Glad I found your video. Your way of getting those pins in looks way easier than what I was doing. On my way right now to get 2” bolt. Thanks for the video
It’s suppose to face up. That’s another way to fuck the pins up again. People shouldn’t be working on them trucks. I’ve had a truck come into the dealership with the pins fucked up and the cam adjuster facing down which is the wrong orientation.
Interesting that you replaced the kit that was already on the truck as it had the positive stops and replaced those with the open slotted type. Most guys are doing the opposite of what you did and going to the positive stop kits.
The ones that I had where round hold for the bolt, the bolt could rotate inside pulling the truck out of alignment. The good ones have a flat side on the hole to match the bolt so it doesn’t rotate on its own. This is what the local shop sold so I grabbed them
I had those kryptonite ones on for about a year until I went over to the Dirt King locking alignment cams. Much better and alignment finally stays in place. My truck is not a street truck and gets driven hard offroad living in the desert.
@@Cruff16it’s because you use the ones with the groove and flat bolt to get your truck aligned. Then once aligned, you mark, pull off and mark the bolt hold that lines up with the mark. Then you install the ones with holes on the alignment pin and lock it down. You can also use the ones with holes to align but it’s much harder, however the ones with the holes and round bolt are the better alignment tabs vs the flat bolt.
Came here for Pin install. Great idea with the nut and bolt setup!
I seen another video where a guy used a small socket and a vice grip

Did you ever make an alignment video?
I never did, ran out of time and got busy with work sorry
What vehicle is this
2003 gmc sierra 2500
Where is the alignment video?
Thanks for sharing
I don't think I have a bolt that would fit so perfectly. I'm about to smack them with an air hammer. Hope I don't regret it.
Take a look at your brake rotors. Going down the road safely huh ?
They’ve been replaced too! Always something
