This is an exciting and interesting video to find the source of stone cuttings in this vast jungle w Mayan ruins. The isolation, dense jungle and dangers you encounter to find LA Corona makes us wonder how the Mayans even survived or even picked where they built cities. The harsh environment is not a recent thing but must have been present hundreds of years ago as well. Frustration from looters who damage artifacts and remove their context is apparent. It is an arduous and difficult journey to find and study any of these ruins.
I enjoy your channel, but could you please start including original air date in the description? A lot changes in archeology over time, and if we know this is perhaps 30 years old then we can look up current information if we're so inclined. Thank you.
Your name sounds like me lol and I couldn't agree more that the older world is far greater than todays world but as far as looting its a way of life and a means to live because you can't blame the looters when there is so many people willing to pay large for items so if the government or museums want something they should have to pay like everyone else besides places like Britain where you are not allowed to keep anything you find it has to be handed in so I believe that they have lost a lot of their history to the highest bidder which is a shame but people have to eat and put their kids through school, just saying. Cheers
You answered your own question. You have to go undercover and act like you’re a looter! And then you’ll find out who’s doing it and where they’re getting it. And then you can explore it the right way.❤
looters? What's a looter?? A individual gets his hands on a piece from the past, how come he shouldn't take the highest buyer?? That's what they gonna do put it in some museum in a glass octagon and charge people to pay to see it!!
Its stolen cultural treasure they can not authorize jack. Come on your in possession of stolen artifacts and plan on giving it back or establishing liscencing for possession. Its stolen period.

Pro tip: Lidar. Lots of Lidar
Looters have destroyed history. The old world was far greater than today's modern world

Just imagine what's right up under the very streets we live on!!
The parrots were red fronted macaws. Fairly rare and they can hover. Cliff dwellers usually.

Oh come on they really don't want anybody to see it because when it shows up on the black market it'll lead right back to them . Safekeeping my ass .
Shouldn't a patient child with the Google earth app be able to find it?
... for her mosquito bites, rub cane sugar and spit on the bite and the itch will go away...
