Yes, the fox’s predators can’t see orange. In fact, their eyes associate the color orange with green, so orange is the best color for camouflage in the animal kingdom.
I just want to tell you that these videos are enchanting to me .We are very blessed to have your channel .Yes there is heartbreak sometimes like the wolf with one eye and the one with the injured paw, but we know these things exist and the joy of seeing the bear come up to your camera and the 3 wolves at night in the snow visibly taken with one another gives us faith in the beauty of all creation existing
Mamma Mia! That's a big chunky bear! The fox is so beautiful and bright! I don't recall ever seeing a wolf with mange but the coyotes aren't doing so well. 😊😊
There's quite a duality to nature, I also feel bad for the fawn at 0:28 but it's the cycle of life. If the wolf (or coyote) didn't get a meal they'd be falling weak to perish
And the limping wolf. I hope he was able to heal and survive. Fantastic footage. It's so great to see animals living the way they're supposed to, free and wild, instead of locked up and denied their birthright.
2:00 do y’all know if these wolves were play fighting or actually fighting? (like a lone wolf being attacked by a breeding pair or something). The way they were bouncing around seemed playful but when they were doing the little bite thing for a good few seconds i couldn’t tell haha.
@@Andrew-u8w Oh i’ve seen actual fights, i just couldn’t tell if this one was the beginning of one, who just a less intense skirmish…wolf relationships are complex depending on the situation
I'm guessing the one doing the bite was an older member of the pack and felt the one on the ground was misbehaving, so it needed to be brought back in line
Excellent footage. The bright coat of the fox to the enormous black bear. The injured wolves and coyote was very sad. The wolf packs were awesome and free and fun and wild. ❤️
Why are there so many people getting angry about deer versus wolves? There are around a million deer in Minnesota, and only a couple thousand gray wolves. Predators are an important part of the ecosystem. They control prey populations so that they don’t get too big and hurt the environment (for example, too many deer eating natural grasslands and eroding them). People getting up in arms about wolves are the exact reason why they were hunted to near extinction just a century ago. Know your place. Humans are just one animal species on this earth that we all share with other animals. You can’t be god and control these animals.
I don't know about all that. I live about as far north as you can get in MN. There are wolves around sure. But a few years ago basically most of the deer disappeared. It wasn't wolves, not enough of them to do that. At least not in this area. I guarantee that I spend more time in the wilderness on a daily basis up here than you do, and would know if the wolves are killing hundreds or thousands of deer in my area. CDW, which unfortunately is becoming very prevalent up here, and weather, lack of food, etc. is the reason for deer population size. It's not like northern MN had a huge and stable deer population ever. The moose is a totally other thing. There hasn't been a large population of moose up here in a long, long time. There are more now than there have been in decades. Interestingly enough, there are tons of turkeys now. In the last 5 or 6 years it went from seeing 0 to seeing large flocks all the time. Following your logic, I guess wolves don't like to eat turkey? BS
@@devschlong cell cams tell a different story. And they beavers disappearing from trap lines. I’m not as far north as you, but the deer numbers were way down around here before those two harsh winters.

Years ago, you might have seen a deer in these video clips. Too bad. MN is more interested in blowing millions of dollars on studies and maintaining cameras in the big woods to try and figure out any other reason why the deer and moose are damn near extinct in norther MN. You might think these wolves are "cute", but they kill and eat a lot.
Sir two things, first the people who made this video chose their favorite clips from the past couple of years so they could have chosen to not include deer. Second if wolves truly decimate deer populations, then how the hell have deer been able to survive in North American while dealing with grizzlies, black bears, jaguars, cougars, coyotes, wolves, and humans? How do prey animals survive anywhere else in the world?
@@valtr__ could be that they are now functioning as an invasive species (like cats) but I personally don’t believe wolves are causing the lack of deer content. I think deer content just isn’t that good for viewer retention.
It's great to see tax dollars being spent on research and making money off the internet. Even though it os illegal for a tax paying citizen to apply or use a trail camera on state land. Hypocrite state.
Right so you complain about tax dollars being spent but then in the same sentence complain about them using that footage to potentially generate funds, which they then can use in place of the tax dollars, makes a whole lot of sense man. So by your logic you'd prefer this agency doesn't make any attempt to fund raise and rely solely on government funding, great plan.
Do not be ungrateful and betray the poor and altruistic animals that give you and humans food and help by protecting dangerous animals such as wolves and bears, do not believe the ecosysteem lie that wolves, bears and crocodiles do not give us anything, of course you do not care about others because they do not hurt you and you do not feel fear.
@Redstoneprime316 Don't lie, the only harmful thing in the ecosysteem is the proliferation of humans and dangerous animals, tell me what good does a wolf or a bear do to us?
00:21 that's the most vibrant Red Fox i've ever seen. Beautiful.
I'm guessing his predators or prey can't see the color orange.
Sit still and pretends to be a traffic cone
But the colour is good camo against the dead reeds behind it so maybe it lives in forests where there are dead deciduous leaves a lot of the year.

That black bear was a tank lol
