I'm sorry that you have to wait so long this time. There were a few acquaintances and some unforeseen difficulties that slowed down my uploads. Stay patient, it will continue soon. :)
at least it is not a nasty hidden short between drain and gate for low side ram mosfet lol btw you and i worked on it some time ago and thank you for help
Hello, thanks a lot for your interesting videos! I'm asking me why you need the serial number etc in the new BIOS again? It would be much easier to just download the latest BIOS from the company webside and flash it to the chip. I did that many times with the CH341a device for normal ATX mainboards and it was never an issue. Is it different for notebook mainboards?
Well, it is basically just the "extra mile" to restore this system with it original S/N, Windows license and everything else unique, nothing more. I do agree that it will basically work without all this extra stuff done on most of the cases, too
Hi great video! I unfortunatley have that same computer and same problem, I have problems downloading the bios bin file, is there any chance I can buy the file from you so I can fix mine ? greetings from Denmark
Do these lenovos no longer have USB bios recovery methods? Most machines I've come across have at least some method in the documentation for doing so. Generally a specifically formatted USB key (Fat32, or exFAT) with the bios file renamed and placed right on the root of the drive, and then holding a certain combination of keys. Grabbing the latest from the website and doing that seems much easier than un-soldering the chip and reading it/rebuilding manually.
I don't know to be honest. For me, it is faster to remove and reprogram than to do complex research for.. minutes... hours? I don't know. But thanks for the hint. Regards
Makes sense. For the ones I've done, usually about a 10-15 minute procedure by the time I've found the instructions and downloaded the new bios. That does of course require that the board be fully functional otherwise. The post code you were getting with the LED on the board also likely indicates the same thing. The fact that it was functioning enough to display that is a good sign that USB recovery methods would work. As long as there's no malfunction in the memory itself.
Honestly id question if apple has much of a bigger battery when it comes to actual energy storage, Wh.. Also, there is a limit how far you can go, if i recall correctly its 99Wh, anything above that and you cannot bring the device in planes and so, so manufacturers tend to be below that
I am sorry to disappoint your expectations. In my opinion, the diagnostic steps until the point to flash the BIOS are important, especially if it turns out not being a BIOS issue. I have released a few dozend videos with other faults. Some were complicated to diagnose, and some were hard to solve. Maybe you'll like them more. Best regards
Nice one pure bios fault for an change. Good work Mike

Excelent repair now you give me hope for some repair I have. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Smooth diagnostic 👍 Thanks for sharing
Nice to know how to rule out if its the bios issue. Keep up the good work! ❤
Thank you again my friend! If you receive a case where I could help you, don't mind to contact me. 👍

it was doing the same like this one on battery and on the power just stay on
Appreciated ❤❤❤
The actual repair has been done on the BIOS. Would be interesting to know, what exactly has been done with the BIOS, just CleanME or more?
If i understand correctly, it was rebuilt from an official update file. The other two guys can explain better. :)
Bien fait

Good job brotha! :)
of course it's a bios issue. lenovo always boot loops or flashes caps lock and boot loops when bios update failed.
windows 10 doing bios updates along with its normal win10 feature updates is my theory on this problem. no windows, no problem.

The problem with laptop companies is that they do not take advantage the empty space for bigger batteries... only Apple does that

The design of this laptop is risiculous,so much free space inside and they used a small battery
27 minutes video with common bios reflashing...OMG
