where do you think layer two of the iceberg would go on the iceberg
@@JimTheCurator layer 2 is obviously S teir
@@texastuna2090 Oh hell yeah.
That "civil war" photo was how I learned to spot Photoshop back in the day. The rule of thumb is to look for consistent shadows. The treeline has lighter shadows than the Thing by a mile, yet the men appear to cast no shadows. On top of that, the trees indicate a light source to the top-left of the image while the Thing's shadow is straight down.
That's not even acknowledging the generally shitty compositing. :v
I can remember year's ago seeing a photo very similar to the "civil war photo", but the difference was not soldier's but cowboy's. Chap's, Stetson's the lot.....
I was obviously intrigued, but like most cryptids, ghosts, aliens, I want to believe, but.....
Not too long ago I learned that early cowboys didn't wear Stetson's, but something similar to bowler hats. So putting another nail in the coffin of it being faked....
@@StoffelDilligasI think your talking about the thunderbird photo which I believe is also photoshop but I could be wrong
@@ReyJeezy305 quite possibly, but if I remember correctly it was in a book that also had a section on some cowboy's or prospectors blasting a cave open and on breaking a seal, a Pterosaur flapped it's wings, tried to make an escape but collapsed. But I could be totally wrong
Best cryptid TH-camr out here by far, the videos just keep coming to. Earned my respect and a sub
Appreciate that man, thanks for the sub
Awesome! Also A cryptid crocodilian iceberg would be epic! 🔥🐊
Also one of the cryptid crocs that is more likely to find still extant than even a thylacine is called mekosuchus, a terrestrial dwarf land dwelling crocodile that is semi arboreal and can gallop and climb very well.
There are other cryptid crocs such as the
Mahamba of the Congo,
Lipata of Angola,
Gbahali from Liberia,
Celebes, or Sulawesi lake crocodile,
The urufere of Brazil, Guyana which is said to be a terrestrial sebecid crocodile given the descriptions of the sounds and visible large teeth. And is said to be brightly colored like a Jaguar.
There is also Amazon river crocodile
And others as well.
Dinosaur cryptids iceberg we need
Great video series, I’m learning about loads of new crypyids, keep em coming mate.
Thanks for all of your hard work, Zoanfly!!!
You have no idea how happy makes me to hear that more people are knowing about the Mboitui and the Guarani mythology,
Really liked the video, especially the start. Nice editing
Damn bro u dropped this right as i was leaving work n starting my weekend. A good sign its going to be a great weekend 🎉😂🎉🎉🎉
Yessirrr hopefully u have a great one man
Thank you for this, I’d wanna see part two ❤️
I once spotted what I assume was a thunderbird while walking next to my towns pond it flew about as high as any other predatory bird but was so big the shadow it casted covered my body 3 times and then some
It looked like a hawk or eagle just extremely large
Little note btw at the time I was 6 so I wasn't too tall at the time
I love the music you put in your videos
Great Work 🔥
Idk why, but I feel like I could fall asleep watching your videos. Im not saying they are boring, as i find them very interesting! But I think it's something with the way your voice is. Idk man.
Nobody ever mentions the Tuscumbria Space Penguins! They're one of my favourite UFOnauts.
LES GOOO ANOTHER ICE BERG
Everyone knows that the Moa is still alive on Epsilon Eridani II and makes really good burgers. No idea why anyone would think it's extinct.
I mean, they got glassed together with the rest of Reach, so it’s razonable to think that if all of the UNSC forces died, so did the local Fauna
The civil war photo is easily dismissed, photo shopping was a thing before digital, and wasn't unknown of at that time, and it's easy enough to take a picture of a picture and spread that, but lots of edited photos circulated since photography became widespread and accessible.
Awesome work as usual :) glad to see more of these coming!
Thanks for stopping by again, I'm happy you like the vid :D
21:58 another detail about The bennu bird not mentioned in the segment is that it may have been inspired by a now extinct 6 foot tall heron that used to live in the area called the Bennu heron.
21:35 In the mythology, Tengu were the ones that taught Ninjitsu to the Samurai. Shinobi had no problem letting the myths spread because it created more fear & mysticism around them.
Would love to see a Encounters of the third Kind Iceberg👽
Would also like to see a Former Cryptids Iceberg (animals that were once thought to be cryptids or mythical, but turn out to be real, e.g. okapi, giant squid, coelacanth, megamouth shark, giant panda, Komodo dragon, gorilla, platypus)
Yeah 🎉❤️thx a lot
Piasa... It's pronounced Pie-uh-saw.
Another hood classic. If you ever do any media related icebergs let me record a part for it.
I hope I learn some new drawing ideas from thisssss
Nice
Bro we just talked on this yesterday how do you do this so well and so fast?!?!
I had half the script done before just needed to finish up and then do the rest of the stuff
8:00 Lezucha is something I was told about as a child. When a Colombian family friend stayed over. She told about a giant bird (she said giant bird, not bird lady) that will take away if I stayed out at night. Glad to finally put a name on that, it's been over 14 years. 😅 She really scared me, it was dusk and she kept looking at the sky.
8:50 On a side note, this section has some excellent illustrations (if these turn out to be mostly AI, I'm afraid I'm going to eat those words...!)
14:52 I LOVED this likl guy in "Monty Python & the Holy Grail"!
Possibly a Subterranean cryptids iceberg could be worth it the wait instead?
I’d love a part two ❗️🫣❤️
Noted noted ty for ur feedback!!
I have a strange feeling this will blow up. Mainly due to TH-cam recommending me
I hope!! I've been thinking about if this video will do good for the whole day lol
I love this interesting videos ❤❤❤❤ i am n interested n it
I thought the Roper being Pterosaur-like was mostly due to a single schizo wannabe paleontologist, and that the actual myth doesn't really resemble one.
I could be wrong, just what I have been generally led to believe when I've heard about it.
U, R, awesome
I ate the last moa bird. I'm sorry, I was hungry
What’s the song in the background?
In the description you should be able to find it with the link too, if not I can just type the name here
@@Zoanfly thank you.
Do a iceberg about ice
i would like to see a scary movie iceberg
What if its like the secret society from Glass situation for cryptids.

