It’s great fun! I’m so glad it’s still around, internet coverage has definitely helped it! It’s not my fave place to stay overnight but it’s fine, and the lounge is great fun.
So many neat things in this video!!! Loved the moose bathing 😂 so adorable! The Sip and Dip Lounge is so cool!! The mermaid was awesome. ^_^ Thanks for another great video, Jacob! Be safe out there! :)
Two people in two booths the Priest opens the sliding door on one side hears a confession then opens the sliding window actually on the other side . You can not hear each other. It is indeed a beautiful iconic Mission Church!!!
Somebody at Discovery Channel should create a new show with you as the host. The ‘Eum Rule. You’re so right about the fascinating finds in small town museums.
Oh MY god, Jacob... I'm from Great Falls. That fishbowl has four straws for a reason!! Hahahaha. You crack me up. Glad you enjoyed it here! That moose footage was absolutely stunning, by the way. Great shot!!!
Jacob, you are so close to reaching 500k subscribers. Only 1 year ago, when I subscribed, you were 25k away from this milestone. You have earned when it happens hopefully sometimes this week.
I'm fairly certain that moose eat the algae and moss that grows in the water. You could see it hanging from his head, and he was munching on it. That's why he went underwater. What a cool thing to see.
The Liberty Bell silver dollar was minted especially for the Bicentennial. Also, most of the more recent silver dollars (with the exception of some special issues) aren't actually silver and are worth far less than $100 each.
Hey, Carpetbagger! Cool to see you're in my old hometown. If you're headed south down to Helena, make a stop at the Great Falls Airport to see the Poletto Collection. It's one of the largest plastic model collections in the world, and it's free. I remember going up there a lot when I was a kid.
Another bag full of goodness. Idaho has or had the largest inland navy so it kinda makes sense to find a mermaid there. The random highway moose was fun, amazing you seen it while driving. Thank you so much for letting us tag along, and please don't burn yourself out and stay safe my friend
🏆 America's Best Vlogger Jacob this was a fascinating adventure. You make the mighty Northwest so fun. Thanks for your hard work and sacrifices . I'm finally joining your postcard adventures today
Welcome to great Falls! If you're ever in the area again I highly recommend going to Havre, an hour and a half away. There's 'Havre Under the Streets', it's an underground museum that features a whorehouse, opium den, bank, butcher, etc. It's cool as hell.
Wow, the mountains of Idaho and western Montana are sure beautiful! Loved the driving footage. Being a mermaid seems like a TOUGH job. You must have to really love it to want to do that for a living. Of course, I HATE having my face underwater, and even snorkeling would be a personal nightmare for me, so the idea of becoming a mermaid sounds more awful to me than it probably does to other people, lol.
The anthropomorphic chef hat is so apathetic. He looks like if you put him on you'd get ratatouille'd but he'd only make items from the Dennys menu circa 1993 with about 70% accuracy.
"Inspired" Artist: Jason Sanchez Location: Woody McEvers Skate Park The monument entitled "Inspired" stands 36 foot 9 inches in height. The two main columns of water represent Lake Coeur d'Alene and the Spokane River. The heart represents the people of Coeur d'Alene. Cut into the heart on opposing sides are excerpts from the Idaho State Constitution and the United States Bill of Rights. The Heart lights from the inside from dusk until dawn.
Thanks for this! I knew "coeur" was French for "heart," and I was pretty sure there was a body of water involved with the name of Coeur D'Alene, but I'm too lazy to research the statue myself, lol.
Say it's Kay, I'm going to correct your post, not because you did anything wrong, but because whoever wrote the description on Coeur d'Alenes website is incorrect. The 1st 10 amendments to the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights. The rest are just amendments, and as Jacob stated it was the 14th amendment, which he erroneously said article, it's definitely not part of the original 10 Bill of Rights.
A great video, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍👍 I wish you safe travels, Jacob! I'm fatally allergic to seafood/shellfish, shrimp, lobster, etc. I have the highest allergic reaction to that food. I mention that because you ate shrimp at the sip and dip lounge.
I had that exact same canteen at 16:49 from when I was in the Cub Scouts a thousand years ago. Took it camping many, many times. Good memories. I do think ink that, by the time this year is over , you'll have a thousand dollars worth of pressed pennies.😂 Also, a Random Swimming Moose, which I do believe would be an excellent name for a band.
@@RikFTK Sorry, I didn't see your comment until just now. TH-cam is weird. I was actually thinking a speed metal band that exclusively does Barry Mannilow covers, but you have a good idea too.
You're finally in my neck of the woods! There's another really cool tour up in Havre, MT called "Havre beneath the streets" about 2 hours north of Great Falls I think you'd enjoy!
I’ve heard that tour is great! I must admit, it’s been a decade or so since my last trip up there. I’m a historian in Billings, but I’ve been delving into some great stories from the central hi-line. One of my friend’s sons just got married & they have decided to stay up there even when they graduate in ‘25, maybe I should tag along when she visits. I think Havre has the only underground tour in Montana?
@montananerd8244 It is definitely worth the adventure! It's been fixed up and all sorts of cool artifacts are in the rooms and everything. The entire hi-line is worth the adventure with the dinosaur trail and museums!
I just went to Preston, ID this summer to see the Napoleon Dynamite film sites 😆 I haven’t been this far up in Idaho, it looks beautiful, definitely on my bucket list. Also never been to Montana, will have to visit there also. I am excited for the new stuff in your Etsy shop!
It's so funny seeing someone visit where I live. That pawn shop at 34:19 is where I bought a lot of my xbox games as a kid and to the right across the street is where I went to preschool
A two sided confession box was an Italian design.. You are right In the thinking of time saving once one person had confessed the priest would simply close one door and open the other side to see If there was another person waiting.. XXX
Great Videos. you do a great job of presentation. Remember the Cow Barns at the state fairs. I am sure the ones your going to will have some great Herefords. Love to see the best in cows.

It's very interesting to find mermaids at lounges. The only other I know is Weeki Wachee Mermaid Show in Spring Hill, FL. Hope you have a great time Jacob! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video Jacob! I used to live in Great Falls and I have been to that Sip N Dip bar many times! Sadly there was a legend of a lady known as Piano Pat she sang for that bar for years! She passed away a few years ago, I was lucky to have seen her a few times. They do have a new piano player now, but I didn’t hear music in this video so maybe you were there on a night they don’t play. Anyway great adventure, and Wallace Idaho is a great little town! It’s where they filmed “Dante’s Peak” years ago
