Strength of mind and body, mental strength is important goal, we should keep our mind concentrated on martial arts knowledge or what will make it stronger.

Identifying with the thoughts of the opponent with our own mind is a shinobi ninja belief.

I really hate the fact that movie lists don't place this as the best ninja movie ever, because it definitely is. It is the one true god of all Ninja movies because it doesn't even try to pretend to be anything but the pure cheese that all ninja movies truly are. The height of all things ninja was the 80's ninja craze, and this was THE 80's ninja craze movie, period. That makes this this the #1 ninja movie of all time. If you were a kid growing up in the 80's, and you were into the ninja thing like I was, I guarantee you didn't love another movie more that summer -- this was it for you, just like it was for me. Black Belt magazine and Stephen K Hayes books sat right next to it, or you were only flirting. Me? I mowed lawns and earned myself a ninja suit, and I sprung for the tabi, too!

Between pretending to be The A-Team and G.I. Joe, my friends and I would be ninjas. Nothing better than taking a t-shirt and using the neckhole as the eye-slit for a ninja mask
. This scene in particular cracks me up because we all learned the hand gestures.

For those wondering about Franco Nero (originally, Francesco Clemente Giuseppe Sparanero - who portrays Angolan Bush War veteran Cole), he was also Val Verde drug lord/dictator General Ramon Esperanza in Die Hard 2 roughly a decade later - amongst numerous roles.

And he had no martial arts training, all the fight scenes in this film were doubled by karateka Mike Stone.

I grew up knowing him as Django primarily. He was more of a cameo in Die Hard 2. He also cameo'd in Django Unchained in the mandingo scene.

Oh, by the way... those hand symbols he's doing? Straight out of Stephen K. Hayes' chapter on Ninja meditation (forget which book). I used to do it out in the back yard exactly as taught, and it was honestly amazing - like self-hypnosis. Anyway, it's accurate.
