I remember the first day I heard you fellas in your debut album ROCK 'N ROLL RENEGADE by your band ROCK MACHINE...I was bowled over...what numbers. and then you became INDUS CREED changing your music after you hired that American as your manager. Loved your stage sows as well. You were one band that really moved me after HIGH from Kolkata in the 60s.

We got cable with MTV in Aug 1991. It was just a month or two earlier that the whole package came to India courtesy Star TV (and the Congress govt.). In fact, when we visited the cable guy's place, I asked him to tune in to MTV and the first two songs I watched were "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Warrant and "Calling Elvis" by Dire Straits. It was MTV that convinced us to get cable TV hookup.

Mihir HIGH from Kolkata back in the 60s were one of the first bands who DID NOT play covers but originals. They were a legend in India back then till the 70s and they were lucky to have JS the youngsters mag from Calcutta to back the band.

This was long ago for sure but Mihir was a bad interviewer. You ask a question and you don't interrupt the the interviewee while they respond.

Back then the only good musicians from India are from Calcutta and SHILLONG.....now everything is garbage especially when Bollywood music took over..

Mihir dude, I understand your excitement and want to showcase that you have some knowledge about rock music and its evolution but when you have a rockstar like Uday from Rock Machine/Indus Creed to interview, it would help if you shut up. This constant need to keep jutting in with fillers when UB was speaking was a real interview killer. Please do better the next time...
