send them straight to your website/TH-cam channel as well. And I'm gonna pick up some planer boards and some wiggle hoochies for trolling!

    The big whipping side arm cast is the first thing I learned because it goes far and is easy not to backlash, so is fun for a beginner. I guess it can be used in a lake when you are trying to cast past a school of fish that you are hanging back from.

  • @robertbrandywine
    @robertbrandywine ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you see any need for the one handed Japanese overhead cast, where the spool is placed vertically and the back of the hand is parallel to the water so the wrist can snap back and then forward?

    Nick, I'm kinda stuck between a couple of casting rods and reels and I don't know which one to choose. The rods that I am looking at are the Cousins Tackle IM-8 Casting Rod, and the irod Genesis II, both in 7' Medium Heavy. The reels are the Lew's Speed Spool LFS series reel, and the Shimano Casitas 150 reel. Is there any suggestion you can give because I don't want to buy a rod or reel that doesn't fit me.

    Hi Nick! With great interest looked your videos. We in Russia, unfortunately, is not a popular baitcasting reel and information technology use very little, almost none. I'm trying to master the baitcasting tackle and your videos help me in this. Do you think that fishing for bass and Northern pike are very different? Thanks for the videos! And as they say in Russia - no tail, no scales! ;)

Most all these type casting techniques in this video are well beyond my skill level , but it sure gives me something to shoot for. Next time out I'm going to practice the skipping technique. Thanks again man for such an awesome video!
