@@oodrummingyeah, with Maladapted talking about stopping overthinking and letting it go Previous song pretty much says "fuck it, it's already fire, we don't need to spend time figuring out an outro"
Had very high expectations for this album and truly glad yet unsurprised that they were met Half of the songs have some of the most enjoyable choruses I've ever heard
Little Song is probably one of my favorite HTS songs now, I totally overlooked it the first couple times I listened to the album, but my god is it amazing. The guitars and the choruses are euphoric
when I first discovered hail the sun, it was a breath of fresh air. their chaotic transitions, insane riffs, drumming, everything. With wake, whatever process they chose, that album is so powerful. In their progression it seems they’ve steered away from the progression and went more into a more basic approach of song writing. Which honestly bums me out a bit. I know bands grow and change, but what I fell in love with was the chaos they had. These newer songs don’t jump out with creativity. I’m not sure if they’re just getting uninspired or what. With new age filth, they really did a good job with making sure that album was packed with every aspect of their strengths. this new record didn’t impress me at all. still a great record, a lot of great songs, but i’m hoping for progression going forward. They’re one of my favorite bands so as long as they’re making music, i’ll be happy regardless
My take on Feeble Words is that communication is often difficult and misleading, but empathy is always honest. If words are too feeble to explain how you feel, then make me _feel_ how you feel and I won't be able to twist your words or misunderstand them. More empathy would ease so many tensions in the world, making this the perfect counterpoint for an album all about internal and external tension. Musically, this is probably the simplest and least innovative of Hail the Sun's ballads, yet it has become my favorite. Rather than blow my mind with crazy song writing, it just makes me feel something genuine and resonating. I've longed for the world to turn toward empathy for such a long time but it seems to only grow more distant...
Nice video man, saw them live in Camden NJ a little over a week ago, and honestly it was the best live show I've seen yet. These guys are amazing, and the new album is sick imo.
I came in with the suspicion that this wasn't going to satisfy nearly as well as New Age Filth did. But listening to 60-Second Session Blocks changed my mind. It made me realize that Donovan has opened a new route with his melodies. I'm only 4 tracks in- but already, I have noticed several points where he has taken his more melodic vocal runs, and shifted them into ranges that I was not at all expecting. Always caught by surprise with HTS... These guys are the epitome of an unconventional virtuoso band. 👌 And the outros! The damn *O U T R O S* 😩
There another band called lift the cruse that’s very similar to this band hail the sun an lift the curse just dropped a new album a few weeks ago I highly suggest you check them out to bro love your videos an reactions as always man much love bro Cody
Aric talked about the transition of 60-Minute Session Blocks, and said it was on purpose to catch you off guard, and "Make you go 😮😮"
They better drop the extended version. Lmao
The meaning of the song also goes along with Maladapted, so it can kinda make sense for it to go right into it aswell!

That transition made me pause and actually do that face. Aric knows what the hell he's talking about. 😂

Favourite song on this album? Think mines Tithe by some margin, that chorus is too damn good
Tithe is mine as well, maybe my favorite HTS chorus ever honestly.

love chunker probably my favorite chorus in the album
Sad to hear that Chunker didn't vibe much with you. I think it has one of- if not the best outros Hail The Sun has ever done.
That song is 1000% a grower
