Here's Ana Vidovic playing the first movement - Allemande - for an arrangement for classical guitar from the "Partita in A minor for solo flute, BWV 1013" written by Johann Sebastian Bach. Ana plays this beautifully on a 2019 Richard Reynoso classical guitar with spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

What a joy to hear Vidovic playing on something other than a redgate. Reynoso in particular seems to be a marvelous luthier.
You can almost hear that guitar breathing - it has so much life to it! Of course, the right hands help it reach it's full potential
She is such a phenomenal player, one of my all-time favorites! I hope GSI can record more performances by her in the near future - I appreciate the quality of the recordings and find them more intimate than recordings from concert performances.

The way she delays the notes from 0:22 to 0:26 really satisfy me as a bach intusiast. She does it and much more playing this piece. What a privilege to access this performance.

Try something simpler to start. Some sort études dont take long to learn and make you appreciate the beautiful simplicity regarding a lot of guitar music

Agreed! Without being an expert, even I start recognising these nasally sounding guitars - which almost always turn out to be Lattice guitars, like her usual Redgate.
@@benelauer Don't be fooled into thinking that all lattice guitars sound nasally (normally Australian school of guitar building). I've just purchased a very traditionally Italian but lattice braced guitar that I never knew was lattice until the maker told me, it just sounded louder and maybe a bit less sweet than a fan guitar but with a lot more separation in the voices between each string.
The trebles are really sweet on this guitar.
It seems that the great artist who is Ana Vidovic is more confortable with this instrument. The power of the instrument she plays usually looks artificial.

This a highly sensitive performance of Bach's partita BWV 1013 Allemande. Usually played on flute (which should be prohibited by international law), some rare decent recordings on violoncello. In my view, this masterpiece goes best on a genuine polyphonic instrument in the hands of Ana Vidovic. World class.

She always finds a way to rearrange the melodies to use as few open strings as possible. It's a huge undertaking but gives the most consistent tone.

Her guitar isn't a cedar double top. It's a Jim Redgate lattice braces guitar. And, Ana sounds incredible playing any guitar