From perplexing p(l)ants to aggravated avians, when will it end?

Ik it's cliche and overdone but considering how many are based off of cryptids and yokai would u ever do a pokemon iceberg?
ha imagine if the Raven in Poe's Raven was an Utburour
Cryptids of the Northwest Coast!
We need locations world iceberg
Could u elaborate on this?
Strange and mysterious 🙂👍
Awesome suggestion, thank you!! I'll write that down in my notes
Can we get a cryptid by region iceberg next? I was hoping for something related to the jungle, the desert or something similsr
yes he did it all because of me
Do you mean avian or aerial
Do u think aerial would rather fit the video I’m not sure if I should change it
@@Zoanfly Most of them are birds so for the most part it works but a few of them aren't so aerial might fit better
The first one looks like a frigate bird
I’m pretty sure sightings of living pterosaurs could be the inspiration for Rodan in the Godzilla franchise.
Also, would like to see Kongamato as a Titan in the MonsterVerse.
Pretty sure they were simply just inspired by pterosaurs, specifically pteranadon for Rodan. Even his real Japanese name is just ラドン 'Radon' from 'pteradon'
Hell ya erosion birds 😂
Whats up with new youtubers always making their videos way to quiet lol
Canine cryptids? Or has that already been done here 🤔
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! yea I covered that one but If you have any more suggestions I'd love to hear them
the Assa Borom reminds me an ogre

I really enjoy your videos, but you really gotta work on properly pronouncing a lot of words that you use.
English cryptid names from Great Britain or Australia are goofy af lmao.
