It was so nice to see all the different animals so beautiful my favorite was the wolf pack we are so blessed to have been able to see these animals. Thank you I hope the best for our future wildlife ❤❤
You definitely have a good abundance of wildlife there! Those cameras you put out really shows what you don't get to see when you're not there! Have a great week Martin! 🐺🐰🦝🦌🐇🦔🐿️🦦🦉🦢🦆🐾
Martin, you are an excellent teacher. At 73 years of age, I still confuse one mammal for another; but I think your video might have cured me of that. Another trait of yours makes it almost impossible for me to forget what you say. It's your lovely voice. Somehow, you manage (maybe it's a natural gift you have) to speak so objectively, so respectfully, without condescending tones, without judgmentalness, not one sound astray from careful pronunciation. And humor is another of your gifts. And a tonal quality that is beautiful. Please know the people you see are very, very fortunate to spend a little time with you. I'll remember bobcats and lynx now. Thank you.
Thank you Susan, I am so happy that the videos come out the way they do. Most of the time the narration is right off the top of my head with just a little thinking about the subject at hand. If I get tongue tied I just stop for a few seconds and start over and edit out the mistakes later.
Thanks for the wonderful wildlife video. Now I know at a glance the difference between the bobcat ( which I know) and the lynx ( which I do not ). Really enjoyed this as I sat in my rocking chair enjoying my first cup of coffee this morning. We have had weeks of rain here in Mississippi. Yesterday was a sunny day and today the sun in peeping through the trees. Sunday will be sunshine then the rain is coming back. God bless you and Vonnie in all y’all do. From deep southeast Mississippi.❤
Mr. Martin, thankyou for the trail cam video. What a variety of wild life. Love your snow videos. Have enjoyed all your videos for a few years now. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Quite rare to see bobcats and lynx sharing the same territory. I wonder if the bobcat was in transit to somewhere more open? As you pointed out, they're not really built for deep snow.
Morning, Martin! ☕️. You, not the critter LOL... hey i didnt know that about the black tip of the tail for Lynx/Bobcat identification....learnin everyday i tell ya!
Looks like you picked some good spots to put your trail cameras there Martin : ) I like to check the temperatures at the bottom of the screen ,-20c corr! That's much colder than I've ever experienced here in the UK
I always love your videos Martin. Been watching for awhile from Georgian Bay, Ontario. I have never commented. This video is showcasing your excellent natural resource knowledge and experience. As well, videographer talents.
This is so amazing I love seeing all of the wildlife in a wonderful environment and it looks like they are not only surviving but thriving is the water ways stocked with fish that benefits them would love to see them fishing even thou I’m so appreciative to you and for your teaching and posting these videos I learned a lot thank you thank you
Great Pics! The ear tufts is the only thing I knew about the Lynx. I saw a Lynx NE of Grand Marais on HWY 61 about a year and a half ago. Even with Lynx being more prevalent in NE MN it is still pretty rare based on convos with locals - still have yet to catch either Bobcat or Lynx on trail cams.
Today was the first day I ever heard of a Fisher, I could tell it was a Marten of some sort, but had never heard of the name in my nearly 50 years, how interesting. I really am enjoying this channel, Thanks Martin from Dartmoor, SW England
Great video in wny id never seen a fisher until three yrs ago they’re all over now and decimated the wild turkeys they go right up the trees and drag rm out
Nice shots Martin. Wild life is teaming around the cabin. I never knew the difference between a bobcat and a lynx. I Googled information about Lynx and there a four different species. Canada Lynx, Iberian Lynx, Eurasian lynx and bobcat.
A neighbor finally got fed up with the high water and had the beaver removed. The deceiver did its job but the beaver would eventually pile up enough mud to block the inlets.
Born and raised in Hibbing - still go up to the Bigfork area every fall. I ran a trapline when I was just a kid - not unusual for those of us who grew up in the far north in the 50s and 60s, so it's pretty easy to identify all the animals here, but lots of folks confuse the bobcat and lynx as well as the fisher and marten. Another rare animal I have only seen a couple times... a wolverine.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 Knowing this state pretty well, I had always wondered roughly where you were. My guess was a bit further east. You really are a ways from lynx territory, that was cool to see.
When spring hits I need to check my cams. With all the snow I see deer tracks but never have seen a wolf or bear on cam but heard wolves many times in the evening and I'm sure the bear population is there. Behind my cabin you have to go 5 Mike's into the wilderness before you hit a dwelling or road.
Martin: I loved every moment of this video. You now have another subscriber. I would love to video the wild animals around our 6 1/2 acres of cabin property. Do you have any advise about camera brands and best positioning or where to place them?
I use $80 to $100 Black Led cameras from Cabellas. Nice to have them on a trail where you can catch animals coming down the trail. Broadside shots often end up missing half the animal because even the best cameras have a .3 second delay. Avoid swaying anything as it will trigger the camera
Outstanding footage and I am amazed at how many different animals travel that spot by the water. Thanks for sharing, Would love to know what cameras you are using as you seem to have good luck with them. I’d like to get one or two for deer season and try the video function. Regards Mark
The only things you missed was a bear and a mountain lion. When you were younger did you or any cabin mates run a trap line up there? Looks like it would have been profitable. That Christmas day deer must have been tired from the work it di pulling the sleight the night before.
I did see Mountain Lion tracks one time years ago. Sooner or later one will wander by. I used to trap in Illinois but never up there. It is so far from the road with no ATV access so no trappers venture into that area and I am happy about that. Out there nature keeps itself in balance so no need to go after the carnivores.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 …Bud knows to keep his opinions to himself. Besides, he’s got Big Martin and Little Vonnie waaay up on that hero pedestal. Nobody around the club house would be stupid enough to post something negative about his heros.
Perfectly placed trail cams, Martin. Thank you so much for this video--a real privilege to see these critters up close! God bless you.

Marty's menagerie!! Wonderful shots all!
